Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenLocated in a bit of a bad area. Lack of electrical outlets is a problem. Not very well sound isolated, you can hear everything in the hallway.

United StatesThe hotel looks dated. It is a bit tucked away. Outside the rooms looks like it could use some help.
The breakfast was a typical European breakfast at a hotel. The inside of the rooms is really nice. The location is within 2 minutes walking from Omonoia Metro.

GermanyProblem were the guests that were really loud in the corridor and balcony and where slamming the door all the time so we couldn’t relax There were also mosquitoes cos the windows were open and we left it that way too..it would be better if there was a net on the window. Maybe it’s ok when you don’t open window and use air con but we didn’t need it
It had everything we needed only a water kettle would be nice to have but it’s ok

LebanonThe room is very small and the bathroom needs renovation and upgrade. The shower water slips throughout the bathroom and you need small rugs to prevent the water from getting into the room. The room cleaner was so kind to offer us many small rugs. You may have read about the drug addicts and homeless who are next to the hotel; this is very true. However, they were not dangerous but the only disturbing fact is that they stare at you. The police station is very close to the hotel which makes one's stay more assuring. On this note, it is very recommended that you do not bring your children to this area in order not to expose them to such unpleasant encounters especially if they are young in age.
Hotel Cosmopolit is perfectly located in Omonia. It is literally at 2-min walk from the metro station with great access to bus stops and groceries and coffee shops around. The local food market is at 5-6 min walk where you can find great local products. The hotel staff is super friendly and provide support anytime you need it. The breakfast is average with very limited choices every day. Nonetheless, the food quality is good and if you need a change, you can find plenty of bakeries and pasteries around the hotel. Cleanliness: the room cleaner made our room everyday even on a local holiday and provided clean towels on a daily basis. The overall experience was good and it is certainly a value for money.

NetherlandsEverything is a bit older and the neighborhood of the hotel might seem a bit rough with homeless people etc but they never bother people.
Staff is great as is the location. Stayed 6 days in this hotel and will definitely stay here again the next time! Housekeeping is swift and fast as I like it. Close to Omonio subway station. (50 meters)

SwedenYeah, you have to give your room keys to the front desk, so if you are uncomfortable with that - select another hotel (we were okay). Being a bigger guy, it was uncomfortable and stressful for me to use the toilet or shower. They stack too close to each other, so my right leg had to be in the shower while the left leg fit in under the sink. I was even considering changing the hotel. Consider putting your shower glass wall on hinges so the guests can move it out of the way when they use the toilet.
Breakfast was quite okay considering the price. The front desk works 24/7, so if you wish to hang around at night, you can do it and you should not worry if you drink too much and lose your keys since you have to give them to the front desk every time you leave the hotel.

SerbiaWell it’s a very small hotel not very clean it has a decent breakfast, and it’s very affordable it’s solid for a one night stay when you are visiting for the purposes of concerts or for business it’s not comfortable for a longer stay, and it’s very cheap great location, a bit scary street though but okay. So to sum up good when you’re looking for a cheap place to stay for a quick visit.
