Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it was an exceptional experience. The location is superb, providing easy access to all the key attractions in the area. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. This place truly felt like a piece of heaven on earth. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable and delightful stay.

United KingdomStayed 17 - 21 May 2024. AIRPORT DRIVE - We rented a car - extremely easy drive from the airport and plenty of parking at the proeprty. ARRIVAL - We arrived late Friday evening (around 9 or 10pm) - if you’re doing the same, don’t arrive hungry (we should’ve brought food or stopped in the town shortly after leaving the airport to eat as there are no nearby open restaurants / shops at that time!) Very easy check-in process, our key was just in an envelope with a welcome letter. LOCATION - very quiet area, it’s not a tourist town. It was incredibly peaceful. Coming from busy London, it felt like the most incredible luxury to sit out on the terrace, with a beautiful view, and start the day slowly with a lovely breakfast. The beach was about a 20 minute leisurely walk (easy to drive too). The beach is small - has about 20 parasols but we easily found a spot each day we went. There is a place on the beach to get food and drinks too - serves very nice fish dishes (of course!). We drove to Rhodes Town one day - again very easy drive (less than an hour) and the roads are not busy at all. There are a handful of restaurants in the area (about a five min drive) - all very good food. ROOM - we had one of the smaller rooms, the terrace is the showstopper, absolutely divine spending mornings there! Our bed was sort of in a loft space and it was very warm - but fine once the aircon was on. If you’re thinking of having someone sleep downstairs on the sofa then they will likely be chilly a lot quicker than you due to aircon! ATMOSPHERE - we often had breakfast on the terrace (8:30 - 10am) with the other guests (mostly couples). Everyone there clearly valued the same peacefulness of the resort and everyone was very friendly (one older couple had visited three times because they loved it so much). FOOD - the reviews are right, the food is incredible. We were only there for one night when the owners cooked but the moussaka (veg and pork versions) were divine!

The scenery is beautiful. The place and its facilities are well maintained, and the room is designed so tastefully! Breakfast varies each day and is excellent. If there is a chance of having dinner, I highly recommend it! The beach is a walking distance and has a small tavern next to it. Ulrike & Ioannis are the perfect hosts with good recommendations to travel around. We had a perfect stay! Home away from home!

United StatesLovely, friendly, and hospitable hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. The accommodation and breakfast were both fantastic and the view from the property was amazing. Would happily recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing stay in Rhodes away from the busier, more touristic parts of the island.

Czech Republic- Can be quite far from other beaches, it was not really a problem for us
- Peaceful, far enough from the stupid nonsense like quads and other tourist traps - Very nice local beach that can get quite crowded quite quickly, so come after breakfast to get your free sunbeds and umbrella - Breakfast and amenities are very good - Some very good tavernas nearby - Massage provided onsite was reaspnably priced and very very good - The views!

NetherlandsNothing! The Auberge is even better than the pictures, I would not hesitate to book!
We absolutely adored our stay at Auberge Kalopetri and this is an accommodation we’d go back to in a heartbeat. Everything is just perfect; from the location (breathtaking view, short walk to the cutest beach, short drive to other towns and kite beaches) to the food (don’t hesitate to stay for dinner when the hosts are cooking!!) and the comfortable beds in very clean and well maintained rooms. This place is managed with love and attention to detail, and you can sense that in every aspect of your stay. Oh and we can definitely recommend the massage!
