Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe sign on the front of the hotel is extremely hard to see at night. No receptionist when we arrived, so we had to find a card on the desk and ring. (A sign with a number to ring gave no answer.) A tiny detail: the shower head cannot be angled, weakening the otherwise nice experience of a good shower cubicle with plentiful hot water. No opaque curtains, just fine lace, meaning that at night with the lights on, people can see in.
Excellent value for money. Modest but just renovated, extremely clean, large room, large bathroom. A very good price. Close to the centre of town, but peaceful. Good road access.

GreeceWe waited about 20 minutes at reception for someone to check us in. Eventually, I called and a cleaning lady came to give us the key and gave us directions to the room. The door was difficult to unlock. The facilities worked fine but they were old. The water from the sink had a bad taste, almost salty, and was not great for brushing teeth. Lastly, me and my friend were both bitten by what we suspected were bed bugs. We didn't see any but were left with bites that fit the description on our feet.
The location was good, about a 10-minute walk from the main port. The beds were extremely comfortable and for the price, it was not an unpleasant stay.

United KingdomNobody was in the reception between 10.00 pm and 7.00 am, there was noise and disturbances up until 2.00 am, the bed mattress is in very poor shape, I only got to speak to 1 member of staff who did not even introduce themselves nor did they ask for my ID (booking reference, name, passport etc).

Plenty of long hair was on the floor. The receptionist did not come to the room with us. She said that the key was in the door.

United KingdomEasy come, easy go hotel. There is a lot to be said about getting the basics right and this hotel achieves that. Open plan lobby, neat and tidy rooms, balconies overlooking the street scene and a roof terrace with a pretty vista over the surrounding hills. Housekeeping was regular but relaxed and Yiota (Owner/Manager) was kind enough to gift me a late check out at no extra cost. Karafelas is a down to earth Greek hotel and I would recommend it to fellow travellers.
