Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe location is quite remote from the centre of town (Fabrik). It's also remote from other major attractions/beaches, and there really isn't a lot to do or around this hotel.
Staff were very friendly and very easy to deal with. The breakfast was al-a-carte and was delicious, the bread basket provided was also nice. In room complimentary coffee was fantastic as well as the Bulgari amenities.

United KingdomCost of food and drinks. €9 for a beer, €23 for a glass of wine, soft drinks were also expensive. We ended up buying from a local shop and ate at other restaurants locally.
Beautiful, great views, comfortable beds, lovely pool on the roof, staff are friendly, concierge service very responsive, breakfast very good (could do with slightly more variety)

Very clean and smart boutique hotel with very amenable staff. Great breakfasts and plenty of support to do and find activities on the island.

United KingdomWe were upgraded to a Jacuzzi room which on first thoughts, we were delighted. However, its not the most practical. The room next to us decided to use their Jacuzzi in the early hours of the morning. The problem is its not a small rumble it was too loud to the point where you couldn't sleep so you need to luck out on the neighbours. In those specif rooms, there is no real privacy. They do take note when you check in of any dietary preferences but it was never acted upon. A number of times my wife ordered coffee with oat milk and of course was served with milk. Avocado on toast where we specifically mentioned no eggs naturally came out with eggs. Breakfast is a slow order, there were only three tables once with 5 staff and literally took 20 minutes just to come over with the menus. The food is fine but if you are used to 5 star elevated standards then i would give this one a miss. It wasn't until day 3 did the staff click that we had specific dietary requirements. We ordered at the pool once but it involved at the time having to physically go up to the bar and an order was missed as well as served with the wrong milk. The upstairs bar which has a separate pool at the time of our stay was not open but we were told we could use the pool. However no towels are laid out, we went up at 11am one time and there was literally broken glass and lots of used towels just lingering there. We did mention this to reception but the response was a little ambivalent and simply mentioned some guests use that pool but we have no service. No issue at all, but if you are told you can use the pool for a 5 star hotel you would expect that area at least to be kept clean especially at that time of the morning. Overall, its an ok hotel, some staff are nice, the porter was a legend and genuinely had the smile and talent you would expect to see within the elevated 5 star hotels. Food, waitress staff coordination and general vibe was more akin to a 4 star.
Good location. There is an excellent beach slightly off the beaten track which was amazing.

United KingdomThis is a lovely hotel in a great setting overlooking the sea. Our room was large and comfortable - especially the bed - and the hotel facilities - the pool, spa etc - were fantastic. Delicious breakfast served on the terrace - in fact all the food we had was excellent. Most of all it was the staff who were so friendly and helpful - would definitely stay here again!

United StatesHad a rough start as we were not picked up at the ferry dock. Called the hotel and were put on hold just to be told they did not have our arrival info. Car was sent but transfer woes continued throughout our stay. During the check in process, we asked for a transfer that evening to town. To be fair, we discussed a couple of times and settled on 5:30. Just after 5, we received a call that the driver was waiting. The night before we left we requested a ride to the dock for the following day, after breakfast we checked with the front desk, there was no record of our request. Lastly, I responded to a note on Booking.com prior to our arrival to ask for the initial pickup transfer, apparently it goes to corporate not the property. This needs to be addressed. No apology initially, our last morning we were offered a cocktail. This was the nicest property we booked during our stay in Greece and it was the only one that just fell short.
Beautiful property and very comfortable rooms. Two employees were excellent; Raoul at the upper pool bar and Reisa at breakfast!! Their customer service and attention to detail were outstanding.

United StatesThe bathrooms were in desperate need of updating. The bathtub/shower combo were in need of upkeep. Caulking had eroded and the area did not present as clean. Additionally, the jetted pool had rust stains and needed repainting. Upon arrival they tout their Forbes hotel status but the accommodations did not live up to this standard.
Location, not close to lively night scene so the evenings were serene and quiet.

United KingdomNothing bad per se but just be sure about car trips. The car can be quite expensive and they vary depending on where you go. But they’ll happily order you a taxi if you ask instead. And it’s only 15 minutes to the old town if that.
From the moment we arrived we were treated to the katikies experience. All the staff members from every department were friendly and attentive. Every day we had a delicious breakfast that was served by lovely ladies. A different selection of local delicacies every day plus an a la carte selection! In the bar area the staff were friendly and always on hand to take a food or drink order. Delicious cocktails. The plunge pool in the room was amazing!! Clear view to the sea with no obstructions. Two swimming pools, our favourite was the one on the lower floor. Nothing was too much trouble, they even helped plan our week and set up a birthday surprise. I would recommend to anyone. The location is outside of old town so it’s not overrun and hippie fish is just down the road as is an excellent beach. Only 15 mins to old town and 20 mins maximum to the most of the island.

Due to the season almost coming to an end, it was not crowded at all, so we would recommend coming here for a bit of relaxation. We were insanely sad to leave.

From the moment we arrived at the property we were blown away with the experience. The front desk was absolutely incredible - attentive, welcoming, and informative. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. I arrived at the property 3 hours before check in and was greeted with juice and told I could enjoy the pool and villa amenities. Our room was upgraded for the special occasion we were celebrating. Room service and breakfast were such a treat. We felt like we could have just come to Mykonos to stay at this property and would have had the best trip. Very good location, exceptionally clean rooms and stunning views. I will be recommending Katikies to everyone I know.
