Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelEverything was great. Wi fi is lost sometimes, but it is really nothing
We recently stayed at this hotel and had an exceptional experience. The location is fantastic, situated right on the seashore, offering breathtaking views and easy access to the beach. Whether you're looking to relax or explore the coastal area, the location is perfect for both. The staff made the stay even better. They were incredibly helpful and always polite, making sure that all our needs were met. From check-in to check-out, their attentiveness and warm hospitality stood out. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its prime location and top-notch service. It’s a great choice for a relaxing getaway by the sea.

IsraelHighly recommended. We were a couple with a girl. We enjoyed every moment. Big and clean rooms, the staff is very nice. There is a smal pool and a private beach below the rooms, with saps and windsurfers for guests.

IsraelHotel could use an upgrade. Pool and design are a little outdated. WiFi is unstable - during our visit we didn’t have WiFi connectivity for nearly a full day. Too pricey for a 3 star hotel, in my opinion.
Excellent location, beautiful private beach. Hotel restaurant is great, food is delicious. Rooms are clean. We had a comfortable room with amazing sea view.

United KingdomThe bed was a little harder than I liked and the pillows lumpy. The road could be a little bit noisy at times.
We loved the beach front location and the swimming pool. The free use of the paddleboards was especially great as the sea was beautifully clean and clear. All areas were kept clean and tidy and the staff were are very friendly and helpful. There was a shop and bakery within walking distance and it was easy to get the bus/taxi to Xylokastro.

SpainI spotted a few times people seemingly not belonging to the hotel staying on premises and using facilities (swimming pool, beach sun beds). This led to the situation when there were not enough sun beds one day during our stay.
Lido Hotel is a cozy first line hotel with a direct access to the beach. The water is excellent: clear & turquoise, we were lucky to watch some amazing sunsets and sunrises. The hotel has a restaurant, you can buy some nice souvenirs (olive oil & local wine), you can also use sups for free. Hotel manages Lido Blue Boat rental, we had a great experience renting a non license boat for a day.

IsraelOur room was old and not renovated and the rest of the group did receive a renovated room, the difference between the rooms is significant. Our air conditioner had a bit of a dusty smell, the hot water did not work on the first day (the staff fixed it very shortly though), and the room wasn't been cleaned on the second day.
The location is amazing, the atmosphere in the hotel is great, and the staff was extremely helpful and helped us with everything we needed. The food and drinks were very good! Coffee is served at the pool for free during the day, the beach next to the hotel is amazing, and the hotel also provides SAP for free usage. The pool is very fun and the hotel also provides free parking.

GreeceThe rocks at the beach were painful and hard to bring kids into. (Obviously not the hotels fault just something to keep in mind). The parking was unfortunately very limited when busy.
The restaurant, pool and ocean were really nice. It had a very cosy family oriented vibe. I loved how clean the rooms were and how accommodating the owner and staff were.

United StatesThey have limited parking spaces so that was a challenge but we never didn't have a place to park, it was just interesting a couple of times.
Beautiful family owned restort in the area where the locals go to relax! Very affordable, amazing food and service! Room was clean and simple, very comfortable. Cannot say enough about the food and service, they were very friendly, quick to help with anything, and very professional. They offer boat tours through the hotel, amazing value for the price and they even altared their normal itinerary to help us get to a site we wanted to see.

NorwayThis is a hidden paradise. The family running this hotel are the most humble and beautiful people. It's one of those places hard to find in the world and will for sure be a place I will keep coming back to visit. Everything is so well done. I can tell it's put a lot of heart into building this place. So much soul and beautiful energy. It is a very safe and quiet place, perfect for relaxation. The beds are new and super comfy. The food in the restaurant is very high quality, and mostly fresh seafood 😋 👌🏽
