Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe manager of the breakfast restaurant who looks like Celine Dion was quite rude and made us feel unwelcome as a LGBT couple. The rest of the staff was great but she was not.
Beautiful location, beautiful room, overall lovely. Exactly as advertised.

United KingdomThe room itself was clean, light, airy and had everything we needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and overall our stay was out of this world. The bus service included with the hotel is fantastic and the hotel village is well kept and beautiful. Our holiday couldn’t have been more perfect. We definitely felt relaxed and well rested and the food served at the buffet was absolutely delicious every meal.

Netherlands- Very simple and expensive cocktails at the bar. In the evenings there is good live music and quality cocktails would be useful - It is not convenient to travel from the room to breakfast, the pool or the sea. There is a special bus around the hotel, but it runs a little infrequently
- Beautiful hotel: room, view from breakfast, pools and the territory itself - Stylish and clean, but not ideally new room renovation. Each room has a view of the sea from the mountain - Excellent working air conditioner, even in extreme heat - Nice breakfast. Wide choice, possibility to make a custom omelette

Israelrecently stayed at Esperos Village in Rhodes, and it was an amazing experience. Special thanks to Ioanna at reception for making us feel so welcome. We stayed in the Belvedere Suite, which was stunning with a private pool and sea view, offering the perfect spot to relax in privacy. The hotel offers great facilities, including multiple pools, a spa, and a well-equipped fitness center. The food, especially the Mediterranean cuisine, was delicious, though the espresso coffee could use improvement. While the shuttle service was convenient, it can get busy, and the air conditioning on hot days wasn’t always enough. Overall, the excellent service and beautiful setting make Esperos Village a perfect spot for a luxurious getaway. Highly recommended!

NetherlandsInstant coffee does not belong at a five-star hotel, please replace the instant coffee with a (n)espresso machine and cups. Just like the soap dispenser for hair and body in the shower. For tea during breakfast please use bottled water. If you use tab water, also after boiling, you will taste the bleach.
Very modern and good located hotel. The staff is amazing friendly. The swimming pool is very modern and has a beautiful view. Also, the breakfast is very good. The room was spacious, clean and modern.

United Kingdom- our room would frequently get ants - the shuttle bus doesn’t run often enough and we often waited half an hour for one to go up the hill - we had loud neighbours despite being in a quiet area, luckily the staff were able to help with this
- the pools were all really clean and well maintained - the staff were very helpful and were knowledgeable - food was always great - the rooms were kept clean - facilities are great, there are rooms to shower in shower in after you’ve checked out, the bars are spacious and there is a lovely view from most places across the property

IsraelIt’s located on a steep hillside (rooms are staggered vertically) which can be uncomfortable for people with limited mobility or pregnant women. There’s a shuttle service in the hotel compound to mitigate that to some extent. The room’s decor is a bit outdated.
Great ocean view, very good breakfast and dinner buffet, great pool area, good value spa facility. Very comfortable bed.

RomaniaYou have to pay for everything, no facilities included. Even when I asked if I can make checkout 1 h later, I was asked to pay 60 euro, of course. Also you pay for self service dinner, you ask for a coffee and you are charged extra.
Starting with the entrance door of the room for which you need extra power to open it, very old, and continuing with the quality of the furniture, also old and not working properly, bathroom also old and nothing luxury. Overrated. Breakfast was very good, diversificated, friendly staff. Could not use the spa, which I supposed it is included in such a price for such a room, because they were charging extra for entering sauna. Never experienced this before in other hotels.

United KingdomAmazing place and highly recommended! The hotel is very clean and the staff are exceptional. They always were happy to help and organised anything we needed. We got upgraded to the view private pool room which was an amazing gesture as we were celebrating our honeymoon and even gave us fresh fruits and wine complimentary. The pool was cleaned everyday and the breakfast was also fresh and a wide selection available too.

United KingdomThere was nothing about the hotel itself I didn't like. However, the hotel maids were extremely loud. To the point that my next door neighbour had to come out and complain. I know that we all love a laugh and a joke. Nobody likes to work without exchanging a word with our coworkers. Also, seeing people resting and spending time on the beach or next to the swimming pool when you have to work hard during the hottest season can be quite frustrating. But having a continuous loud chatter out of the room's door for hours in the morning is not quite ideal either.
Staying at the Esperos Village was a whole new experience for me. I needed a couple of days to escape from life and unwind. And this place provided much more than that. The service was out of this world, all the staff members were going out of their way to assist in any needs. It is a five star resort, but it was a five star interaction with everyone, from the reception to the restaurant staff and the drivers. Because yes, there is a shuttle bus service in the resort! The room was spotlessly clean. Big, comfortable, with a massive comfy bed and two smart TVs. The most impressive thing was the architecture of the room. Practically there was no furniture. The bed and the sofa were built with a traditional technique, that only a few know how to use nowadays. What I enjoyed the most was the private pool. I know I spoiled myself with this luxurious treat. But it was exactly what I needed. And the views were breathtaking. The only thing I didn't try was the spa of the hotel. But there should always be something left for the next time. In regards to the restaurants and food, the breakfast was rich, with a great variety of food and fruits and a great service. For dinner I preferred the buffet and it didn't disappoint. Every evening there was different themed food and everything was absolutely delicious. Also, every evening there was a different show at the pool bar and both nights of my stay the singers performing were incredible. This is an adults only resort, so if peace and quiet is what you are looking for, definitely this is the perfect destination, for a luxurious and relaxing break.

United StatesNot a huge issue. However, I wish the gym was open later. Some days were all day excursions, and it would have been nice to be able to come back and get a workout in when I wanted. But again not really a major issue.
Facilities, Restaurants, location and gym were really nice. We had the private pool outside of our balcony, which we used regularly and was a very nice amenity that was worth the extra. Location was very convenient.

BelgiumThe only small minus point is that they resort is on a hill, so it’s a lot of walking up and down stairs to get from the room to the breakfast etc. However there is a free shuttle bus driving up and down and also to the beach.
Superb resort with excellent services, staff and rooms. Almost everything is perfect. Truly a place to relax. We had a room with a private pool, which was bigger than we expected. The room was spacious, clean and the airconditioning great. The room and private pool were different than on the photos here, so I added my own photos. I guess they have 2 types of these very great rooms. The dinner and breakfast buffets are really sumptuous with a big choice of very nice and special products in a room that offers great views over the sea.
