Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

UgandaThe Hotel backyard has many street destitutes, sleeping on the pavements. They make one feel unsafe while walking at night, even when the Police station is next to the hotel.
The place is centrally located, easy to get to tourist buses. The staff very friendly, and Breakfast was delicious and nice variety.

Friendly and round the clock reception and the room comes with a complimentary bottle of red wine. The location is superb as it’s right in the centre of Athens and walking distance to many places.

I arranged what I thought was a day room at 9.30am but when I arrived at hotel the very pleasant receptionist told me that my reservation was not a day room but overnight stay and room would not be ready until 3pm.. I explained that our flight from Athens airport was after 8pm and we just wanted the room for a few hours to shower change etc before our 4.5 hour flight to Ireland. She very kindly give us a great room straight away and we were so grateful . The heat in Athens on Monday was plus 32 degrees centigrade and an air conditioning hotel and room was very good prior to our flight. We highly recommend this hotel for staff the courteous manner and indeed hotel facilities. We will definitely stay in this hotel again if in Athens again.

CanadaThis is not a negative comment but take it as suggestions. Provide a square towel, hang some paintings in your rooms.
And the location of the hotel is in the center of the city center where everything is accessible, near the metro, restaurants and tourist spots. The hotel staff is polite, kind and accomodative. All the ladies at the receptionist will greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. The only thing I will comment is that the male staff in the reception area (morning staff) need to know how to smile. But the night staff (all of it) are always smiling and they will greet you regardless if it's past midnight. I have a huge respect for the staff in the main dining room during breakfast. They are all very professional and you can tell that even when stressed by the demands of the guests, they remain in their composures, wearing their smiles on their faces, our cleaner at the 8th floor is very diligent and clean.

FinlandThe hotel was modern and very clean. Room was comfortable. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and water in the room. In the bathroom there was a large variety of toiletries including shampoos, shower gels, lotions, toothbrushes and pastes etc. AC was effective and worked well. Breakfast was great. We had early departure and the hotel prepared us lovely breakfast bags including a variety of food and drinks to go. The hotel was located very close to Omonia metrostation, which made it very easy to move around. There were some homeless people, drug addicts and prostitutes in the area, but we felt safe and everyone just minded their own business. I would stay again in this hotel anytime. Strongly recommend!
