The parking lot is tight, better not to rent a big car.

We were received and treated with lots of warmth from our host. The location is excellent, just 2 minutes walk from the beach and pretty quiet, building being situated behind the main road.

The place was amazing. Everything was new, clean and cozy. The room had everything you need - iron, hairdryer, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, small kitchenette with all the needed kitchenware. We had some wine and snacks in the room. The beach is 40m from the hotel and old town is 30-40 minutes away by foot. Mary was really kind. She helped us organise last minute airport transfer. She was always available for questions and gave us good restaurant recommendations.

Although close to the city centre, the distance is still pretty long to cover it by foot if it's still sunny.

Fresh apartment with everything you need. Tastefully designed, with a lot of space for a couple with a kid. The free parking lot was crucial especially that close the city centre. The beach is just 3 minutes away with a nice wind to not get sunburnt. Quite safe neighbourhood. Nice outside area with the table to chill during the day.

No dishwasher and washing machine, but this is stated in the description. The view from the balcony is not special, but the apartments are located in a side street, so you have peace and quiet.

Beautifully decorated and clean apartment with attention to detail, lots of space, comfortable bed, air condition in each room. Location right next to the beach and close to the old town. The apartments have several parking spaces, but you can also park for free along the main street. Very kind and helpful hostess, thank you for all the tips and for hosting us!

I wish there was a washing machine in the apartment, but we managed without it after all.

Mary is super helpful and very welcoming. She was responsive to our messages and waited for us to arrive. The apartment was very clean and spacious. There’s a little kitchen with everything needed. It was just a 2min walk to the Main Street and beach. There is also a supermarket and restaurants around the corner. The hotel also has a little parking space. We would recommend Calmare suites to everyone! Thank you for the great hospitality ☺️

The parking is a bit difficult. The property only has 4 parking spots but many more apartments so every time you go somewhere with you car it's a gamble whether you can find a spot when returning. It was also very hard to find parking on the main street, at least for us it was.

The staff was very friendly and kind. Everything was spotless clean and we also had cleaning every 2-3 days. The apartment is very close to the beach and it has lots of restaurants and supermarkets near. You can also walk along the beach to get to the old town. We had a ground floor apartment and it also had a small terrace. All the doors and windows have nets they keep mosquitoes and other bugs out. They provided us with beach towels and a small umbrella to take to the beach and we had a bottle of wine waiting for us.

Mary was a wonderful host, friendly and helpful- her restaurant tipps were fabulous, especially "petit fleur" - star quality! The room was the nicest we had on Crete, the bed very comfortable and the design and comfort were outstanding! 3 minutes walk for a morning swim!

I don't have anything bad to say about the apartment.

The apartment was beautiful, clean, and modern. What I like and appreciate a lot are the small things that they give to you, like the traditional drink Raki, small shampoos, and even a beach umbrella. When you want your apartment to get cleaned, you just turn the sign on the door “please clean up” and when you get back, your apartment is like the first day, everything is cleaned and replaced. And the last one, the host is very kind and welcoming. What I have forgotten to mention is that you have a lot of restaurants and markets around your apartment whatever you need is max. 10 minutes away by walking. If we would visit Rethymno again we would choose this apartment 100%.

I have spent 3 wonderful weeks in Calmare apartment. It’s perfect place for people who love wandering throughout a long beach, sunbathing, swimming and appreciate peace and quiet. 10-15 minutes’ walk you reach the most beautiful city in Crete, Rethymno with excellent restaurants, shops, disco clubs, beautiful Old Town narrow streets and many more. Calmare apartment hotel is the best for people who want to be treated like in the great hotel but at the same time have privacy like in own home. You get everything to prepare your own meal or just few steps away you can choose delicious meal in one of many local restaurants. You can choose everyday different beach services. The nearest with comfy sunbeds and umbrellas is just 2 minutes’ walk, so if you forget something from your apartment or just want to get a rest from sun is really nice. Our best beach service with nice cocktails and snacks is Atlantis. Apartments are new, clean and looks like you can see in the photos. The owner of apart. Hotel, Mary is very nice and helpful. She is perfect combination of the best manager and concierge. Mary does everything to make your stay as you wish it be. It’s our third stay in Crete. We explored west, Chania and Heraklion area, but noting compare with Rthymno and kindness of locals there.

Nice location, quiet neighbourhood, close to Rethymnon beaches and restaurants (nevertheless you will need a ride to old town). All new, beautiful design, very clean. Great hosr/Mary will help you with everything you need. Definitely a great option for a summer holiday in Rethymnon.
