Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArmeniaThe bathroom may need some improvements, and overall the building is a little bit outdated. But what I disliked the most was the neighborhood, which may feel a little bit unsafe, depending on the time. There are a lot of homeless people sleeping there near to the hotel. The location itself is good, near to the important spots and also metro.
Value for money was worth. The staff was very friendly and hopeful.

AustraliaThe area. Once out of the hotel there was rubbish in huge bins on the closed in corners of the narrow streets. People came to sift through the rubbish - a sad reminder of the current cost of living crisis.
It was a haven in a not so nice area.

United StatesLocation was close to center but the street is awful. Filled with trash and smelled of urine. Prostitutes and drug addicts abound. Do not turn left as you exit the hotel! Beyond horrible. Way worse than tiajuana, Mexico. Women and children sitting on sidewalk corners selling vegetables out of bags on the ground. Shady people that appear under the influence. There's some sort of restaurant up the street where I was the only woman. Just don't turn left out of the hotel and do NOT stay out after dark! Would not ever stay there again due to the location and the horrible area it's in!!!
Comfortable room with a large balcony. Older building but well maintained. Staff and breakfast were both great.

Spain1. Location is in a bad neighborhood, trash and weird people on the ground. We did not felt too safe to be honest, (although they did not bother us just watched us creepily), and we did not felt comfortable in that area. It takes around 10 minutes to walk to the closest metro stations so thats good but in that time until we got there it was not a good feeling. 2. Room. It was too hot to sleep without air condition of course, so we turned it on. But then it was too cold. Anything we tried, every setting, it was just hitting us too strong and cold, and the next day we indeed get a bit of a cold, even that every half hour we turned it off and on at night. After turning it off, the room didn’t cool off and after 5 minutes we had to turn it back on. So it was basically a sleepless night. The room itself was very basic, but we didn’t needed too many things for one night.
The receptionist was kind, and the inside of the hotel is nice. Our room was quiet, looked inside. We were staying for only a night and for that our room was okay, but we would not stay for longer if we would have the chance again I think. Luggage locker for 2€ in the hotel is available.

United KingdomAll the reviews are quite accurate when they describe the area, it is a druggies paradise. Not just the hotel's street though but the entire Omonia area. We weren't approached at any point and had no problems but you do see some sights ... Probably don't take the kids or your nan but if you want a central location for a few nights and can handle the neighbourhood then it'll be fine. Would probably be a 7/8 in a different neighbourhood.
Decent enough hotel, central location, good access to the sights, low enough price, decent breakfast.

GermanyThe location is the worst I have ever stayed in. Located in a small street. All connecting streets are full of garbage, homeless people and crumbling buildings. It’s unsafe to go at night as multiple people sell/trade and consume drugs on the street 10 meters from the hotel. The hotel is pretty old. And seem to be stuck 20 years ago. Tiny elevator. Old decor. And generally not much to expect.
The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. The bed was ok. And I guess the price was good for 2 nights.
