Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaThe glory days of the hotel have gone (only bathrobes still exhibit 5 stars) and the concrete facade and some furniture construction (chairs connected to a metal belt and sliding from the wall) seems outdated today, the air-conditioning system struggles 24/7 to cool air in the room (but the positive side is that it's impossible to catch cold which is the usual problem with a stronger conditioning), but the hotel still preserves the well established order and overall is a very good choice for relaxed holidays. One of the cover photos of the hotel show a circle of palm trees at a pool - the sight is outdated, what happened to the big palms I don't know, but they have planted new ones - quite small and some years to 'recover' the photo. When we arrived - much earlier than the official check-in time at 15.00 as our plane landed after 10 o'clock, a young receptionist took our documments, explained the general hotel rules (meals, towels) and promised to call us when the room would be ready and suggested that we must wait 1 hour (or, till 13.00? her English not clear), but we waited almost till 15.00 (sitting in the hotel's Castello bar, a bit dull after the long flight) and when we went to inquire about the room the other receptionist knew nothing about 'the promise'. The groups take much of their work and individual clients probably are not favoured :) I remained with a feeling that the hotel starts at 15.00 and if I trouble them earlier, it's my problem :) They did not offer towels to go to the pool area (because towels are in the room and the room is not ready), no refreshment drinks were offered (although there was a container with water and glasses covered with a towel near the reception, but we were shy to help ourselves not knowing the practice)... I had no further contact with the reception, only at check-out.
For us the biggest asset was water fun - 2 pools (2 Esperos hotels - Palace and Mare share the same location and the area is vast, green and well maintained), a lazy river and the sea. Location is perfect to get fast to the airport by car (25min) and Rhodes town (12-15min) and close (40min drive) to Lindos, Butterfly valley; plus - free parking at the hotel. Ambrosia restaurant HB regime was excellent. Breakfast from 7-10.30 (the last half hour without fresh additions, but there was always food available), with fresh orange juice, very good choice of dried fruit to complement porridge, musli or greek yoghourt and the rest of the calssic menu. Ask staff for a better coffee, but Americano style served from thermos jars. The dinner dessert choice was amazing (praise to the pastry chef) and in some evenings there was a choice of 3 more exquisite main-course plates to be ordered (free of charge) in addition to the usual rich dinner buffet. Drinks charged additionally. Restaurant staff very polite, understanding (especially Emilia, serving the left wing area as soon as you enter the restaurant). We stayed at Panorama room (4th floor) with nice sea views. There are many shelves in the room, it's spacious. Coffee machine with capsules, a kettle, a fridge, cups of 2 sizes (small for espresso and big for the tea). WC separate from shower/bath. Strong morning sun wakes up at sunrise (must use black-out curtains), but very nice afternoon atmosphere on the balcony, also for sitting in the evenings to enjoy the music programme. Children (and their noise) are not many because the families with children prefer the neighbouring hotel Esperides with slides, animation etc. German tourists (elderly) was the main clientelle during our stay and it was nice to enjoy the calm, polite atmosphere in the hotel.

IsraelAcoustic isolation isn't great. We could hear people passing in the hall or sometimes in the next room. It's not a problem if you sleep 11pm-8am or in off season, but I assume that in high season it would be hard to sleep past 8am if you're bothered by noise when you sleep.
Rooms are clean, spacious, nicely decorated and comfy. The sea view rooms have amazing views. The beds are very comfortable and everything was working properly Excellent breakfast!! So much variety it was hard to choose what to eat, and most things were delicious. The pools and the beach are beautiful and fun/ Great location. Easy drive to rhodes or Lindos, and the nearby town, Faliraki, offers some more restaurants and entertainment.

AustriaThe gym was fairly small (given the size of the hotel), and the bathroom was a little bit cramped & dark.
The hotel felt very alive & also homey. The food was delicious, the amenities were plentiful, the pool areas were excellent, and the bed was very comfortable.

AustriaEveryone has been very friendly and would assist anytime anyone had a query or an issue. i had only breakfast in the hotel, and it was amaaazing!!! There are so many diverse food offered, literally for every single diet under the sun! Many sort of breads, nuts, dried and fresh fruit, yoghurts, fresh veggies, different sorts of cheese, halvas, peanut butter, tahini, spices, olive oils, pancakes, waffles, other sweet pastries, eggs in all possible forms and shapes, everyday different veggie and vegan cooked dishes.. worth every single penny!!! The resort is very big and offers not only great beach but also green open space - ideal for workouts or children or even sunbathing. I am very grateful for the experience. Would like to mention that the whole team is doing really great job - everyone has been very professional, polite and friendly ❤️

LatviaWe have a room with land view and was little bit loud from the road. The evening shows was old school, no music during the day, very quiet. Some staff in breakfast and dinner was angry and now smiling at all.
Cleanness 100/10. Food was amazing, staff . I fall off from scooter and hotel staff give me 1st medical help. And next days ask if I’m okey. Bus stop next to the hotel. With buses till airport was about 1 hour drive 7€ but with hotel taxi 36€ and 13-15 minutes drive.

Netherlands- It would be nice to update the audio system in the rooms and the fitness equipment in SPA - I didn’t like the quality of service in water sports on the beach. I hope hotel will replace the company with another one - Dinner at the hotel is a bit expensive, but that's not a problem. You can have dinner cheaper in a cafe across the street or go to the city for dinner
- Excellent hotel area. Lots of greenery, marvellous lazy river. Quiet and peaceful place - Comfortable room (we took a higher comfort room with a sea view). Freshly renovated furniture - We've been to this hotel before. This time the number of personnel has increased significantly. Cleaning has improved and the hotel has become more nice and cozy due to renovation - Good breakfast. We liked the hot food, bakery and yoghurts. But fruits and fish could be better - Nice location. Across the street there is an excellent cafe Ilios for lunch and dinner. There is also a good El Greco supermarket. For 5 euros by two you can take a bus to walk around the old town of Rhodes
