Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe facilities with great and simple Greek style design. The amazing views from the terrace, from every window you open and especially from the roof. The amazing roof equipped with everything you need to relax, including a gorgeous small pool. But on top of all of that, amazing owners who did everything that they could to make our stay perfect. Panagiotis was more than the hotel owner he became a friend, helping us with everything we needed. He has amazing knowledge about history and a great partner for a good conversation. The location in the middle of one of the most beautiful villages in Tinos is a bonus as well. And last, Perivoli = a culinary jewl in the heart of kardiani 2 minute walk from the hotel that can easily be named the best tavern in Tinos and one of the best in Greece

GermanyGreat rooms in a fantastic location - would strongly recommend staying in Kardiani, enjoying the view and walking through its streets. The room was really cozy and receiving the homemade breakfast in a box every morning, a real treat! Staff was really friendly, would visit again.

United Kingdomnothing - only wished we could have stayed longer
Living Theros -and the village of Kardiani - is stunning. We had a lovely couple of nights there in a beautiful room overlooking the mountain and down to the sea. It was such a pleasure staying there and exploring the traditional cycladic village clinging onto the side of the hill. We were looked after very well and the breakfast was delicious - delivered to our door each morning. Highly recommended

United KingdomGreat location for exploring the island, and the steps around the village certainly kept us fit during our stay. The outdoor space with views over the bay and the sound of the sheep below was so peaceful! Breakfast was wonderful, something different each day, and the delicious Greek yogurt and cakes were a highlight. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and they gave us all the recommendations of thing to do and places to eat. All in all, it was a peaceful and wonderful stay and we would love to come back one day.

Greece1. It is recommended that the water be heated in the Jaguzzi for the cold autumn days and beyond 2. Underground the twisted cables of the PPC because they are a bit disturbing to see. Observation from a demanding customer who pays attention to the smallest detail.
1. The amazing view 2. The fusion of traditional and contemporary architecture 3. The interior decoration is amazing, with several decorative elements of light cement mortar.. which I love 4. Full use of indoor and outdoor spaces 5. The Jaguzzi on the veranda 6. Breakfast is served at the doatio. Unlikely 7. The courteous behavior and oversupply of the staff

BelgiumAvoid if you don’t have a private means of transportation. With the exception of a (very good) restaurant there absolutely no services in the village, most importantly no supermarket/grocery store. Closest supermarket is 12km away. Parking can also be an issue during high season.

United StatesWe had an absolutely perfect stay! The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The outdoor space was wonderful with lots of lounging options, great private pool, and an absolutely incredible view over the sea. All staff members were kind and helpful, and Panagiotis kindly made himself available on WhatsApp and was happy to help us with any questions etc. during our stay. Plus, he sent a great list of his personal recommendations around the island for eating, drinking, and sightseeing. We went to a lot of the recommended places and they were all great! The small village of Kardiani was cute and relaxing, but it still had incredible restaurants, including one right near Living Theros where we had many great meals during our dry. Kardiani is also a great central location for exploring Tinos and you can access pretty much any part of the island in less than 30 minutes by car. We didn’t have any problem with parking and the short walk from the public lot to the hotel is not bad at all (the main part of the village is pedestrian only). Highly recommend Living Theros and Tinos island! If you are questioning whether to visit, just do it! And stay at Living Theros :)

United StatesThe village of Kardiani was out of the way, about 12 miles from the town of Tinos. It appeared that there was bus service from my research, but when we arrived, we discovered that the bus stop was blocked by parked cars. It appeared that the beach was close by and walkable, but actually there were no sidewalks. Taxis are expensive. For me, that I feel uncomfortable renting a car, ATV, or motorcycle, this was a problem. Also, when booking about six weeks ahead, the nightly rate was high and nonrefundable. (Now the price is quite reasonable for the same room.) I would say, caveat emptor, but if you are willing to rent a car, stay there!
There was so much to LOVE about our stay at Living Theros. The hotel was our sixth place in our bucket list adventure and their accommodations were stunning. Opulent (yet somehow casual) touches throughout: marble stairs and flooring, crochet lamps that cast a soft, warm glow, cave bathroom. Comfortable nooks were appropriately designed. Views of the water and ambient nature sounds (goats, cicadas, birds) struck a peaceful vibe. It was a serene and unforgettable experience of elegance and relaxation. The delightful breakfast spread was carefully crafted with the finest local and fresh ingredients. We loved walking around this gorgeous village set into the mountains of Kardiani and enjoyed talking with residents and we took many photographs. Panagiotis and Vassilis were excellent hosts. With good health, we hope to return.

United KingdomMy only negative would be that the room was quite cozy - there wasn’t really anywhere to put suitcases if you wanted to unpack. But the roof terrace was such a delight, and the room had everything you could need (including a huge bed), so it didn’t really detract from the experience.
Beautiful location in a quiet village, with 2 lovely restaurants to wander to in the evening. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a true highlight.

United StatesParking was terrible. Lots of stairs to get to hotel. Our room the view was only enjoyed from the terrace. You could see the ocean from every window...but only if you stood in front of the window. You couldn't enjoy the view while laying in bed.
Breakfast was delivered every morning at a pre arranged time. Dimitris had amazing communication through out our stay. He provided delicious dining suggestions. Also, gifted us with tickets to a local museum! You will need a car to get around the island. I loved that the hotel was in an authentic Greek village. Locals spoke to us everyday and made us feel welcome. The bathroom was a cool experience (felt like we were showering in a cave). Bed was very comfortable. Wi-fi worked great! Room was clean, I enjoyed the fresh plants! I would highly recommend. You could walk to a good restaurant that had spectacular views of the sunset.

Tastefully appointed room, jaw-dropping view across the sea to Syros, and traditional village setting. Our 'Deluxe suite' was a great size for a couple for a weekend, practically set out and complete with amenities. Breakfast brought to your room at a pre-agreed time of your choice.

ThailandIt was our second stay at this hotel and chose another room. We loved the terrasse with a stunning view, where we took our breakfast and spend some time late afternoon when the sun is not too strong. The room is small but very cosy and well decorated. We appreciated all the products they use from breakfast to the Apivita cosmetics ones for bathroom.

FranceFor people like us who didn’t think a car was needed (it’s wrong), maybe organize shuttles to town or the beach nearby. Though, they were helpful calling a taxi.
Panagiotis was incredible. His team too! The room was clean, super nice! The view from the terrace, the furniture, the equipment… Everything is beautiful. They were really helpful, specially with our luggage and their recommandations. The village is beautiful, a bit isolated, you will need a car (don’t do like us). The view on Syros is absolutely amazing, go have lunch at Perivoli. They’re fantastic too! We will definitely be back! Pauline & her mum Cathy
