Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBreakfast wasn't great they seemed to run out of things. Also 10am finish is in my opinion too early
Beautiful clean hotel for adults. No problems with sunbeds. Quiet area but on a pedal bike you can be in kos town in 15-20 minutes

SwitzerlandThe use of the fitness room in Apollon was extremely cumbersome(already 2023) and the older lady with red hair at the reception of Hotel Apollon was more than unfriendly, incompetent and, on top, unable to correctly note the record the times booked. My room was too expensive for me alone, but thats my problem, I booked it accordingly.
The staff(cleaning lady in my room, breakfast staff, reception(Slava) were exceptionally nice, courteous, competent and supportive.

IrelandBeds were not very comfortable. Only a single sheet supplied as cover. Very cold at night even with AC off. Would be nice if an extra blanket was stored in wardrobe so guests had the option of using.
Lovely clean and modern hotel. Very nice staff. Great cocktails and pool food. Good location, only a short walk into Kos Town.

United KingdomWe were a family 4 staying in a Deluxe Suite . It was a little cramped in the living area with the 1 bed seatee and an extra ‘put me up bed ‘ added, I thought it was going to be 2 bed seatee ‘s . It was also uncomfortable at times with the bathroom directly opening into the lounge area.
The modern fresh design was appealing and relaxing. The outside areas were spacious and sun loungers were plentiful. It has a good vibe and everyone was respectful of others. Adults only helped. The staff were all very professional, kind and welcoming.

DenmarkSuper cozy hotel, which is close to the beach, Kos town and a good selection of good restaurants. If you want a hotel that is quiet with a cozy lounge atmosphere, then Apollon Windmill is definitely recommended, there is no shortage of sunbeds and you can buy delicious lunch and drinks at the bar while you enjoy the sun and a swim in the pool.

FinlandThe room was not decorated in anyways. Like a hospital room. Also the hotel was all inclusive that was not mentioned anywhere. This shows. Everyone traveling knows to avoid "all inclusive" hotels because it makes food, personnel, breakfast etc. below average. Bulk bulk bulk... Special notice for "Greek Salad" => Had nothing to do with greek salad.

SwitzerlandI recently traveled alone for the first time, and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and helpful. They The location of the hotel is absolutely beautiful, offering a serene and relaxing environment. The pool water was perfect—not too warm, but just right for a refreshing swim. The hotel itself had everything I needed to unwind, and I often found myself enjoying the amenities instead of venturing out. The only issue I encountered was with a cricket in my room , which was quite loud and made it difficult to sleep on the second night, but the hotel staff quickly took action. They found me another room where I could sleep peacefully. I really appreciated how promptly they addressed the situation and ensured my comfort. Overall, I'm very pleased with my stay. The staff, whether in the evening or morning, worked seamlessly together, and I'm proud of how smoothly everything went. It was a fantastic experience, and I'm already planning to return, hopefully with a friend, in September.

Italy-Breakfast: the overall quality is good but the rate of refill is too slow: getting some fruit was almost impossible since it was refilled too slowly. -There is no shower soap provided: it must be taken by guests, this is not acceptable for a 4 stars hotel. -Quality of the food at pool bar could be beter: greek salad with liquid cheese instead of feta (or better detailed in the menu) -The Gym is free but is located in the Apollon Hotel, 300m far, and there is no air cond inside. -the position is not wonderful, quite far from city centre in the countryside. At least is quite, but you'll need a car to get to supermarket or city centres (or bicycles available at rental close to the hotel. !st day is for free)
-Nice pool, but they should put more umbrellas since it could be difficult to find shade. -Good level of cleanliness -Quite place since is a Adult's Only

United KingdomThe WiFi - it's fine if you're just browsing but a bit slow for remote work.
The hotel staff were very lovely and accommodating. The room and hotel areas were really clean. The location is good - 5-10 minute walk from the beach. The town is also walkable (20 minutes) but you can also rent a bicycle from a place around the corner from the hotel. There are cycling routes so you can easily get around. It's also convenient as parking spaces looked limited in the town centre.

United KingdomThe location is quite a way from the attractive and vibrant town centre and on the street full of hire car, bike & scooter shops . Perfect if you have transport of some kind less so if you want easily accessible shops and restaurants. Even with a car parking in Kos is a nightmare and buses unreliable. Rented bikes and Taxi's are the best and most efficient way to enjoy the facilities in the town unless you are OK walking the distance in the heat .
Excellent breakfast. Lovely Very helpful and friendly staff . spacious accommodation with a sitting room and a separate bedroom each with their own TV and a balcony over looking beautiful landscaping . A real plus a car park. 10 minute walk from a wonderful restaurant ISTRONOS Greek Gastronomy with the most amazing food.

IrelandThe rooms look a bit bigger online than they really are, but still a very comfortable size The patio on the ground floor lacked privacy and it was awkward when other guests were right beside us in what I think should be a private area with dividers or plants etc One bar staff member was quite rude, she didn't seem to know the prices - we ordered the same round 3 times and we were charged different prices for each one (13 euro, 14.50, 15?) And she was on video call with her friends a lot. Not very approachable... **However the rest of the bar staff were absolutely lovely The breakfast could have included more fresh fruit, the sliced pan was stale one morning Our fridge in the room did not work very well The walls between rooms were very thin, we could hear chattering and music being played in the room beside us The pool closes too early (in my opinion) at 6pm
The reception staff were really lovely and helped us a great deal, including ordering a taxi to the airport when we left The pool was really nice and there were more than enough sunbeds for the time we were here The drinks at the pool bar were very tasty and great value The room was clean, bright and airy The cleaning service was very thorough and well timed The robes in our room were lovely Complimentary refreshments were a nice touch - drink upon arrival, fresh fruit and wine in our room! Our check out time was at 11 but we were more than welcome to use the facilities until we had to leave at 6pm that day - pool, outdoor shower, bar and restaurant The pool bar lunch food exceeded our expectations and it was actually nicer than some places we went to eat in Kos town for lunch The chef who cooked fresh pancakes, omelettes etc at breakfast was great and very friendly to us Overall a nice modern place
