The stairs outside were indeed a hangout for smokers, but they were all fine, don’t worry about it

Beautiful views, quiet, unfussy, very good breakfast

The room was comfortable and clean, with an AC unit which was more than welcome. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was more than decent - and the rooftop view is great!

Spacious clean room with fridge and comfortable bed. Optional buffet breakfast with some authentic Greek food options. Alternative area with lots of graffiti but a very lively neighbourhood with plenty of bars, cafes, and restaurants. Despite the appearance, it was safe. Great location for exploring Athens. Rooftop terrace with an amazing view of the Parthenon especially at night. Staff very friendly and helpful. 😄

A bit noisy area at night.

Very nice hotel with comfortable location, close to central streets. Staff - kind, warm and helpful. Breakfast which was served at a beautiful viewed terrace was great and various - many homemade dishes, salads, vegetables and etc. A place where I would love to stay many more times.

The hotel was situated in a less touristy part of Athens. Directly down the stairs from the hotel on Saturday is an amazing farmer's market. The staff was very helpful and arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport and return us to pick up our rental car. The shower was large and the water was hot. The view from the roof was amazing. We enjoyed the breakfast it was convenient and very good.

There was no bar for drinks on the rooftop terrace but we were able to buy wine at a supermarket close to the hotel.

Location was great with lovely restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were lovely…very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless with air conditioning. They were functional and had everything we needed for our 1 night stay. The rooftop terrace had fabulous views of the Acropolis and across the city. Would definitely stay here when returning to Athens.

    Nothing

Loved it! I didn’t just a room, I got my private terrace, with tables and chairs! Like living in a small villa! The location is incredible on top of a hill in the center of Athens in the very hip neighborhood of Exarchia! Incredible view of the city with magical sunsets!

There is nothing that I didn’t like, it’s a good place only I wish single rooms were a bit bigger. The bed sheet was a bit dirty but it was promptly changed when brought in to the notice of the hotel staff.

This place is very close to Monastiraki Square which is central to many happening places including Acropolis. The time to walk to the Monastiraki square is around 30 to 40 minutes maximum, also it’s very old into business as I met a couple who were coming to this place from last 40 years. The area offers a blend of many cafe’s and even on Saturdays there is a bazaar just down the stairs. Single rooms are comparatively smaller and they serve good breakfast on the rooftop which oversee the City.

If you are travelling with family, maybe you might feel a bit uneasy because of the people who gather close to the hotel at night to hang out/drink some beer (but from our experience there is nothing to be scared about, the neighborhood was safe).

The hotel is situated in a great location, close to many amazing restaurants and cafes and to the main squares (Syntagma and Omonia). Breakfast with a view was one of the highlights of our stay. The staff is more than friendly and has great suggestions on where to eat/what to visit etc. Definitely a location I will recommend to my friends!

Air conditioning was a bit noisy, and coud have been useful during a severe hot weather, and there were some animated parties in the street due to local events. Otherwise very nice place to stay

Nice place close to city centre

Nicely located with roof top view on the Akropolis and if you are into a hike or city walk, it's on walking distance from Lycabettus hill (30 mins, amazing view over all of Athens) and down town Athens (20 mins). Exarcheia itself is full of nice shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel has friendly staff and tasty breakfast.

There is an alley with stairs besides the hotel where some people reunite at night to drink and smoke.. nothing dangerous but doesn’t give a good impression.

The warm and kind staff are exceptional. They really made a difference and they are one of the main reasons why this place will be my first choice if I get a chance to visit Athens again. - Super clean, great shower, very comfortable bed and pillows, fast WiFi. - Loved the little balcony facing the park with the big trees and the sound of Cicadas. - Very quiet AC that works really well and the room I had (11) stayed cool for several hours after AC is turned off because it is facing the park and the shade from the trees makes a big difference in keeping the temperature down. - Cold water in the fridge in a big glass bottle that you can keep topping up from the tap or by boiling water using the kettle in the room. - Great buffet breakfast served on the rooftop terrace. - Rooftop terrace with incredible views across Athens, especially at sunset. Place is right next to Lycabettus hill too with St George Church on top. - As others have mentioned, the place is on a steep hill so be aware of that, but I personally loved that for the exercise, the views, the park next to it and the fact that the location is a residential area where locals live. - Re transport, I found it easy and economical to take the metro from Piraeus to Panepistimio Station when I first arrived (€1.90), then a taxi to the hotel (€4). When I left for the airport, again I took a taxi to Panepistimio then the metro to airport (€9). - l stayed in the Orion part of the hotel. Dryades is next door and is very nice too according to another guest I met who was staying there for about a week.

Really lovely hotel, in a great location by a nice park, views of trees from the balcony! They had 24h checkin which was helpful for us. The highlight for us was the breakfast - all really lovely homemade dishes made with amazing ingredients, some of them from villages, on the rooftop with an amazing view!

It was an awesome experience, nothing bad to report!

The hotel in itself is wonderful, very clean, with large rooms, in a great neighborhood, with a lot of restaurants that are less touristy than around Plaka. But most of all, the people working at the hotel were exceptional. We had a little incident during the stay and they went out of their way to help us (thank you so much again, Dimitri, you are the best!). I could not recommend this hotel and the wonderful people who work there enough.

Could have been a tiny bit cleaner, and the hair dryer wasn't working.

The stand-out was the breakfast - has one of the best views you could imagine and was only €9. It also stays open if you want to take your own drinks up till 1am. The receptionist/concierge Elena was an absolute legend with lots of great recommendations. She also accommodated us so we could check in earlier. The hotel is located in a cool part of Athens, in proximity to a lot of restaurants. The terrace and general set-up of the family room was lovely.
