Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location was perfect for the Acropolis, the Plakka and for restaurants. Breakfast was very good with some variety each day. Room 701 was a treat with incredible views of the Acropolis. Staff were all extremely helpful.

AustraliaNothing from my perspective. My room (small double with Acropolis view) was perfect for a single but would be tight for a couple, mainly from the perspective of stowing luggage and toiletries. Would be perfect for a couple within Europe on a short break travelling light, though.
Amazing location. Comfortable, compact and quiet room with terrace and stunning view of Acropolis. I only wish I’d had more time in Athens but given the location it was perfect area from which to explore. Continental breakfast was welcome for the early starts. Would absolutely stay here again.

The location and view were amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great much better than expected. The patio was huge and comfortable for a night cap with a spectacular view of the acropolis. It was a short scenic walk to major attractions.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Athens that boasts a stunning view of the Acropolis, and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect, being close to the city center and all major attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the vibrant city. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and waking up to the sight of the Acropolis is truly magical.

United StatesOk, we should have read the pricing list for services. Even so, we had a small collection of laundry done and the cost was 140 EUR. Again, we take responsibility for missing this. Laundry service for socks, underwear and a few t-shirts should not be this expensive. If a budget matters to you, find a local laundromat.
The location was really hard to beat - we had a view of the Acropolis from the hotel roof! A short walk up the hill and you are at the museum. Go a little further and the Parthenon is in plain sight.
