Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI can't fault it!
Nondas & Athina were amazing hosts, picking us up and dropping us off at the airport, as well as giving wonderful restaurant and beach recommendations. Nonda's even walked us around the local area on arrival so we felt very settled straight away. The location of Charming house is perfect! So close to the beach with plenty of bars and restaurants, as well as the bus stop being a stones throw away if you want to get into town (it's a very short journey). We particularly loved the local bakery for our morning coffee! Although we didn't cook, the apartment is very well prepared if you'd like to. We really appreciated our welcome basket of olives, yoghurts, waters and ouzo! The beds were very comfortable with air conditioning in every room. We can't wait to come back!!

United StatesIf you are picky, the kitchen could be upgraded, and the bathroom could use a glass division instead of a curtain, but those are minor details. You have to know that this is not an upscale property, but the location easily pays off for any shortcomings.
The location of this property is exceptional. It is located between the two best beaches in Mykonos, Psarou and Platys Gialos. It is about 100 meters from Platys Gialos, and 250 meters from Psarou. We made a point to visit all the beaches in Mykonos and we did. All the other beaches are crowded, difficult to park, transportation is usually by bus which forms long lines in the afternoon, and have low quality services. Psarou is the most upscale beach in Mykonos, although expensive to rent sunbeds, but the water and sand qualities are the best of all. There is a place where you can just put your beach towel and umbrella and spend all day. Platys Gialos is a notch below Psarou, a little more affordable for sunbeds, and also has a place for your beach towel. We decided to split our days between the two. The house is old, and doesn't have ocean view. But you are so close to the ocean that it doesn't matter. The host is great, he helps you with everything, and his recommendations are spot on. This property is a great value, because you have two bedrooms, with air conditioning, and it's one of the only houses in the area. The rest are high-cost resorts which can cost you upwards of $400 for a double room. I will come back to this property from now on. The house has parking in front, which is almost private, the bus stop is 50 meters down the road, a supermarket 200 meters away and two convenience stores at 20 and 50 meters. A great bakery at 50 meters, and a fantastic restaurant 150 meters away. You can't ask for more. There is a car rental agency 50 meters away also.

United StatesThe house is in the heart of Platy Gialos with short walks to restaurants, mini markets and Platy Gialos beach. Kupios Nondas showcased the exceptional Greek hospitality by providing a tour of the house to show us how everything worked, along with excellent restaurant recommendations (don't miss going to Avli) and the beaches at Agios Sostis, Lia and Kalafati. I was especially glad to show my teenage sons a more traditional house setting instead of staying at a hotel. The outside sitting area, outdoor shower and patio area were beautiful and wonderful to relax in the breezy shade. Nondas was highly responsive to any questions we had and provided just the right level of communication when we needed it at the beginning and end of our stay. I highly recommend staying at the Charming House!

United Kingdomnothing at all.
A lovely traditional, quirky Greek house with a private garden and seating area. Its position to the beach, bars, restaurants, supermarket and a lovely bakery (which serves excellent coffee, cakes sandwiches etc) are all within a 5 minute walk. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided and the owner Nondas was wonderful. He speaks very good English and right from picking us up from the airport he was sociable, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Anything we needed from car hire to general information on the island was provided almost immediately and a special request we made concerning check out was catered for without any problem, which we are really grateful for. Thank you Nondas you are a fantastic host.

United StatesThe property was located at a great location near Platy Gialos. Very comfortable stay. The porch was a wonderful place for breakfast and relaxing. The host, Nondas, was particularly great and helped us arrange transport and book a excellent cruise.

United KingdomFixtures and fittings are old and need updating to modern standards. Eg. a plastic shower curtain touches your skin whilst showering. Decluttering generally would help.
Good central location with lovely outside terrace. Nondas is a delightful obliging host whose taxi services and recommended tours and restaurants were excellent.

AustraliaOnly down fall was due to an early checkout but a late ferry departure, there was no place to store luggage.
Charming House in Platy Gialos was a very beautiful, fully equipped & convenient home. The location is perfect, a very short walk to the bakery, bus stop & beaches. The home is perfect for a group of 5-6! The owner of the home happily shared helpful information of the island to ensure we had the best experience. We look forward to another stay here on our next time in Mykonos.
