Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandNothing worth mentioning
Great facilities just in front of the sea and within a vast olive field. The in-house restaurant and the courtesy of the owners elevate a guest’s experience to the highest level of satisfaction.

Everything was perfect during our stay. The location is idyllic and provides access to a very quiet and almost private beach. The whole setting is very relaxing and the only sounds that can be heard are those of the sea and the cicadas. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The owners also run a restaurant on site with delicious home-made food.

We stayed at Makis Inn in June and had a wonderful time. It's not luxurious, but it's comfortable, clean and peaceful. It is a great place to relax and unwind. The villas are comfortable and clean, and the views of the olive groves and the beach are stunning. We enjoyed spending our days swimming, sunbathing, and exploring the nearby islands such as Hydra, Spetses and Poros. Breakfast options are a bit limited, but there's something for everyone, prepared in the house. We didn't have dinner, but we learned it's the best fish restaurant in the area. The family that runs Makis Inn is extremely welcoming and helpful. They made us feel like part of the family. We would highly recommend Makis Inn to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation.

HungaryWe loved the tranquility of the place, the sea at the foot of our balcony, the birds singing in the morning among the pine, olive and pomegranate trees. The place is kept very clean and tidy and the owners went out of their way to spoil us with freshly harvested pomegranates and home made olive oil, partly to compensate us for the fact that the restaurant was no longer open. We would love to have stayed longer in this small paradise on earth. Ermioni, a magnificiently located little harbour village has all shops and amenities one may need and a beautiful park in the end of a peninsula with pebble beaches. Each night we ate fresh seafood in a different, pretty restaurant - there are at least 6 great ones.

Pretty much everything. The sea is lovely (once you make it past the stones), the owners, too. Breakfast is excellent as well as the dinner menu. The apartments are exactly the right size for a family.

IsraelBreakfast was basic - not enough vegetables. No Laundry services.
Great staff! Greek style - welcoming and warm. The rooms are 50 steps from the beach - very comfortable. The kids had a wonderful time as well as the adults. The hotel is very close to Metochi - where you can hop on a ferry to Hydra Island. Ermioni is 10 minutes drive and Porto Heli is 25 minutes drive. Breakfast was traditional and the restaurant served great fish for dinner (dinner at an extra charge). Great A/C to hide away from the Greek summer.

United StatesThere's not much to say as in general we enjoyed our stay there. The only thing that was not the hotel's fault, was that the beach is a bit prone to winds, so the first couple of days the sea had some waves. My kids loved playing with them and in general it felt safe swimming in there (no currents) but I thought I'd mention it for those who are looking for calm shallow waters regardless of weather conditions.
We had a wonderful stay at Makis Inn resort. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The location is beautiful, surrounded by olive trees and pine trees, which also offer wonderful shade to the beach and the sound of summer - cicadas. The buffet during breakfast was yummy with lots of homemade treats, different every morning. The rooms were very spacious, clean, with beautiful sea views. We appreciated there was A/C and bug nets in the rooms and they had equipped it with other amenities too, including bug repellent. The beach under the hotel is representative of what the broader area has to offer (nothing too special but very decent), but it was very conveniently located, with sunbeds available for the guests. We usually went to another beach in the morning and spent there our afternoons. Kids could safely walk back and forth from the hotel room on their own while we enjoyed the sun. If you visit, make sure to drink their pomegranate juice, fresh from their trees - such a refreshing option! Overall, we really enjoyed spending time there during all times of the day.

Superb value - wonderful location among olive groves beside the sea. So quiet, just the rustling of the trees and the waves lapping on the shore. Charming hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect stay and for the economical price it really deserves its high rating on Booking. Appreciated how comfortable the beds are, good blankets, even a robe and slippers. Everything sparkling clean. Lovely cosy apartments and restaurant right on the sea. Real working farm making delicious olive oil, among other things. Great base for Hydra, also just a really relaxing quiet place to stay. Thank you Yiannis for your hospitality and kindness, such a lovely memory from our travels in a wonderful part of Greece. Hoping to return again!

We loved the place! The room is big, Bedroom and a lounge room. Close to the beach. The bed was comfortable, we got dressing gowns and slippers. The towles smelled very good. Yanis the owner was so nice. The breakfast was really good- a nice buffet, eggs on your request, with some home-made jam and biscuits. When we left Yanis gave us olive oil made from his olives. The weather wasn't warm enough for swimming.. I think a family can really enjoy a few days there.

AlbaniaFor 200 Euros per night breakfast could have been better with more variety of selection. It was the same every day. Also the property is 45 minutes drive from the town/port so make sure you bring everything you need as there are not many things in the area other than gas station and basic super market.
The location is very remote if you are coming from afar. The beaches in the area are not impressive. The resort is located in a village It is about half an hour to 40 min from Port Cheli main tourist city in the area and at least 45 minutes from any of the best beaches in Porto Cheli area. The property itself has a beachfront but the sea is not always clean and there are waves in the afternoon. The staff is nice and welcoming, with decent restaurant for lunch and dinner. The rooms are clean and spacious even for a family of 5. Wi fi is good. However for guests who are looking for more than just access to a beachfront the village does not have much to offer. If you would like to experience something more you can go to Porto Cheli or one of the neighbouring islands like Hydra or Spetses.
