One thing to keep in mind is the cleanliness of fellow guests, which is sometimes out of your control in a shared space. Also, while the location is very convenient, being on a main road means it's not as quiet as I initially expected. There’s a bit of noise from cars, motorcycles, and buses, but it’s not a huge issue if you don’t mind some background city sounds.

I had a wonderful stay at Kumba! The hostel offers everything you need, though as with any shared space, not everyone may be as tidy or clean as you'd hope. That said, the location is fantastic—just a 10-15 minute walk from the main bus station, and the airport bus stops only five blocks away, which is super convenient. The staff were all incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even better. If you're into hostels, I definitely recommend staying here! They also offer private rooms, which adds an extra level of comfort if you prefer your own space to sleep while still enjoying the shared kitchen and lounge areas. Thanks to everyone at Kumba for a great stay!

You couldn’t lock the door to your room which seemed odd at first but they told me that someone from the staff is always around.

Beautiful building, nice sleeping booth with a cover in front for privacy. We also had a AC in the room, private bathroom and a locker and the room itself was very spacious ( I stayed in the 4 bedroom female only)

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the receptionist was very helpful answering all of our questions. We were able to store our stuff on site until the room was ready which was super helpful!

They only gave us a bed sheet not another bed sheet to cover yourself with - I didn’t care but could be an issue for some. The pillow with rock solid none of us were able to use it & I slept on my neck pillow the mattress is also really hard. You can still peak through the sides of the curtains which sucks. Also if you close your curtain at night the airflow sucks and it becomes like a sauna so I kept it a bit open all the time.

It was really nice, modern & well laid out. The rooms had A/C, curtains, and a bright light with an outlet right beside. Huge storage under the bed with a lock that was provided, bathrooms & dorm rooms were cleaned daily & were spotless. Shower pressure could be weak if multiple people were using and huge space. Individual toilets were nice as well with an additional private in the hallway then 2 downstairs. Fridges were huge & provided pens/stickies to name our food. Common area was beautiful, spacious and inviting. You can leave your laundry / wet clothes to hang outside as well. They have a mini cafe situation as well that we liked. Big grocery store 5 min down, really good restaurants as well, bus station right in front of the hostel as well which was nice. Overall our favourite hostel! Just some minor stuff below that could bother people but other than that we enjoyed.

Loud, unprofessional, abrupt, and unfriendly staff member (blond). The others were fine. No towel was provided. Location was decent but to get into Old Town where much of the activity was requires a 20 minute walk. It was safe to walk though even late at night.

Nicely decorated with numerous indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. Cleaning staff does a thorough job. Grocery store and restaurants nearby. Bus stop right outside front door. Dorms were private and a lockable storage box was provided. Airport bus stop (Attikon Cinema) is only a 5 minute walk away.

The uncertainty of which kind of people occupy the dorm at the time of stay. It can be as unpleasant as not be able to breathe a dirty and bad air, all the way to having a rough night due to noise some guests are making around the clock. All this has nothing to do with the quality of hostel and its staff.

The location is in fair proximity to the old town, and to the see. The prices are moderate. Ladies who run the place are bright spirited, helpful, relaxed and friendly. Facilities are clean and well organized. There is enough privacy, in spite of the dorm structured rooms - each bed is placed in an isolated cell, with covered entrance.

Because it is a hostel, there is a lot of variety in who comes. Most guests were considerate and lovely but there were a few that were absolutely not, and it was all par for the course.

I loved that I got my own cubby with a curtain, that the shared dorm had its own bathroom, and that there was a functioning kitchen to cook in.
