Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe hotel is very out of date. We were a little taken aback when we arrived, however the beds and room was clean and we had fresh clean towels.
Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Walking distance from ferry port and beach. Really cute shared terrace upstairs.

United KingdomThe bathroom and shower could do with some updating. However, this wasn't an issue for us during our stay.
Excellent location, just a short walk to Naxos Town in one direction and Saint George's beach in the other. Nico was so friendly and such a helpful host.

AustriaSome mosquitos and bugs in the night but that’s normal in this season. Bathroom is flooded if you take a shower, just bring Flipflops
Friendly host, not far away from everything you need. Don’t expect anything fancy but for that price you get a good deal.

United KingdomAs stated above it is old style greek room to rent. Please don't expect swish new flat screen tv etc and I expect some improvement will be required soon, Think staying at your grandmothers house, everything is clean but old fashioned. Some things in the kitchen could be improved. New frying pan and some new cultery wouldn't go a miss. Great place to stay for those on a budget
An old style greek room to rent. We had a ground floor room at the rear of the property which meant we had a great small garden rather than a small balcony and the benefit of a quiet room. Great price for what you get. Had a shared kitchen which gives a chance to meet up with other residents and get a chance to pass on tips. Nickolas the owner is very helpful and accommodating

United KingdomBathroom was small and awkward to use, not a proper shower, just sort of a wet room but smaller.
Very good location, close to town and ATV rentals; lots of great restaurants in the area too. The host is very friendly and will recommend things to do in Chora. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the air con makes it worth the money in summer!

AustraliaGood location with only a short walk to the beach. Nice and quiet. Double bed was two singles pushed together which was fine. We had a small balcony. Aircon works well. There is a small shared kitchen with hot plate, toaster etc. which we found very useful. Hosts are very friendly.

Had the best stay in Maroulis Hotel, the owner is very kind friendly and available as soon as needed. we slept so well, beds were great quality, we enjoyed everything of this hotel, it was very handy to use the kitchen well enough equiped for our needs and always kept clean, the whole hotel is perfectly clean and the rooms are always kept clean and refreshed by the maid; the location couldn't be better, Just in the center but not in the touristic croud, close to shops restaurants caffes and amazing beach; everything was so cute and lovely , I recomand this place to everyone who is looking for a more than reasonnable price of a quiet and typical stay in Naxos. I will go back there for sure without hesitating. Big thanks to Nikos the owner!

GermanyThe window to the bathroom opened onto a dank shaft which was a breeding ground for mosquitoes; leaving the bathroom window open would fill the room. there were so many we found mosquito corpses in bed where we had rolled over onto them. Cockroaches would often greet us in the room when we came back at night time. When we informed the manager he shrugged and smiled, so I presume he’s aware of it. The bathroom was always damp and had black mould. The walls were dirty where people had tried to squat bugs with their shoes. The room was very cramped and didn’t accommodate 2 twin beds.
Great location about 3 mins from the beach. Internet was reliable and the terrace area was a nice place to have breakfast.

Greeceextra small with narrow balcony (you cannot sit comfortable). we did not like that the room was at street level so the pedestrians were looking directly in the room. the bathroom was so small that you had to step on the douche. it wasn’t so clean, We found some remaining of shaving foam. The beds were not comfortable. It had a bad smell due to the mould of wooden furniture. The internet wasn’t working at all. Was very expensive for all the above.
