Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

BulgariaI would advise to improve WiFi, I would advise the owners of the hotel to make a mesh - network by installing a router in all buildings, or at least significantly strengthen the signal of the router to ensure a stable WiFi signal throughout the area.
Wonderful place for a holiday. Responsive and helpful staff, clean rooms, daily cleaning, kitchen, shower, balcony overlooking the sea, first line, great beach and the view from the balcony is amazing.

This place is a golden spot of Thassos. The location is amazing, with nice rooms, private beach (sunbeds included), outside shower and a lovely garden. We booked 9 nights here (at the end of September) and it was a dream. We had an amazing view from our balcony, a room equiped with an electric stove, plates, pots, cups, the basic necessities for a pleasant stay. We often chose to eat on our balcony and the atmosphere was dreamy. Nearby the hotel there are 2 beautiful tavernas, with good food and beautiful vibes if you want to dine out. They cleaned our room every day and changed our bedsheets and towels every 2 days. Our hosts, Eleni and her family were always super kind and present. Super, super nice! We highly recommend this place, we loved it and we cannot wait for the winter to pass in order to return to this beautiful oasis. Thank you, Eleni, for everyhing. All the best from Bucharest, Romania!

RomaniaHeaven on Earth! The place is a jewel, it is perfect to recharge and feel the sea and the nature! The view on the balcony is priceless!! Eleni is very friendly and helpfull, the room was decent, clean, spatious enough. Tavern Sta Kala Kathoumena 100m away with delicious food and decent prices. Strongly recommend!

IsraelThe property is a few meters from the water front. It is wonderful sitting on the balcony and looking out at the sea. You walk down a few steps of the property and walk on a sandy beach. The owner was very friendly and provided us with everything we needed.

LithuaniaWe were lucky to get to the Dolphins House for 4 nights at the start of the season as the accommodation is almost always booked. We circled around Thasos island, and it is one of the most beautiful places if you want to have a quiet rest. Accommodation with benefits only - a balcony overlooking the sea, you can hear the waves crashing on the shore, the beach maybe 30-50 steps from the house. Plenty of parking space - there is a shelter with a shade for cars. Surrounded by several taverns with good seafood 200-300 meters up the hill. Very welcoming and hospitable hosts, we felt their attention all the time during our stay.
