I tend not to bother writing reviews but felt obliged to for this place. The service, the room, the attention to detail, the location: Canale is perfect. From the beautiful welcome, to the Bulgari cosmetics, to the stunning design. This was one of several luxury hotels I stayed at during this trip, and was comfortably the best.

Very minor negatives in the face of all that was exceptional - due to the ultra-modern design of the rooms, the shower in our room didn't have a door, and in my sons' room the glass between the shower area and adjacent toilet stall was clear (it was not clear in our room). Some may prefer more privacy.

I can't say enough good things about the Canale! Breakfast was exceptional - We (my husband, my two sons in their mid-20s and I) were treated like royals daily with an array of complimentary Greek yogurt with honey, nuts and seeds, freshly baked on-site cakes and pitas and fresh fruit, all before we even ordered from the menu! The entire staff (Spiros, Nina, Kostas, Andonis, Stevie, Eva and her mom/the chef, Lefteris, and Alexandra) were very warm and friendly, treating us like we were the only guests, and all spoke excellent English; we bonded dearly with each one and will never forget them! We were given bottles of champagne in our rooms (to enjoy in the jacuzzi on the balcony!); each night they tidied up our rooms while we were out, besides the daily afternoon maid service, and left us a small dessert and a large bottle of Evian. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are infused with delicate scented oils; there is relaxing spa music throughout the halls; the elevator speaks to you; and the rooms are "smart" with buttons to operate everything! Every day we received a fresh set of beautiful beach towels. They also gave each of us a lovely straw beach tote bag (to keep) and a parting gift of local specialties when we left. We were greeted like family every time we entered the lobby; happily chauffeured wherever we needed to go at no extra charge and then were picked back up within minutes of calling for them; they made a nail salon appointment for me, took me there and brought me back; called a pharmacy for me and picked up a medication I needed; made great dinner and touring suggestions and all our reservations! They also reserved daily, and for FREE, sun beds/palapas for us at beautiful Makris Gialos/Costa Costa beach right up front (worth $200 day for 4 people!). I would go back just to see the staff again!!

Absolutely nothing. The staff went above and beyond in every request or need.

From the moment you park infront of the hotel door till your last minute saying goodbye to the staff, it is an impeccable experience. The staff are the warmest, most helpful and genuine I have seen in a long, long time. Alexandra, Stevie, Nina, spiros, kostas and one more guy which I unfortunately forgot his name, they were incredible incredible INCREDIBLE. Always smiling, always checking in with us how our days went and recommending when we needed help. We wanted to charter a yacht for a day and do many beach stops and they had the perfect, most professional options. We had a wonderful stay at canale. Also not to forget, the rooms are very well done and kept, everything is tastefully done. The touches of Bvlgari, evian and a range rover to drop you off or pick you up anywhere in Argostoli were a really nice touch from the management. The jacuzzi in the room is clean and new also. The waterfall pressure of showers are AMAZING. Location is perfect. I could go on and on 😊 σε ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ

The best hotel we’ve stayed at. Absolutely incredible. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Already thinking about our next trip at Canale. The hotel is beautiful and clean but the staff is what truly sets Canale apart from every other luxury 5 star hotel. The staff is absolutely incredible; kind, knowledgeable and always ready to help. Will be recommending Canale to all our friends and family.

Nothing it was first class!

Loved everything!! The location, the room, the breakfast and most importantly the exceptional service from Spiro and his team. These are the high standards many other 5 star hotels talk about but cannot successfully achieve. Take note hotel managers, you have so much work to do to achieve the exceptional quality and calibre of the Canale hotel and suites.

We returned to Canale this year, and once again it met and exceeded our expectations. As a designer of luxury residences hotels I travel widely to experience what's out there. This is simply one of the best boutique luxury hotels in the world. A quiet unassuming elegance that is so refreshing ! It was wonderful to see hosts Spiros and Alexandra again, who are absolute assets to the Canale. There is nothing too small for them; and they go out of the way to make sure everything is perfect for you. A huge congratulations and I look forward to visiting again !

Everything about our stay at Canale was perfect. From the moment we arrived, my boyfriend and I were made to feel like their only guests. We were greeted with cocktails and cucumber water on arrival, and even upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi as it was our anniversary. The breakfast each morning was exceptional. The best and most decadent breakfast I’ve ever had - the host just kept bringing out delicious food. And when my boyfriend mentioned that he liked passionfruit, each morning the host brought out extra passionfruit. Above all else, the best things about this hotel is the staff. They are always on hand to help and make you feel welcome. We can’t wait to come back every year.

The main thing about this hotel is client experience. Alexandra and whole team are very caring, available and always ready to make your stay great in the island. Their recommendations (restaurants, beaches etc)are always very good. Highly recommend this hotel.

I kind of stumbled upon this hotel as I was looking for a private jacuzzi/ hot tub with the room. This was a birthday treat for my partner and a bit of spoiling was in order. But we both got much more than what we expected with 5 star treatment, concierge service and super friendly staff. Breakfast also deserves a mention - great selection of sweet and savoury, including fresh fruits and greek options. An absolute smashing service and experience provided by the entire team at the hotel. Felt more like friends by the end of it and we will definitely be back.

This hotel was absolutely incredible. The breakfast was superb, location was perfect and the staff could not have been more helpful. We spent three weeks travelling around Greece and Kefalonia was our favourite place to visit- massively due to this hotel!
