Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainEverything was perfect. Having stayed in lots of different types of accommodation around the world, we have to say this is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Spiros was on hand at all times and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is right on the beach and we had designated sunbeds that we could use whenever we wanted. This was a big money saver as a lot of the beach sunbeds are linked to local restaurants who require a minimum spend. The beach is gorgeous and the sunbeds at the restaurants next door get swapped for tables so you can dine with your feet in the sand just yards away from the hotel. It's right in the heart of Aghia Ana but not next to any noisy places, so it really was a perfect spot. The view from the balcony is beautiful, looking out across the sea to Paros, with stunning sunsets directly in front. The rooms themselves are modern, clean and had everything we needed (the coffee machine wasn't working but Spiros immediately provided a replacement). We are already planning our return trip to Naxian Althea!

South AfricaBeach can be very busy, but it was August and peak season so that is to be expected. Good news is that there are other beaches you can walk to 10 minutes away which are stunning. Walk past the port and behind the church and you will find paradise.
Excellent accommodation, very comfortable, well appointed. Dolce Gusto coffee machine and sandwich toaster in the room a big plus. The exclusive beach chairs and umbrella reserved on the beach for Althea guests directly in front of the accommodation are superb. Room balcony overlooks beach and ocean, go to sleep hearing the waves gently lapping the beach. Good restaurants on your doosrtep and 2 mini-markets very close by to fill your room mini-fridge. Bus stop 50m away from accommodation. Spiros is a very attentive and responsive host.

United KingdomThe wifi is not consistent across the whole room. It was very strong in the balcony and the sun beds so it didnt really bother me that much.
Beach front. You have your own sun beds ready for you when you wake up. You also have your own balcony big enough for you to sit, have coffee, eat and watch the sunset. Spiros is also very helpful, right from when i booked the hotel he already messaged me and until we checked out he was there to assist us. The room cleaning staff was also there every day. We came back every day and the room was already made up.

We loved our stay at Naxian Althea!. The host was gracious enough to leave some water, and Juices for our arrival and those small details go a long way! The location cannot be beaten! You are literally in front of the sea. I really enjoyed the constant soothing and calming sound of the waves crashing into the shore as soon as we opened our terrace doors. Another thing that makes this a great location was access to supermarkets very close by. Access to 2 different car rental places a block or two away. Several great restaurants some literally downstairs and others just steps away. The fact that the apartment was very well insulated with a nice and cold AC split unit and was very quiet at night with the special wooden blinds that kept the room completely dark during the day or night to help you recharge should not be missed. Beds were clean and comfortable, and the terrace/balcony was really nice as well as useful for drying clothes, towels, and swimsuits with the drying rack/clips or simply sitting down to enjoy the view and sound of the sea. The host was responsive and helped coordinate the transfer from the port as well as being able to do a later check-out due to some mistake on my part coming back (really late at night) from a different island the night before our departure. The host was gracious and flexible and allowed us to stay for a couple of extra hours for our check-out the next day on short notice and even though there was another reservation coming in right after us. All in all, we could not have asked for a better stay in Naxos and more specifically Agia Anna. After spending some time exploring the rest of the nearby beaches, I have to say that Agia Anna is definitely one of the best beaches on the whole island! The water remains calm throughout the day even when the Meltemi winds are blowing.

ItalyEverything was absolutely perfect.
In few words: best stay ever. The property is amazing, right on what is in my opinion the most beautiful beach of Naxos (when I say right on, it means literally you are on the beach). Every room has its own gorgeous balcony with sea view and the bars next doors can serve you on the balcony. Simply amazing. Every room has its own reserved sun beds and umbrella which makes everything simply perfect and worry free. The rooms are also nicely decorated, fresh clean sun towels provided daily, and coffee and soft drinks offered upon arrival. The owner, Spiros, is just AMAZING. He will make the stay even better. He is utterly kind, welcoming, and at your full disposal for any question/need. Will come back for sure.

United StatesThe room was a little small and basic, but we weren't expecting luxury for the price. Not good for people who have difficulties climbing narrow stairs.
The owner Spiros was awesome. He was there every day to make sure we had what we needed and was only a text message away when we needed anything. The location was great for a relaxing quieter beach experience. It is on the Ana beach and It was less windy there than most of the other beaches we visited which was a nice benefit. It is a short walk down to Prokopio beach which seemed to be the more lively area with younger more active adults were hanging out. It was nice to have our own beach chairs included as part of our stay which made it very easy to hang out on the beach all day or walk around and come back knowing we had a spot.
