The pools deep end could be deeper, but that is nitpicking.

Nice views, friendly staff, nice rooms. Good pool and nice beach in use for the guests. Very good overall. Good and quiet location. The bus to the center leaves close by.

We visited at the end of the season, and some minor reparations were needed such as a fresh coat of paint, damaged marble replacement, propperly unclogged the sewage. However, this is not unusual at the end of the season. The bathroom could use some improvements such as ventilator instead off the window, which is not very efficient is some rooms.

Excellent facilities: generous beach front, amazing sea view, children’s pool, decent kitchen & bar, 300m shallow sea water -> great for kids, and great staff

It was right on the beach, and you did not need to worry about finding a beach every day. The room was spacious with a view to die for. The pool was large, and the beach was private so you could swim all you want. The food was amazing. The greek omelette and suvlaki are a must to try.

Slightly small showers and kitchen area if I was being picky but this didn’t detract from the overall experience.

The hotel’s location was spot-on, tucked away at the quiet end of Argassi but still close enough to wander over to great restaurants, bars, and a handy supermarket. It’s a fantastic spot for families, with a big pool and just a few steps down to the sea, where the gently sloping beach made it perfect for kids to play safely. With only 25 rooms, the hotel had this really peaceful vibe—no crowds, just a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The bar and restaurant were lovely, offering a great selection of food and drinks, and plenty of shade to keep cool while enjoying a meal or drink. The best part, though, was the staff. The family who runs the place were super friendly, always happy, and really attentive. They made the whole stay feel warm and welcoming.

The bathroom , like most Greek hotels is small and a bit dated.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right on the waters edge, sea view balcony, pool lovely and breakfast made to order on the pool terrace. Room was nice and large and clean. All staff were polite and friendly.

Tiny shower

Hotel met our expectations. Position right on the sea shore, easy access to the sea - just a few steps from our room, free sun beds and umbrellas, kind staff. There’s no buffet for breakfast, you need to order it from the menu each day for the next day. It’s good and varied for a 3 star hotel. Rooms are basic, but spacious with a nice balcony. You also get a beach towel, however it’s not clear what is the changing policy. They were never changed unless we asked for change.

No lift, an issue with heavy suitcases Old style pool although clean it lacked easy access steps into it Kitchen (very clean) was small, old and tired, the cupboard in the way of your head to use the sink

Half of room have a pubs with music till midnight just behind, not ideal to sleep, only one key for a familly room, when out of the room no electriciyy which mean u cannot load ur phone or laptop

The location of this property was perfect - it’s on the seafront, close to the town/ shops/ restaurants but still a peaceful and quiet place. The pool area was a massive highlight and the pool bar serves lovely food and drinks all day. There were always plenty of sun beds and the sea was also perfect for swimming - we really enjoyed borrowing the inflatable’s and floating along the shore. The rooms are basic but very clean and have everything you need. The balcony was a highlight and perfect for sea views and sunny breakfasts! We loved the Green Frog supermarket opposite the hotel and their restaurant next door has a beautiful garden and stunning Greek food. Well worth a visit!

Maria Mare is a wonderful place to stay in Argassi. The apartments are absolutely spotless along with all other areas. Wonderful staff who are very friendly and helpful. Basic apartment, but covers all needs - stunning views from rooms! Pool towels provided at start of stay. We will definitely be booking again!

Nothing to dislike

Marie Mare was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable with different pillow thicknesses so I could choose one that suited me. The location is superb, right by the sea and easy to pop over the road to the shop for bits and bobs. Very close to some good restaurants, we couldn’t have asked for more. The food onsite was delicious and served with a smile, all staff were very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back 🥰

Shower very small, but this didn’t affect our stay in anyway.

The location was perfect at the quiet end of Argassi, the grounds and the pool were beautiful and well maintained, the sea view and direct access to the beach were brilliant. Room very spacious, air con very effective, plenty of storage including safety deposit box, super comfortable bed with daily maid service to make the bed and empty the kitchen and bathroom bins. Towels also changed regularly. Pool towels also provided. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Great pool cafe bar, excellent food. Supermarket right opposite. Restaurants and bars very close but not intrusive.

What a fabulous hotel... Easy access to the sea, and more sun loungers than guests. Everywhere was spotless, Staff are all professional and helpful. Great breakfast served by two wonderful ladies in a beautiful setting. Rooms and en-suite bathrooms are as good as any 3 star hotel. Pool looks good but we just swam in the sea. Decent shop straight across the road. 5 minute walk into Argassi, with loads of restaurants and bars nearby. We loved our stay here and completely unwound. Can't wait to go back.

Dimitra, at reception, who I interacted with most, was exceptionally hospitable, friendly and helpful. She gave me lots of good advice for places to visit and how to get the most out of my time in Zakynthos. The location was excellent and the room was simple but comfortable with a beautiful view of the sea. The pool was beautiful and the area around it a lovely place to relax which included a snack-bar and all literally right next to the sea. For the money I paid, this place was exceptionally good value for a budget Apart-Hotel. Dimitra's two cats added to the charm of the place and I loved playing and hanging out with them at reception and on the sun loungers :)
