Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe pool facilities could be better, however, that is to be expected from a hotel in this location. There is also the beach and a pool club are very short distance away which are idea.
The location is perfect and the staff were very pleasant.

UkraineThe place is in a quite busy place. The spa was not nicely organized. Was frustrated. You could work better on that.
The place is lovely. Make you feel at home. Comfortable, beautiful, spacious. Light colours, elegant decor... I didn't want to leave the place! Breakfast - tasty, and huge portions at dinner - not a good idea if you are on a diet - mind it! I loved spending time in a hall doing my work, friendly environment. Thanks a lot to the breakfast and dinner staff. Loved to interact with them!

WOW! The service is impeccable. We stayed in room 402, top floor-centre with sea view. The room was nice, spacious and clean. Our check in and welcome by Dimitriana a fantastic start with a glass of Prosecco. She brought us to our room and made us feel incredibly welcome. All the staff were fantastic and this is testament to the management of George who is also a great character to speak with. He is very proud of the hotel and service. In particular was Irene who serves the beach at the front of the hotel. She took good care of us and our family every day and brought tons of personality & humour. It’s a great location but remember, it’s Greece and if you are near the strip then expect some pub noise and music into the small hours. Breakfast was great with lots of choices and went on late. Plenty of choice in the restaurant too with good pricing. The vegan moussaka is a good choice. We also had a back massage in the spa and really good value to get you relaxed and into the holiday relaxation mood. In summary, great location and value but the star is the incredible service by the team there.

Vasia Boulevard was an exceptional choice to revisit this part of Crete after 15 years. We were received in the most beautiful way possible with a glass of prosecco and with very good news from the hotel manager that he upgraded our room. We received a room with a sea view at the 4th floor with a stunning view. Seeing the sunrise and sunset from the room's terrace was amazing. The room was very well sized for the needs of 2 people, immaculately clean. Our stay at Vasia Boulevard started with a bottle of prosecco and a fruit platter and ended with chocolate candies and a lovely message from the housekeeper. Much appreciated gestures that made us feel welcome. Breakfast was exactly what was needed to start the day and dinner was a la carte with a good choice of plates. Hersonissos is a vibrant city with many young tourists and the location of the hotel gives you the opportunity to feel this. Many thanks to the hotel manager and the staff who helped us spend a beautiful vacation in Crete. We will definitely come back.

ItalyThe location on a crowded street with shops around did not seem ideal to us; anyway, we did not intend it for a beach holiday, but from there we went to see the archeological sites around (Gournia; Malia; Cnossos). There is a private beach across the street, but we never went there. For a boutique hotel the choice at breakfast is small, once the milk I had with my oatmeal was sour. If you come by car, you will have to find a parking spot ... wherever, as there are no parking facilities in the hotel. So you might have to walk 5-10' after parking your car.
The hotel is situated in some sub-urban conglomerate. It is surrounded by a lot of low-level shops, tavernas and so on. We had the impression from the pics that it was kind of "stand-alone" on the beach which is not the case - maybe our mistake. The hotel itself has an excellent standard: wide entrance, everything new, tasteful lobby, and very welcoming staff, we were greeted immediately with a prosecco. The hotel manager and the ladies at the reception are super-friendly and helpful. We got an upgrade for free with an ocean view room, that was really beautiful, and that's the reason we're giving it a "9" because otherwise it would have been an "8". Our room was neither big nor small, and very clean. Breakfast is a buffet (near the pool), you get freshly squeezed orange juice served at the table, and you can order from among a choice of omelettes for free. The pool is very small indeed, and situated in the courtyard. Personally we did not like it. - The hotel's restaurant is across the street, in a beautiful position above the beach. Dishes are quite good, but not much choice. We ate there twice during a four-days stay.

South AfricaThere was nothing we did not like as everything was exactly how we expected it.
We came to Crete for our Honeymoon, firstly I would like to thank George and his team as he went out of his way to make our stay beyond special from upgrading our room to greeting us every single morning. One of the main reasons we will go back to this beautiful hotel is because of George's Hospitality and kindness. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. The location was excellent because as you walked out of the hotel you were a few steps away from the beach and main strips of restaurants and bars. Thank you for making our stay so special we cant wait to stay again at your hotel soon.

AustriaThe rooms unfortunately aren't exactly "5-star". They're clean but small and sparsely filled with cheap furniture and the fake plastic "wood" floor is really naff. It felt as if it was a 3-star hotel and the lobby and spa had been upgraded to 5 stars but the rooms had stayed at 3, at least that was my experience. Everything else was awesome.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are extremely friendly and helpful, every one of them. The beach view from my room was gorgeous. The lobby is beautiful, the spa down below is really nice, the beach is also really nice. Upon check-in I was told they had "upgraded" me to a "better" room but it was next to a bank of noisy air conditioner units and the balcony was right in the path of smoke from nearby restaurant kitchens. The manager, George, changed my room immediately no questions asked. 5-star service.

IsraelThe only downside is that there is some noise at night because it is close to the entertainment area on the promenade (it was an advantage for us since we enjoyed the nightlife:-) Everything else is perfect.
Highly recommended and indulgent!!! There are no words to describe the amazing, warm, and kind hospitality we received at the hotel. George, the hotel manager, with his big smile and positive energy, never stopped caring for every little detail with love, making all the guests enjoy their stay and walk around with a smile. He made our vacation perfect. The service is exceptional, the entire staff is friendly and exceptionally courteous. They consider the guests and their needs, and they are always happy to help. We celebrated a birthday, and they kept pampering us with a platter of fruits, champagne, chocolates ext. The hotel has an excellent location, right by the sea and close to everything in the center. The sea view from the hotel is amazing and picturesque. The rooms are new, well-designed, clean, and tidy. The hotel is for adults only, so the atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The breakfast is rich and diverse.

HungaryThere are 8 sunbeds at the hotel's own pool. The sunbeds on the beach are also paid for by hotel guests (6 euro/person/day). This is not written anywhere. The cleaning lady only placed shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom on special request several times.
The accommodation is located in the central. The beach promenade is a few meters away. Everything in the city is within walking distance. The a la carte dinner is of high quality, the waiters were especially kind.

United KingdomNot much, a ramp for wheelchair/ mobility aid at the entrance to the foyer. An accessible way to get to the beach.
Excellent. George and Voula were fantastic and all the staff were polite, helpful and treated my elderly parents with dignity and respect. It's not the most accessible place for people with mobility issues but staff were very helpful to allow my parents to feel safe and secure. The food was really good and the ocean view rooms on the top floor were amazing!

United KingdomOn the Saturday night it was a little loud but it was the FA cup final and local derby as well so that is understandable. It was a trade off we were prepared to make for such a fabulous location and the glazing and air conditioning subdued the worst of the noise.
It was beautifully fitted out, very clean and in a good location. We went half board and the food and associated service was exceptional. There was a wide choice and the seaside restaurant was really lovely. I also thought the court yard area with pool at the rear was stylish and perfect for an alfresco breakfast. George and all of the team were marvellous from the minute we arrived. I can genuinely say it was the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. The from our balcony was gorgeous.
