From the first day until our last in the hotel the staff was always responsive to our needs, always asking if we needed anything, very friendly from the receptionists to the cleaning ladies. Very clean private beach, spotless sand, quick sunbed service and comfortable sunbeds. Rooms with a high quality standard, modern and always clean. both breakfast and dinner were varied, for all tastes and from all international cuisines. We also want to mention Liana, from the guest relations service. She was so great with us. Ask her about anything you want or can do in the hotel or outside the hotel. She will help you with everything! For sure we will come back to Nautilux!

There are so many things about this hotel that are exceptional, but first and most of all are the people who work there. Such kindness, patience and catering is deserving of more than a 10. And this grade is because of them. Especially I would like to mention Liana who has done everything and beyond to make it a great stay for us. Furthermore, this hotel's location is perfect if you want to have a great relaxing get-away vacation. It connects straight onto a beach and is a short taxi ride to Rethymno core town, or you can have a 30minute stroll down the strand (all the way along the beach). As we expected from Greek cuisine, the food was fantastic, but what made it better was all the options we had during breakfast and dinner time - ranging from savory, both for meat lovers and vegans to sweet (those strawberry tarts were insanely good) a lot of variation every day. We were there for 10 days and never got bored with the food (actually gained some nice sea-vacation weight :D ) The hotel has a modern design, which might for some things be limiting, but it s nothing that the hotel's staff cannot take care for you, so you can have the best holiday stay! The catering is professional and amazing, from the hotel area to the double pool area and straight down to the beach. You can lie down comfortably in sunbeds, get your cocktails served directly to you and enjoy the sun and seaairwithout moving a finger, and have your perfectly deserved lazy vacation. Speaking of Sun, Rhetymno must have some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world - don't miss out on sitting at the beach in the evening, with a glass of vine at your side and enjoy the sun setting in. Even though the hotel itself is some way from both of the airports - hotel can organize a pick up/drop off ride for you or it is easy as well to book a taxi online with many respectible services.

The only aspect we would suggest needs improving is the gym. We like to have a morning workout to keep us feeling good whilst away so we can enjoy all the lovely food and the gym was tiny and had to be booked due to the size. The hotel would also benefit from an Al A Carte option in the evening to provide a more premium experience for a 5 star hotel as only buffet was available and so we chose to eat out each night instead.

We had a fantastic stay at Nautilux. The location was great, located on a beach front and 30 mins walk into the centre of the town which we enjoy to stretch our legs in the evening. The pool and private beach area was perfect - lovely and peaceful. We had an amazing room with a hot tub due to an upgrade by the lovely Liana. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and replaced often. The staff were all amazing, really friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you, you can tell they all enjoy their jobs and work well as a team. I would stay at this hotel and brand of hotels again. We also had a great treatment at their spa. Thank you for a beautiful relaxing week.

Small gripe that you have to pay a €9 daily fee for parking. It is valet service which is handy but it would be good if this was simply included in the accom price. This wouldn’t stop me from staying here again though.

Beautiful hotel with great facilities. We stayed in standard sea view room which overlooked the pool with beach in distance. It was stunning. Private beach was great and you don’t have to cross the road to get there. Even though it was busy, there was always a sun bed to lie on and it never felt crowded. Plenty of storage in rooms. Shower was amazing. Toilet has its own door (very important as these days hotels like to keep everything open which I dislike). Hotel is not really walking distance to old town (45 mins but it’s very hot to walk) but there are always taxis to get you there in minutes for only €7.

Our experience with this hotel was exceptional. From the moment we walked into the lobby, the modern design, refreshing scent, and vibrant atmosphere set the tone for a wonderful stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted in our room with a spread of raki, nuts, and dried fruits, which was a lovely welcome. The personal attention from the staff truly stood out. They remembered my spouse’s mother’s dietary requirements, and one morning when she didn’t come to breakfast, they checked in to ensure she was all right. On the last day a personalized note was left in our room inviting us to share our thoughts on our stay. All these made us feel genuinely cared for. Valet parking was efficient and always friendly, and housekeeping was both kind and meticulous, keeping our room immaculate throughout our stay. The staff, in general, were approachable, and we had several casual conversations with them. Great people! The hotel’s location was perfect—peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of the old town, yet close enough to explore. The garden was beautifully maintained, with plenty of sunbeds by the pool and on the beach, which was ideal for relaxing. We had half-board, and the food was of excellent quality, with each meal fresh and flavorful. Evening entertainment was enjoyable, adding a nice touch to our experience. Special mention goes to the pool bar’s whiskey sour—it was absolutely sensational! The hotel’s size was just right. Big enough to offer all the amenities you’d expect from a luxury stay but not overcrowded. We also appreciated that they honored our request to have rooms close to my partner’s parents, which made everything more convenient. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of luxury, attentive service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere made this a stay to remember. Highly recommended!

This is not under the hotel's control but I think it should be mentioned: the entrance in the sea is full of rocks and quite abrupt.

The hotel is quiet and luxurious. Great staff both in the reception and in the restaurant area. The food was also great. We tried all 3 meals and it was the best restaurant in the city. The sun lounges are very comfortable both on the beach and in the pool area.

Beautiful location in quieter area of rethymno, but only 20 minute stroll (or taxi for €6) to busy port. Hotel is modern and with fabulous outdoor pools and spacious rooms. Staff were exceptional and spa area relaxing. Breakfast was great too. Would really recommend.

Bedroom was good but no drawers to organize clothing. Shower separated to the bedroom by a glass giving little privacy. The beach was quite good but to many stones and rocks.

The hotel is quite new, in a nice location with easy and direct access to the sea. The staff is extremely nice and always ready and willing to help and attend any need. The room was super clean and with a nice sea and pool view. Amazing breakfast with a large variety of food, fruits and greek delicacies. The hotel is about 30 mins nice walk along the coast to Rethymon. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.

The standard room was a bit tiny but that was not a problem. What we would suggest it to refit the wardrobe to make it more spacious by extending it using the generous space underneath currently occupied by the luggage storage.

We had an amazing stay at Nautilus Hotel. We spent a week at the beginning of August. Everything was impeccable. The staff was super attentive, kind, and always ready to help. What we really thought sets the hotel apart is the quality of its staff: polite but not intrusive, always smiling but never fake. We also very much enjoyed the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with a great selection of Greek classics complemented by international dishes. We will definitely come back!

Very nice and helpful staff, chill ambiance by the pool, tasty breakfast, good facilities, everything very clean - all in a quiet, relaxing location. We would definitely come back if we come to Crete again.

Live music in front of my balcony every evening. I like it or not. very strong light in front of my balcony in front of my eyes - this every day in time I wanted to have a sit and enjoy warm evening - between 20:00 to 23:00. Something which really spoiled my experience. If I like live music I go to such place and I choose kind of music myself :(
