Sometimes a bad smell was coming from the toilet. The drain in the shower and toilet was not working properly.

Just one or two minor things that I can't remember right now.. perhaps if the cleaning could be done a little bit earlier in the morning. But we know that there is a lot to do in the vast area like Avra^^

The location, the indications of the staff members, the somptuous pools even if the daylight does heat and burn if we didn't protect ourselves from the sunburn. The restaurants were great and the facilities also. The buffets at the Basilico's and Blue Dong's are convenient, pleasing and reach our expectations. There are so many good things of the stay at Avra Imperial to be remembered!

The room cleaning staff did not give a “5” impression at all the beds were not made well and nothing was replaced for example the shampoo

The entertainment is not good. Music in the evenings is slow pace and makes you sleepy. Dj played cheesy music and not what we were expecting. Also very strange service at check in, we asked how much it would be to upgrade from our suite to a pool suite and we were really brushed off. The man never bothered checking the price for us and seemed to find the check in quite confusing. We walked away without upgrading and felt a bit annoyed. It was strange that he didn’t want to take more of our money. However our room was lovely and we had a great time.

It’s a beautiful place with everything you need in a family holiday. Even as a couple you would really enjoy this place. House keeping are wonderful and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are absolutely fantastic!

The evening entertainment was really lacking unfortunately and thats the one thing that lets this property down. The live music was really nice but it puts you to sleep a bit. You need something more uplifting to keep people wanting to stay up and have a drink.

It’s a beautiful, clean and well equipped property. The food was fantastic and so were the drinks. The room was perfect and had everything we needed, house keeping were wonderful and very friendly. The staff in all areas were wonderful, helpful and attentive. We would definitely stay again.

Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Nothing bothered me enough to actually request or inform the hotel about but if I really need to pick staff that I would have changed - Vegetarian options were limited (but I managed easily since we could order room service, and the food was amazing) I was expecting a bath in the room ? . Maybe because the map photo of the room had one. I assumed wrong and was just a tiny bit disappointed, but the shower was spacious, and everything was great. Not a fan of orange scented shampoo and soap, but I survived (; Great work beacuse as I said everything was wonderful and those tiny things didn't matter to me that much

My mother celebrated her 60 birthday. They approved our early check-in, and my mom received a cake with a personalized note from the staff ! The staff were incredible ! Super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Everything was perfect. we loved the adults only section. The food was amazing. Never seen my mom so happy and carefree. We want to send our love to all the amazing staff : valentine at the reception, Ira that made us amazing drinks and was always so fun to chat with, the lovely staff at the spa reception and hair salon. Everyone really made our vacation a dream. Would love to go back.

Amazing restaurants, all meals very complete and full of options. Facilities are nice, tennis court, swimming pools, spa and gym. The greatest part of the trip was the staff - incredible nice people!

Food is very international in taste. Always good but sometimes you would go for something more sophisticated (Italian restaurant).

Beautiful wellness center and fantastic staff, we really appreciated our time in the SPA and all treatments. Swimming pool area is large and very beautiful all day long. Beach is nice as well, with a nice bar straight on top. Buffet is gorgeous and varied, restaurants are good (Asian). Staff is always very friendly and all people are polite. Overall, amazing experience we will try to replicate!

When I was there, admittedly just before the start of the main season, some of the on-site restaurants weren’t yet open and the hotel was overly quiet. Because these restaurants weren’t open, one night I asked if I could order room service but eat it at a table downstairs outside and the hotel failed to accommodate this saying they couldn’t, which I was surprised at.

Beautiful, modern and contemporary design throughout the hotel, the entire property had a lovely scent emanating throughout. Free on-site parking and incredible staff.

All restaurants and kids activities out booked 3 days in advance. For hot summer as it is AC barely catching up to cool the room. Room seems to have everything but it might not work, iron, kettle etc.

Location is secluded but you have everything you need on site. Pools amazing and private access to the beach. Food is good.

The only negative thing I would say the strong smell that emitted from the drainage every once in a while, and thats the only thing, otherwise everything was perfect.

Avra Imperial Hotel provided us with an exceptional service ranging from reception to housekeeping service, I received a fabulous treatment by the hotel staff they provided me with a meal at midnight due to arriving late. Adding to that they perfectly communicated via email, fast and useful responses that provided all of the necessary information regarding the shuttle service that was provided. The restaurants at the hotel were superb offering international and local cuisines that were so tasty, moreover the pool restaurant provided delicious drinks and spirits that just set the mood for the overall atmosphere of the pool, and during the week there were several activities varying from zumba classes and relaxing piano and jazz performances. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and unique !!!

From check-in to check-out, our experience at the Avra Imperial Hotel was absolutely amazing. We stayed here for only three nights, but we enjoyed every moment. Our initial booking was a Deluxe room with a shared pool, but during check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Deluxe suite with a private pool. Our room was excellent, featuring two bathrooms, an amazing private pool, a coffee maker, a fully stocked mini bar, and a comfortable bed. One of the highlights of our stay was the buffet breakfast and lunch. The variety of meals offered was impressive, ranging from different kinds of seafood and meat to fresh fruits, salads, and a wide selection of desserts. We believe everyone will find something to suit their taste here. The hotel also boasts three different restaurants, and one night we decided to dine at the Mediterranean restaurant. The service was outstanding, and the dinner was delicious. We also enjoyed spending time in the common swimming pool area, which was not only beautiful but also well-maintained. The overall service quality at the hotel was excellent. All the employees were service-oriented, polite, and always willing to provide recommendations and cater to our interests as guests. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone, and we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to visit Avra Imperial Hotel again in the near future.

I didn’t care for the location. It is in the middle of a small village without much around you. You need a car if you’re staying here. The beach it is across from isn’t sandy nor is it the reason you’re coming to Chania. The food in the buffet for breakfast is fine but the dinner is pretty mediocre. The gym is very disappointing. For a resort this size it should have more equipment and definitely more treadmills.

Staff is super friendly, very clean hotel with lots of pools. It is across a quiet street from a pebbly somewhat mediocre beach. I was rather surprised there weren’t that many resorts in Chania so if you’re looking for one that is well priced and suitable for a family this is a good choice.

We have an amazing room with a private pool but it was not in the sun. the whole outside area was in the shade so I couldn’t sun bath and the pool was very cold because of it. We have small children who couldn’t stay in the private pool for very long. This meant we didn’t use the private pool as much as we wanted to. We felt like we wasted money on that.

It was beautiful, everywhere you go was clean and relaxing. The staff where all lovely and helpful.

Our stay at Avra Imperial far exceeded expectations. The hotel is incredible. It is extremely luxurious and great for couples. The facilities are second to none and the food is fantastic. On arrival we were given a free room upgrade and the staff were great and very friendly/helpful in every way. We hired a car from the in-house concierge which was very useful. Spa facilities and treatments are amazing. Would 100% recommend!
