Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CyprusThe Art Suites Athens are located on a pedestrian street with a lot of noice from the nearby restaurants/ cafés/ bars, especially during weekends.
The Art Suites Athens are located in a quite central area of Athens, near the Athens Music Hall (Megaron), easily accessible via metro.

SwitzerlandThe floor must have flooded before. There are things taped up on the walls in the bathroom, and the bathroom door didn't close. They don't offer breakfast and didn't really want to keep our bags for us after we checked out but we manged to get a yes.
It's a nice apartment and the size is great but it's very tired and really needs some work. It is a great location and it's good for families as the room is big. Pool is cute but too deep for small kids.

AustraliaThere were no mosquito screens and the furniture has seen better days Could not open the drawers of the bedside tables for example. The fridge was in its last legs, the door had to be pushed many times to close. There were some pots and pans and utensils to cook with but there was one fork only, for example and if you wanted to fry an egg there was nothing to do that with either. They were quick to respond to another request I had, so I suppose I could have asked. The situation with the hot water was also a bit hit and miss.
There was a lot of space for the price and the bed was comfortable The balcony was huge with chairs and a table and quiet because there is a pedestrian street underneath with trees. Not much of a view, except you can see Mt Hymettus and a very green balcony opposite. Modern Athens is like that, it’s not beautiful. it’s close to many cafes and restaurants and very close to the Metro. It’s the line that takes you directly to the airport at Megaro station and the centre of town to Syntagma. There are many busses close by too. The pool was clean and I could hear people were having fun.

GermanyThe wireless is really totally unstable and too weak to use for a business trip. It was actually unusable - in 2022 this is really like having no warm water! The tv had only Greek-speaking stations plus the BBC News, that's way below standard. The receptionist was a nice guy but he spoke next to no English, I don't speak Greek, and there was just this 1 person available. This did really not help a lot.
The bathroom was very spacious as was the entire apartment. Actually this must have been a family room instead of a single. The surroundings have some good restaurants and bars in immediate reach which was ok for me, but if you want to stay in the city centre this is obviously not the place to be.

GreeceGenerally the hotel had a clear picture of abandonment, very sufficient from the reception and the lobby to the room lock, the poorly maintained and old room furniture (seemed at least 20 years old), faded white appliances, everything working properly though. It had only 1 wardrobe and the locker/safe wasn't working. The road is a bit dark at night and may cause some insecurity but the neighborhood is generally safe. Morning and working hours has a lot of people and markets.
Value for Money, especially if you're planning to use it only for sleeping. Very close (walking distance) to the city center and most of the monuments and sites to visit in Athens. About 7' walk from the metro station and 3' walk from one of the largest and most central highways of Athens (buses, taxis etc.), the Music Hall, the American Embassy and the Mavili square with lots of modern bars, restaurants and street food. The room was very big for a hotel, more like a small apartment. 1 double bed, 2 single beds and 1 convertible couch, could sleep up to 6 people. Big bathroom too with a douche and a jacuzzi.

SwitzerlandThere is no real Reception and you wonder who might have entered into the building, particularly during night time. The lights in the balconies do not work. The door of the bathroom is swollen from humidity and does not move. The shower drain was dirty. I did not dare to use the bathtub.
This is not really a hotel; it is more like renting a little apartment. The original plan was good, but there has been no maintenance and everything is rundown. The only good thing is that the apartments are quite spacious.
