The internet was sometimes bad, but it was not a big problem

The people who are working here are very nice! Heartwarming. Food was also good, and it was nice that they made something different for dinner each day.

During our stay there was south wind bringing so much dust from Africa and it was windy and not much sun until our last 2 days, but of course this is not the fault of the hotel and they actually made it easier for us during this time. The only real con was having to stay in the room during the dust storm and not having access to movies or tv besides news. But normally we would never even turn the TV on.

We were greeted with happiness and the staff was so helpful, showing us the best places to see on our trip. They were all so friendly and treated us like family. There was always someone to talk to if we needed anything. Breakfast was very good and they would accommodate any requests we had. The whole place was very clean and we'll maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable. There is spa services with massage, jacuzzis, warm pool and sauna at a very low extra cost. There is also a pool and kiddie pool included with the stay. We definitely recommend this beautiful place in Malia.

In one of the days all city had a water malfunction, which was sorted till evening, but the host was very kind and we had a surprise: they provided us a home made wine, on the house

The room is exactly like in pictures from website. The host is very kind, ready to help at any time. Transport from and to airport is available for 50- 60€. Hotel is close to restaurants, ATM’s and the groceries shop is across the street where you have a variety of products. 5 minutes walking till beach. Pool is also available ( with no extra fee but is across the street). The beach is lovely (gold sand, clear and warm water with sun beds available and a restaurant on the beach with drinks available) The location is very good and the room furniture is very comfortable. The room was very clean with clean towels available and cleaning service available daily. ATV’s / scooters are available to rent for trips in Malia. Maria and her husband are lovely people ready to help at any point of time and they are all the time available .

Maybe the room was a bit small. But we were hardly there, so it didn't really matter at some point.

The location was perfect. Near the beaches, the restaurants, the nightlife. Also bus stations if you want to go to different cities. Stores open late at night. Places to rent cars, scooters. Everything! Maria and everyone were amazing. They were very welcoming and nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Quad bikes roaring up and down all hrs throughout the night.Lucky i had ear plugs young people abit rowdy coming back from night clubs

Love i had the best view and very clean,The staff especially Maria very helpful and treated me extra special for my birthday. Good value for the price we paid. Our bedroom was facing the another aparthotel, I guess it was quieter than the ones facing the road. The children loved the swimming pool at Philoxenia Hotel Apartments. The breakfast was also nice, for the price 9 euros. The owner Maria and the reception girl were very attentive and helpful, always eager to help out with recommendations or anything we'd need.

The room is recently renovated, clean and modern. The bed was perfect. TV with channels in different languages (some hotels don't have English-language channels). The location is perfect, very close to the beach, restaurants and main attractions. McDonald's is a minute's walk away (If you are into that kind of food. My choice was the Greek tavern a few more minutes walk). Great communication from management (Maria) and helpful staff. Highly recomending!

Unfortunately, when I booked, there was no information to go to the pool, you have to cross the road to another hotel. In the pictures it looks like the pool belongs to the hotel. this is not true.

Beds seemed too hard for us, so sleeping wasn't very comfortable. Noise from the street.

Location, cleanliness, very attentive hostess Maria. Pool was in nearby hotel, but bonus - free parking provided. Beach nearby in easy walking distance. Daily cleaning, towel and bedding changing when needed. Properly working air conditioner. Overall good value for money.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like, it was perfect! I would maybe suggest bringing or buying some plastic cups as the glasses provided were slightly small but no biggie!

The location is perfect and the family that own it are so lovely and helpful. Really made our time in Malia so amazing!

We had a blast staying at this lovely aparthotel. The location is central, surrounded by supermarkets, souvenir shops, clubs, restaurants. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional. The pool is nearby. I highly recommend staying here.

The family that own the hotel were so lovely and very helpful. Me and my friends found the location to be absolutely perfect as it was in between the beach and the clubs which was so handy for us and made it super easy for us to get everywhere very quickly. The pool was also really lovely to have.

It is very close to the beach and to the main street, yet far enough from the noise of the night clubs. Rooms are spacious and very clean, towels and bed sheets were changed every day. The pool is clean and large, you can swim in it. The hosts waited us after midnight since we arrived very late and they were very hospitable.

It is quite literally a 5 minute walk to clubs, so there will be some noise at night. As 5 guests, it didn't bother us but this is important to note.

The hosts Maria and Mike were very lovely, and showed outstanding hospitality, we loved that Despina Aparthotel is located right next to the bustling strip in Malia, making all key areas to visit within 10 minutes walking distance from our location. Especially excursion agents which offer transfers for various activities. All of our rooms were clean, had a balcony, a small fridge to keep our drinks cooled, AC which is absolutely necessary in the 30c heat around the end of June. The pool was absolutely lovely, it has a deep end and there is a lot of sunbeds to catch a tan. The pool closes at 7pm though. We were all able to have a good night rest every time, shower and go out as much as we can day and night.
