Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The apartment is extremely well situated within the city centre, so that all visits can be done on foot. The area is very quiet. The apartment is very comfortable and has a range of amenities of high quality. The most impressive was the bathroom which was really well fitted. The apartment in general was well designed and very clean. A pleasure to relax in.

United StatesThe upstairs apartments spilled/dumped something off the balcony that smelled distinctly horrible one evening. Not the fault of this apartment at all.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable for my family. The small patio off the back was a welcome surprise and offered a quiet space to enjoy the outdoors. The AC worked like a charm and the furnishings made for a cool, comfortable place to stay in Heraklion. The location is great as well - it's easy to walk to most of the locations tourists are interested in. Communications with the owner were fast and thorough - much appreciated!

United StatesSpacious apartment with separate living room area from bed (short hallway instead of door separating). One of us could wake up early and read or take shower without disturbing the other. In the middle of Heraklion, easy walking to where we wanted to go. Supermarket within 100m of apartment. We had stayed in another apartment in same building five days earlier and liked location and apartment so much we were happy to stay there again when we returned.

United KingdomThe walls are incredibly thin and we were woken a few times through the night by other people in the same block coming in at 2/3 am It's almost underground so no windows. The Aircon is over the bed which is annoying There's loads of flashing lights in the apartment and air fresheners that made it difficult to sleep
