Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe place is a bit tired and could do with a bit of updating.
We loved the location, very quiet with lovely views of mountains and the church. The beach, shops, tavernas and cafes were just 5 minutes' walk away. The rooms are compact but practical, bed was comfy . They are basic rooms so if you want full on luxury this isn't the place for you. Traditional in style, there is a very small place to prepare food and drinks if required. There is a tabletop hob but we found it impractical to use as there isn't sufficient space to work but here is a fridge and kettle and some storage so breakfast and snacks are absolutely fine, and there's a table and chairs on the balcony to eat. Shower room is traditional shower curtain but water is lovely and hot and pressure always good. Rooms are cleaned regularly. Nice, quiet pool for swimming and chilling (we went mid September, would be much busier in mid summer) Maria and Jani are on hand with any help or advice, they couldn't be more helpful.

United KingdomThe only thing I found and I realise it’s a personal preference is the bed mattress was slightly on the firm side for me.
Stayed as a family of 5 adults in June in 3 separate ground floor studios. The complex was nice and quiet and a 2-3 minute walk to the main road where you turn right and head towards the beach and tavernas. The studios were typically what you would expect in Greece and definitely suited our requirements. Yes they are not modern but all functioned, the shower is powerful, which is unusual to find in Greece and yes the cold wet shower curtain sticks to you but it all adds to the Greek experience. We don’t usually have air conditioning included in our previous Greek holidays so to have it included was a luxury and worked sufficient enough to cool the room. The swimming pool is a great size and most afternoons we had it to ourselves and had a drink from the pool bar too. Maria and Aris were very welcoming and were happy to talk if you wanted or just as happy to leave you to enjoy your holiday too.

United KingdomNothing I didn't like, just suggestions - -Comfortable armchairs in the room to replace wooden ones so there's a place to sit and relax. -Softer mattresses or toppers available as bed was very hard.
Perfect location, just a couple of minutes from everything and fab view of the church on the rock. Exceptionally clean- the lovely cleaner comes daily. Very welcoming staff, Maria welcomed me, even kept the pool open a little later after I arrived for a cooling swim as it was so hot, and even took me right to the shops when I asked her how to get there. Pool is lovely, perfect size with a few lilos provided, and there's a pool bar, though it sells only drinks, no snacks or food but they are happy for you to have your own. Apartment basic but very clean and bright, good wifi, two balconies in my room, electric kettle which is always an essential for me, fridge and double burner hob. Air conditioning was also excellent which was essential as it was almost 40 degrees. There was also a book exchange and seating area indoors with facilities for showering and luggage storage for those with later check outs.

ItalyWe found the swimming pool closed, but we had imagined because of the period, both because it was Easter day and because it was the beginning of May. We only stayed one night so it went well!
The location of the place is excellent, few minutes from the center of Petra and close to the sea. the staff was very kind, the owners were friendly and welcoming. Recommended!

United KingdomNothing- everything was perfect.
We loved the central, peaceful location of the accommodation & the lovely pool area. The accommodation is typically Greek & we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The thing that made our holiday though were the fabulous hosts. They are passionate about their business and we were made to feel very welcome.

CanadaBit far from bus but really not an issue. Don't like that the 'common room' is so smokey but I just treated it like a private area.
Nice place with some kitchen items to cook. Pool. Decent bathroom and even a balcony.

AustraliaFirstly, we were told not to decrease the air conditioner to under 23 degrees as it makes no difference. As a refrigeration mechanic, this is totally false and misleading. This was conveyed to us to eliminate having the compressor working harder as it consumes more power. Secondly, the fridge smelt like a dead cat and the temperature was on 2...again to eliminate the consuming of more power. To top it off, we were given 1 bath towel to use for 3 days before they were changed....absolutely disgusting. Maria, the host, was abrupt and rude upon our arrival and set the rules straight like school children. Wont be returning!
The only great thing about this accommodation is the location. It's only 5 minutes from town.

The only best part of the facility was the pool.

TurkeyCity is not for young people. It is pretty small and silent.
This cute family hotel is running by the loveliest couple is one of the best places you can visit at Petra. They are really helpful, they informed us about where to go and what to do in the city. They even gave little presents for us when we arrived at the hotel. I recommend them %100. You will love the hotel.

AustraliaProfessional photography enhanced the visual appeal of the property. Had one operational power point over 2 rooms, beds were hard, no water supplied but in saying this it was cheap to stay.
Property was in a good location, short walk into shops and restaurants but tucked away so was nice and quiet. Pool was lovely.
