Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe gym could use a slight revamp.
By now, tried several hotels in Naxos. By far the best. So tranquil and quiet (finally, I slept a night without waking) and yet well connected to the road towards Chora. Great pool. Nice atmosphere at the front desk; lots of lounge space. Good WI-FI. Good breakfast. All good here!

United StatesFar away from the city, however you can take the bus to the city and the nearest beach. The hotel is about 15 minuets walk from the beach , but it is very dangerous to walk , due to high traffic area and no walk way.
It was very clean, friendly staff. Breakfast was good.

France- Old/ not refurbished, especially the bathrooms - Outdoor shower dirty - No sidewalk to go to the beach (10min walk)
- Staff was very friendly - Great swimming pool - Bus stop just in front of the hotel - Nice room with sea view and no noise from the road - Generous buffet for breakfast + for dinner possibility to choose salad & main plate (not really Greek cuisine but ok)

CanadaFood was mediocre e.g., over cooked pork gyros or undercooked bacon. Comfy beds Lack of help from staff either not available or nonexistent e.g. luggage to room Music around pool limited genres either too loud or non existent Restaurant decor seems outdated Had to ask staff to wipe down tables Lots of staff seem to be sitting around e.g. in pool area I had to bring my dishes to the bar so I could use the table top
Friendly staff ease of access to town and transit.

United KingdomThis is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms and decor were dated and the bathroom could have done with a good dose of cillit bang (mould remover). There was an odour in the room when we arrived; a mustardy smell. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. There were 2 pools there, the top one had algae growing on the floor, which put us off going in there. We were only there 2 days, which was sufficient. Location of the hotel is a bit remote. There was a bus stop outside the hotel (buy tickets from reception 2 euros each; very reasonable), but It was difficult indicating to the driver when you wanted to get off, when the bus was excessively full of people. Need to be careful walking on the roads, there are some pavements, then they stop and you have got cars, buses and scooters passing you. Naxos has got some beautiful beaches, the sea is warm and the sunsets are amazing. I will definitely return, but not stay at this hotel.
Breakfast had a very good selection.

United KingdomNo fault of the hotel, but evening buses can be difficult to catch into town. Consider leaving into town early in the evening when buses are every 15 mins or take a taxi. Or hire a bike or car if you're not planning to drink.

United KingdomSome days we struggled to get a sun bed. A few of them had broken whilst we were there (not by us), and not replaced. The smaller children’s pool looked like it needed a good clean but the main pool seemed ok.
The room was basic but fine & cleaned everyday & fresh towels, which was great. We had a fabulous view from our balcony over the pool area & Naxos town in the distance. The pool area was great & the bar staff very friendly. The staff at reception were helpful. The location was also great, being equidistant from the town & the beaches. Having the bus stop right outside the hotel was brilliant, as both were quite a walk away. We thought it was great value for money & hope to return next year.

GreeceCoffe was terrible. Even the stuff was vying coffe from another place with delivery. The bathroom door was rotten in the bottom from the water getting out of the shower. Poor shower facilities. Reception never asked us if we had a good time or how was our staying at the hotel. Also they charged me for a beer in the end that i never had.
Overall staying is alright.

United KingdomThe hotel tried to charge €17 for a shuttle from the port to the hotel even though it’s only an 8minute drive. When you can get the bus for €2 and it stops at the hotel. The hot tub and sauna wasn’t in use. The wifi wasn’t so great. Even after asking reception for a router it didn’t really make it much better, still kept cutting out and although the rooms were cleaned daily and beds were made, there were ants in our room and bed.
Good location, close to Agios Prokopios beach approximate 10-15min walk to that area. The facilities at Naxos Palace hotel were great, good pool and lots of options for breakfast. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel, so you should use this for €2 rather than getting a shuttle.
