Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Good location, very central, next to the metro. Room was fine, clean, with comfortable beds. Good breakfast included in the price, coffee and tea in the room. Good value for money.

PortugalEven though in the morning the location was very nice, at night walking from the center on the paralel streets it didnt feel very safe for a young woman alone.
The view of the restaurant at the rooftop. The staff in general but specially the bartender ( I forgot to ask his name). The room was very nice and the bed looked comfortable but I didnt got to sleep it was a short stay, i just lay down for a couple of minutes.

United StatesHad some issues with getting the AC to go on at first. It did finally kick on, but just a heads up to ask the front desk if yours doesn't go on right away.
Nice hotel close to the Metro station. The bed was comfortable, the continental breakfast was great, and the staff was really helpful and kind!

UkraineThe hotel is just right outside the metro station, 100 meters max. Has a beautiful bar/restaurant on the roof with an amazing view. Bed was comfortable, room equipped with a mini fridge, TV, and air conditioner. Breakfast was good with fried eggs and other stuff. For the price we paid it was a great option. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend

NetherlandsAthens streetsounds are loud. This is something the hotel cant help. The neighbourhood is not very posche or chique but we never felt unsafe. Others might feel unsafe in the hotel neighbourhood but to us it was not an issue. The breakfast was okay but sadly a nice cappucino was missing; A quality hotel serves good coffee for breakfast !
The beds, the balcony, the sound proof doors and windows, the friendly staff, the price . We found out that the price can vary considerably and we got the best deal !

United KingdomThe only downside was the area surrounding the hotel, which felt a bit unsettling, especially at night.
Although we initially booked our stay at the Crystal City Hotel, we were relocated to their sister property, Golden City Hotel, due to some unforeseen plumbing issues. While we didn't get to experience Crystal City first-hand, I must say our stay at Golden City was delightful. The rooms were very comfortable, with cozy beds and pillows that ensured a good night's sleep. Housekeeping was excellent, with our room cleaned daily and fresh towels provided each day. Breakfast was perfect, and we especially appreciated the warm hospitality from Spiridon. Dinner was also a highlight of our stay, thanks to Albert who made our dining experience memorable. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and hassle-free.

United KingdomWe had a car which meant we could park it in the underground car park. What is not clear is why they charge you 10 Euros a day while you stay here but just be aware that they do and it might be cheaper to park elsewhere if you can. Additionally if you have a large vehicle the space is very tight and can be difficult to navigate the space.
The facilities were fine and generally the staff were friendly. The rooms are ok although ours faced an aircon unit on the building opposite so from that perspective it wasn’t that nice. The TV and WiFi worked fine and the bathroom was a decent size with a great shower. The breakfasts had a great selection of food to choose from. The best part of the hotel is the roof top bar which gives you a view of the Acropolis (although only at one end of the terrace).

United Arab EmiratesI got what I paid for. Maybe rooms can have a bit more space but again, this is Europe and this is not unusual. Plus we have our toddler so makes any room feel cramped with her toys everywhere.
The best feat of this hotel is the location, access to public transport (2 minutes to reach the station by walk), the access to some good restaurants. We stayed here for 3 days and we were for the most part of Athens outside the hotel, exploring. And so, if this is your itinerary, I'd say go for it. Its a good value for money with good selection of breakfast.
