The ensuite is really small and my husband hit his head on the sharp corner of a shelf above the toilet.

We were warmly welcomed and given a hand drawn map which was so easy to follow where the local attractions and recommended eateries are. Very comfortable bed - a 4 poster, and it was a very quiet location. I also liked having a little balcony with a view of the rock cliffs.

We booked the room "with Meteora view" which cost about 9 Euros more because it said "with balcony" and not "with shared terrace" and there was a recent enthusiastic review of exactly that room. I am not really sure if we got that room because there was no Meteora view and the adjacent room was on the same terrace (separated with a railing only). We didn't complain though because the owner was friendly and we were ok with the situation.

Public parking right in front of the building. Friendly and welcoming owner who gave us his map of the Meteora Monasteries including the number of steps to climb for each monastery and their opening hours. This is helpful for planning the visits because hordes of busses flood the area during tourist season.

Friendly staff - gave us recommendations on how to visit the monasteries and where to take photos, nice view to the rocks from the terrace, very close to the centre and the way to the monasteries, very clean (also they took care even for 2 nights stay), nice equipped room, enough of park spots in front or near the hotel.

We liked everything, but it would have been nice to have a couple of plates and a set of cutlery available. We wanted to buy some fruits and vegetables to enjoy the balcony and watch the sunset, but we had nothing to cut it with or eat of. Just a little suggestion as it surely is helpful for people staying more than 1 night, as we did.

Dita was very friendly and helpful with everything. She explained the routes to the monasteries, recommended walks, local restaurants, and cafes. The room had the most amazing views, was clean and comfortable. The balcony had chairs as well. Would definitely stay and recommend.

Sadly, the Guesthouse's own lovely-looking taverna on the ground floor was closed at the time of my visit.

Operated by very friendly and helpful hosts who have clearly given their accommodation some thought, these are well located, spotlessly clean, small but very functional rooms which are colourfully refurbished in a cosy traditional style. The balcony rooms have a view of the Meteora. Restaurants and other facilities are close by, there is easy access to the start of the main hiking trails and the railway station is a fairly easy 10 minute walk. Definitely a very good budget choice for a visit to this truly spectacular area.

It was totally enjoyable.

A quiet well situated guest house. Spiros, the manager, gave us helpful advice and a map he had drawn to guide us up to the Meteora Monasteries and view points. We could park our car within metres of the front door, and were able to bypass the busy town area by a direct road up to the Meteora Monasteries. The nearby Taverna choice was great, and again, Spiro advised us of a brilliant traditional taverna within easy walking distance, with wonderful food and interesting photos of the local scene last century. The service was excellent.

Carrying our suitcases upstairs might have been difficult, given our age, but Spiro did it easily and quickly. I wish the associated restaurant were open, but after 65 years they had to close it because they can’t find workers. It appears that young people are voting with their feet.

Friendly staff, comfortable room. Landlord volunteered to carry our bags up and down the circular staircase. And he drove us to the bus station early the following morning.

The accommodation was in the city center and it had a spacious car park in front which was convienent for us. Our host was super helpful with directions, local restaurants and entry hours to the monasteries. Overall a great place to spend the night.

Amazing stay at Mythos Guesthouse ! We arrived in the afternoon, had a great welcome with a very useful map and advice. The room was great, amazing view on the Meteores. Perfect decor. The beds were very confortable and the bathroom was one of the best we've had in Greece (and we've been travelling to Greece and Crete for 15 years !) The hotel was just a few hundred meters away from the town center, great restaurants and little shops (gifts as well as supermarkets). Thank you for everything, we definitely recommend !

Wifi didn't work but to be fair Kalampaka is in the middle of the mountain area so the internet connection is bad overall, not the guesthouse's or anybody's fault. Maybe just good to know in general to make a little research about the area before going there in case of bad network connections.

Really clean room, nice location, not far from anything. The host was professional and he showed us everything we need to know about meteora area from the map. Honestly nothing bad to say about the place. :)

the pillows, they were on the hard side for me, but I guess it is a matter of preference :)

The host was extremely welcoming. We arrived around 9 pm and he was waiting for us. Gave us a map and explained everything we need to know and see. The location of the hotel is great, 5 min away from everything (on foot), and the fact that there is a parking in front it made it even better. Our room had a view towards Meteora. It was very clean, and the sheets pristine white. I would go again.
