Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Nice staff. Large, pleasant room with good shower. Right across the street from sandy beach. Decent breakfast. Nice veranda on 2nd floor for rooms. Kind staff helped carry luggage to room.

United StatesHotel Ostria was the first hotel we have stayed in when visiting Naxos (we normally booked apartment or villa), and we chose it for the super location and friendliness of the people when visiting to say hello last year. It exceeded our expectations, breakfast was great, everywhere was super clean, the rooms appear freshly decorated, have mozzie screens (unlike other places we have stayed), we hung out on their sun-beds on the best beach in Greece in the daytime, and generally had a super relaxing time. If you want looking after, and not to need do anything yourself, we recommend highly.

United StatesThe room for 3 people was a little too small for 3 adults to fit comfortably with luggage etc. Those rooms should be advertised more for 2 adults and a child.
We loved the location, people and value of the room. The breakfast was delicious, the staff was friendly and the waterfront location cannot be beat. It was close to many delicious restaurants, shopping and of course the beach. Yiannis was amazing!

United StatesMore of an issue of architecture then staff or hotel quality, was the fact that the bathroom of the room next to us was located right next to our bed and we could hear the occupants peeing and using the toilet every time they used it. Not exactly what you want to be hearing as you lay in bed.
Staff was wonderful, always willing to help and accommodate. Proximity and convenience of hotel to restaurant and beach was fantastic. Place was always kept clean and staff was very helpful with suggestions on local sites and businesses.

United StatesRotation of beach towels every 3 days was not the best. Towels get really wet and very hard from the beach.
First, the location. You cannot beat the location. Steps from the most amazing beach in Naxos. A G Prokopios The best staff. Yanny, our hotel manager, was the best. Anything you needed, he got. Rooms were an amazing value. Breakfast included. The Restraunt on the property was very good. Beach food could be ordered and drinks too. We stay 9 days at this property and should have stayed for a month.

United KingdomEverything was lovely. The beach chairs and sun shades were free up to end of May, for those having a drink or food brought to them...excellent beach service. Then 1st June to end of September, they are charged €15 for set of two beds and one shade, daily. No reduction for hotel guests. All beds along the beach are managed this way by the establishments opposite..
Small and private and relaxing. Only 15 rooms. Just yards across road from lovely beach. The road is a cul de sac so little traffic. Cool, simple, rooms with fridge, sink and tea/coffee. Shower always hot. Room cleaning daily if required. Delightful staff. Breakfast was good..with variety. Lots of eateries along road but hotel Trattoria was excellent too and with good menu and fair pricing . Location is excellent, as just a short drive from the port and it's an easy exit for going exploring the island without going through town.

SwitzerlandUnfortunately even for hotel guests, and with ordered food and drinks, hotel beach charges for sun beds. We had some issues with no hot water in the mornings, looks like they only restart the heating at certain hour.
The room was nice and clean, with a nice private balcony and shared veranda

This is an excellent place as for family, also for couples. The hotel is right on the Agios Prokopios beach. 50 meters from the bus stop, which actually goes around in every 30 minutes and you can be in Naxos port in about 15 minutes. Ianiss ( John ) helped us a lot and I would like to thank him once again. There are couple of restaurants around, several supermarkets and a pharmacy. This is the place from where you don't need to go anywhere. The room was clean and we had great sleep.

AustraliaClean and cosy, family friendly hotel right in front of a lovely sunset beach. The breakfast was good and the staff, especially Giannis (John) had a welcoming smile to greet us every morning for breakfast! The room had a mini fridge and coffee facilities. The front beach was beautiful with a stunning sunset. As a family 5 with 3 teenager boys, we all agreed that although not incredibly spacious, we would all recommend it and will definitely return to Ostria Hotel again.

GermanyAbsolutely fantastic location. Right at the beach, close to multiple restaurants, a bus stop and small shops for some necessities. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely breakfast. Beach was wonderful, in order to use the beach chairs one just had to purchase some food /drinks throughout the day, all of which was very reasonably priced and service was great.
