There was a rock band playing to midnight on my last evening (wednesday) and my room was directly next to it. This mean it was extremely loud in my room. I didn’t mention anything or request to change rooms, as im sure other holidaymakers were having a good time. But thought I’d give it a mention as it’s probably a good idea to perhaps put guests that will not be attending in rooms further away from the music. Otherwise, my time at the hotel was great! Thanks!

Super friendly staff. The breakfast was perfect with plenty of options. And the location was brilliant, walkable to the beach and also has guest parking.

Tap in bathroom and shower plumbing were both worn out and the shower head actually came apart from the main bar holding it to the wall. Thankfully no injuries. No towels to take to the beach.

Breakfast. Wide variety of choices. Fried eggs were a nice touch. Outside seating by the pool was nice too. Pool bar also served snacks.

In the room there was a bad smell in the shower.

The area near the pool is very nice and relaxing. Nice view by the rocks. Breakfast was good with a big variety. Employees serving the food were very kind!

The location is perfect! The pool with the mountain view is beautiful! And very friendly staff. Great location a bit away from the center but a nice walk by some small shops on the way.

The property is extremely well located. Peaceful and clean. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast is abondant and so tasty. The staff working the bar and breakfast were so kind and pleasant.

Unfortunately the people at the reception do not make you feel welcome and are rude. They do not check if you booked a room with dinner. We did not book a room with dinner only with breakfast. At checking out he never mentioned that we had to pay for dinner. On our way to a next place, he kept phoning telling us that we had to pay for 2 dinners. The only argument was that he saw us in the hotel on two nights. Finally he had to admit that he made a mistake.

Matala Bay Hotel is the best hotel in Matala. There is a beautiful garden with a large swimming pool. Efcharisto poli Yannis and Yohanina. They were very kind to us at breakfast. The location amidst the rock formations is amazing.

Lovely hotel. Was clean, spacious and only meters from Matala beach and town. Onsight parking and pool is always a bonus

Paying for wine every night was a pain rather than having a tab. Getting a drink was tough. Waiter was helpful to some people and downright rude to others. Sadly we were in the wrong group.

We were upgraded so room was very good with nice views of the hills. Easy walk into town and Matala beach. Breakfast was good and buffet dinner was reasonable. Enjoyed our day at Red Beach worth the walk. Also remains at Festos, Gortyn and the new museum there.
