Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandAvra and Manos were such lovely, welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We hadn’t fully done our research on the location and realised once we got there that we would need to rent a car. Avra was so helpful with this and with suggesting places to visit. Once you have a rental car, the location isn’t an issue. Also, our ferry from Paris was delayed and arrived at 10pm - this was no problem and Avra very kindly collected us. The room was spotless, the beds comfy and there was a table and chairs on a covered patio outside the room to enjoy on a hot day.

Manos informed us about the Must places that we should visit and when, it was much needed info from an insider.He gave us his contact details for any question or problem we might have, although we didn't need to because his initial briefing was more than complete. We would like to thank you for helping us to make our visit to Milos an unforgettable experience. We hope to see you again.

United Arab EmiratesAvra and her son Manos are both lovely and accommodating persons. They made sure our stay is comfortable. They can be contacted easily in case you need anything during your stay. The place was peaceful, clean and has basic amenities. The bed was comfortable. The location is a 3 minute drive from the airport. It was a very relaxing stay. Good value for money. Don't forget to say Hi to their cute dog!

We have stayed in accommodation on four different continents and by far Avra has been the kindest host. As a traveler herself, her understanding, compassion and effort is remarkable. As for the accommodation, a very clean and beautiful studio in a nicely centralized location on the island, from this quite village away from the crowds, you can easily reach the northern and the southern beaches and towns with a vehicle or ATV. Highly recommended!

Amazing hospitality. Upon arrival, they were flexible enough to let us check in 4 hours early given we had an early flight - and even before then, we left our bags at the reception. Rooms were very clean, with fresh towels every day. They sat to show us the island map with all the nice spots and things only locals know. We communicated with them on whatsapp regularly for tips and tricks and they were quickly responsive. Overall LOVED IT!!! Hope to be back again soon.

Love staying here and have done several times; it is almost like coming home to family. A lovely host (Avra) running simple (but comfortable) accomodation in a small and friendly village. Not for those seeking night-life (but then, would they be coming to Milos?) Avra Studios epitomes the friendly, relaxed ethos of the island. Seclude beaches, unspoiled environment, good food and friendly people are what Milos offers and, for a keen naturalist like me, it is what Paradise must have been like.

This property was spacious, clean, comfortable, and easy to get to via car. The owners were so friendly and left us a bottle of wine and water too during our stay. We were given a map of all the best places to visit which helped a lot for our short stay!

CanadaMy friend and I are both females travelling alone, so we felt safe knowing that Avra (the owner), was living in the same complex as us. Avra herself is super friendly, and she treated us like family. The suite was very cute, clean and spacious, I should also mention the water pressure in the shower was excellent!! Avra Sudios is located in the centre of the island, so we were able to reach everything within a 20 minute drive with the car (google maps predicted it would take longer, but the travel time was always less than their prediction!!) I would highly recomend staying there!

AustraliaThe property was well kept and had one of the best showers we had on the Greek islands. Avra was an amazing host, she went above and beyond to help us find a rental car (for a good price) for our stay. She picked us up from the port and made sure that we could contact her for anything we needed at all. She also put us in touch with her son Manos who organised a very last minute boat tour around the island for us! Avra gave great recommendations on what to do around the island, and made our stay enjoyable.
