Clean, good for the price with friendly people

This is our second stay here, and we will come back for sure. The location is beautiful, very clean, quiet and safe. The covered parking inside the courtyard was a bonus. The individual house equipped with everything was absolutely great (including coffee and cold water). Also the host is extremely nice and helpful. And you have a few great options for food or outdoor activities.

We went there for the weekend to go fishing in Kerkini Lake. Our stay was great, the houses have everything you would need, are very nice and very clean. We will definitely come and visit again on our next fishing trip. The host Adonis was also very helpful in providing information about the lake, the fishing spots, the laws around the lake etc.

By the time you reached the accommodation, it felt immediately like home—a clean and cosy apartment with all the amenities you'll need. They also provided us with a travel cot for our 6-month-old, complete with its duvet, sheets, and pillow. They even provide bikes if you want to explore the beautiful surrounding area, which we did and really enjoyed.

We had an appartment and it was like home. Very clean. In the kitchen / living you have everything you need to prepare food, to eat and to rest. Antonis - the owner - was very friendly and gave a lot of useful hints for photographying birds and landscapes around, which is why we actually came to Kerkini Lake. It was a perfect stay.

- the iron bed frames a little bit noisy during sleep

- the surroundings, very different from the rest of the Greece (everything is green arround) - very nice host, as always - quiet place, perfect to relax after a driving day

It is not our first stay at Kerkini Houses, but this time we came with friends and they enjoyed it just as much as we did! Our host was amazing - very kind and very responsive. When we found out that we need one more bed for a child in one of the houses, she immediately arranged this. She also arranged a boat trip on the lake for us, which was the highlight of our stay in Kerkini - the kids were really impressed by the pelicans we saw from so close! One should really stay longer to be able to make the most of the visit - have more time to relax on the balcony, ride a bike, walk around the lake. All is easily accessible on foot, there are also some very good restaurants in the village and a supermarket.

Loved the location as it was quiet and rural but an easy 5 minute walk into Kerkini town to get groceries and food. The hosts were welcoming, the house was spotless inside and out. The location near to the lake was wonderful. We had a lovely meal at a grill spot in town, then another at the fish farm in Ano Poriera, and a lunch at the old train station in Veronica. A wonderful area to explore and see the birds on the lake.

WISH OUR STAY WAS LONGER

Kerkini houses are very well located and easily accesed. Well equipped inside and spacious. Clean and comfortable. The preserved area/artificial lake is not overbuilded or crouded so the wild life is abundant. We were lucky to meet the best host and person. Thank you Antonis

The heater in the bedroom produced strange smell.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like per se. Some small things I noticed were that sometimes the WiFi would get slow, but that's to be expected. Most of the time the internet speed was plenty good! The other, very tiny thing, was the lighting, with almost all bulbs being super cold (blue) which made me not want to use them, but that is absolutely nitpicking on my end, and definitely not an issue :).

I loved that there is parking, and to top it all off it was covered parking, so my car stayed safe from the elements. There is also a gate that made me feel like my car is more secure and safe. Another thing that left an impression was the warm and caring hospitality from the hosts, which welcomed me and even offered to connect me to a car mechanic they know when they saw my car was having some problems. What was really surprising was that you can order food to the houses from a nearby restaurant. Not that you would need to order, as it is a beautiful village and it is worth taking a walk and sitting in one of the restaurants or cafes yourself, but it is nice to have the option in case you are super tired.
