Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe WIFI from the adjoining restaurant was a little weak. The walk down to Lourda's Beach is easy, but it is a good walk back up the hill.. So be prepared its steep.
Really excellent value for money. The breakfast is a simple continental breakfast usually Greek Yogurt, Honey, Bread, Marmalade, Coffee and Juice. Ideal for us, even if the coffee and juice were weak!!!

United StatesThe first two days the Wifi ran well in my room. Thereafter it did not. I had to take my laptop across the street and sit in the restaurant to get things working. But, Marina was attentive and did try to solve the IT problems. I am told that the island has steel enforcements in the newer buildings due to earthquake potential. This makes a connection a bit of a hit and miss at times.
The hotel apartments are run by a mother and daughter team. The facilities they stocked their kitchenette with were so well thought out. I was quite impressd. The design and comfort of the room was very good. Maria and Marina are lovely hosts. Across the street is the family restaurant called Dionysos Tavern, where breakfast is served (if one has booked this). A sweet courtyard filled with happy and healthy plants. My breakfast was good and plentiful with variety as well. I lacked for nothing and would gladly return any time. Lourdata is a sweet village in the southern part of the island with a laid back, beachy vibe. Thank you Maria, thank you Marina.

United KingdomThe apartment was small but lovely & modern inside with a fabulous shower! The bed was the most comfortable we have ever stayed in anywhere else we have stayed in Kefalonia. When my husband was taken ill Marina & the staff were all amazing & when our flight home was cancelled they let us keep the room for 3 more days. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean & towels & sheets were changed regularly. The place was lovely.

GermanyThe location on booking and google maps are not accurate. We first had to find out where to get the keys (at the taverna).
Our room was newly renovated, very clean and comfortable. The room and the kitchen were well equipped. Breakfast is served at the Taverna Dionysos across the street.

United KingdomLet me think about that question. Let me think some more. Okay, I'm done thinking.
Firstly, thank you to Marina [Maria] for looking after me incredibly well! Having the need to work whilst away from the UK meant that internet was a necessity, and my initial room didn't have the best signal, but Maria was kind enough to move me immediately to another room with great wifi signal and a better view to the sea. My accommodation was simple, and functional and suited my requirements aptly. Bedding was changed every other day, and the room was kept clean. If there was anything that I needed, Maria was also available, helpful and warm. Stress can't exist in an environment like this. Local amenities were available after only a 2-3 min walk down the hill from the property, and the island is best explored by car. Buses do run but they are very infrequent. For instance, the bus to Poros from Lourdata leaves in the morning and returns in the afternoon. That's it. One run per/day. Hire a car from Easy Rent (About 10-15mins walk uphill from the property and ask for Tassos). A kind and humorous man who offered me a car for 27euro/day. It is rare to drive for more than 1hr to any destination and although the terrain is hilly, and clutch control is a requirement, the views are outstanding! I wouldn't advise a moped. After all, you're on vacation and you're new to the roads, and you're only on two wheels with your body as your crumple zone. Get a car. Breakfast was a combination of fresh fruits, such as figs, nectarines, and apples amongst others, served with your preference of tea/coffee, along with a plate of ham and cheese. Water, of course, was always served. For dessert, I was spoilt to a pancake with chocolate filling. Dinner in Dionysus restaurant was a selection of home-cooked traditional Greek food which I enjoyed immensely. The fresh vegetables made salads a real treat. Tomatoes, and cucumbers actually had a taste and smell! If you live in the UK, you'll know exactly what I mean by that.

United KingdomWe had an issue with the air con not working great the first night, but this was addressed promptly and Marina swapped us to another room to allow them to repair the unit.
Breakfast was lovely and it was a lovely way to start the day. Marina and her team couldn't do enough for us. She remembered I didn't eat meat and adapted options, accordingly. The portions were very generous. In general, Marina was so kind and helped us to hire a care when all other companies were fully booked. She booked us a taxi for our arrival and everything about her and her family made us felt looked after.

United KingdomThe room was very small especially the bathroom which was extremely compact! The bed was very uncomfortable. The location of the property although convenient to walk to tavernas was particularly noisy in the late evening with motorbikes which could possibly of been staff leaving off work, however it sounded a bit like a racetrack for quite some time and woke us up most nights. The breakfast was very basic although you could upgrade and pay extra if required.
The property was kept clean and bins emptied every day.
