Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing this hotel exceeded our expectations, I guess the only draw back was we only stayed for 2 nights. We will defiantly be staying longer next time.
The room was spacious with an extremely comfortable king size bed. The multi jet shower was amazing, it could do with a touch more pressure but still really nice. The breakfast was really nice and plentiful and we were provided with something different everyday we were asked if we prefer tea or coffee we had coffee but had too ask for milk (so if you prefer milk in your coffee request this when asked by reception about your breakfast). Breakfast was brought up to our room every morning which was a really nice touch we were able to have our breakfast on the balcony which was really nice as we had a partial sea view. The area is currently being developed so there are some road works going on outside the hotel but the rooms are soundproof when the windows and balcony door are closed. Another touch is the window and balcony door have net shutters on so if you prefer to sleep with the door or window open in stead of the A/C you don't have to worry about mosquitos as they can't get in, which is another great touch. This hotel is also 100% green from its heating being supplied directly from the earth to its water supply. The hotel is situated on a hill which is set back from the city center and harbor, it is only a 5 minute walk/stroll with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Not to mention the historical buildings which have signs in different languages including braille. This hotel reminds me of a luxury apartment/studio flat which wouldn't be out of place in London. We will defiantly be back to stay next time we are in Crete.

CanadaNot an issue for us but the hotel is on a small uphill walk. There was construction going on outside on the street but that’s not the fault of the hotel. However the rooms at the hotel have very good soundproofing and the noise from the construction was not a bother at all ( just created some dust)
Everything…this hotel is fairly new. The manager Artemis is exceptional. The head maid and the night manager also. Rooms are very modern. Internet works very well. Good shower. All inquiries answered Overall = Excellent experience

CyprusThe service was top-notch from the moment I arrived — the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The room was modern, spacious, and beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to ensure maximum comfort. The location is perfect, offering easy access to both the beach and the city center, while still providing a peaceful atmosphere. Plus, having convenient parking was a huge bonus, making it hassle-free to explore the surrounding area.

BulgariaThere's some roadwork construction in the area in front of the hotel, which can get a bit problematic during the day, but that's not related to the property, so not their fault at all. Just be mindful, though.
We spent a week here and couldn't be more satisfied! The rooms are clean, spacious, well-equipped, and easily accessible (really important for guests with physical difficulties). Just one advice, bring a hair dryer with yourself, but that was barely noticeable. The staff was simply lovely and always ready to help whenever needed. If you need something for the room or have general questions about nearby places that you want to explore, they will be more than willing to give you advice! Breakfast, while not included in the original price, can be ordered day-for day, and it's a lot of food, we were never able to finish it in a single day. All in all, we will definitely stay here next year if we decide to be in Rethymno. We already miss you! With regards Dimitar :)

United KingdomBrand new city apartments 15 min walk from the city centre. Easily accessible and parking available in the area. The breakfast is really nice 7.5 euros per person and they can bring it in your room. Very good value for money. There is also a cafe in the reception. Lovely staff happy to always help. Spacious room. I loved the system that opens the door and you don’t need a key or card.

United KingdomThe shower was superb, a mini wet room. If the shower was on full, it would have flooded the bathroom. It was very slippy so a non slip surface would help. We had to use the bath mat and hang it out when we had finished. There was a hob, but not sufficient utensils, no condiments etc and no pans. Maybe you had to ask. The safe did not work and was just in the wardrobe not secured or anything. The staff were so very friendly and we loved them. Artemis spoke excellent English but the young man on reception did not and it was difficult at times. But he was amazingly friendly too. Both are a credit to the hotel. The reception is not 24 hours so ordering a taxi in the evening etc was not possible. There was a lot of building work on the roads and new flats almost opposite and the noise was horrendous They started at 7,30 am, 7 days a week, which meant you couldn't sit on the balcony but that is not the hotel's fault. It didn't spoil our holiday though and wouldn't put us off staying there again! The hotel location is not so good, up a long, very dusty hill and definitely not for anyone with walking difficulties. I get the impression the hotel would rather be used for business meetings/accommodation eventually in the future.
The breakfast was served in little crates into your room. We wasted a lot. Not because it wasn't good but it was too much for us. A 'tick list' the day before would save the hotel so much money! There was Greek yogurt (superb), local delicacies, hard boiled eggs, fresh bread, honey and marmalade, coffee or tea, cheese and chicken slices and it varied every day. If you could take it out for lunch on the beach then it would be ideal, but we didn't want to do that and it was very hot so not recommended. The bed was comfy and pillows excellent. The sofa bed was comfortable too but if you had wanted to use the living/kitchen area it would have been awkward to make it up every day. You could also have new towels every day if you wanted.

SerbiaBreakfast
The hotel is very nice, the rooms are comfortable, clean, tidy and very nicely decorated. As for the reception, wonderful people work there. They are always there for any help, all praise for them. We have a complaint about the breakfast that is delivered to the rooms in boxes, the disadvantage is that we do not have the opportunity to choose what we will eat. We would have liked more if the breakfast was based on a buffet. Also, another inconvenience that happened was that we forgot the t-shirt hanging in the closet the day we left the hotel and we came back to get it an hour later, but it was gone. We think the cleaning lady took it, it's not a matter of the shirt, but it spoils the reputation of the hotel a little. In any case, the overall impression is good, except for these two things that we mentioned above. All the best in your future work 😊

United StatesThere is a building and road construction nearby so the area is a bit dusty other than that nothing to worry about. If you are planning to make more than toasts the kitchenette is not up to the task.
The apartment building is new and modern in design. Keyless entry makes it very easy to access. There is an open air common dining area on the ground floor with nice sittings. Breakfast, coffee or snacks can be purchased in the mornings. The bath room is pretty unique, with a nice shower. Spacious living room with a large balcony. Bed room is cozy and comfortable. The location is about 10 min walk from the water front and old town. Staff is super nice and friendly. Although there is no designated parking, there are plenty of parking spaces on the streets around the building.

GreeceHard to find any faults. We did have problem with finding the location and got lost in the one way system. Did manage to find parking near the hotel, but potentially could be a problem finding one close by.
Incredibly friendly, helpful staff, and each room was spotlessly clean and had nice touches to make our stay comfortable. In a nice quiet residential location and a reach by foot to the picturesque old town. Appreciate the water in the fridge and coffee maker in the room.

It was perfectly comfortable, the bed was great, firm but not hard. They were very attentive, the staff was lovely. The shower was great, it was a lovely modern apartment. Also the fact that we always found a parking spot was a major plus, not much available in Rethymno
