Did not tell us about not cleaning room on Sunday. No one was at the reception area to ask for directions or things to do. Wanted to take local bus to explore but could not find anyone to help

There is a perfect AC, but if you prefer openning the windows, wape or similar tool is needed at night against mosquitos. A mosquito net would be useful. Other than that, everything is was perfect.

We stayed at a seaview room, the balcony was literally overlooking the sea. Staff were very friendly and very flexible at check-in. Restaurant was great, superb breakfast, very tasty dishes on menu.

Located right on the beach with all of Plantanias bustle and busy life just around the corner, this small, quiet, family driven hotel has everything you need for a pleasant and restful stay: a welcoming and super-helpful staff; beach view restaurant with great food, a small clean pool with sunbeds, and spacious rooms. Absolutely nothing!

Everything at Ariadne Beach was exceptional: the room was spacious and quiet, the bed was comfy, the WiFi strong. The breakfast was amazingly delicious and eating by the beach is a balm for the soul. We also ate dinner at the restaurant most evenings because it simply was the best food we ate during our stay in Crete! The staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly, and made us feel truly welcome as if we were part of the family.

The toilet did not flush properly, the kitchen is small and a little broken (the top is not straight so the water goes to the other side), not enough kitchen tools for everything and ther eis no kettle.

Comfortable bed, enough blankets in case you are cold, a nice balcony with a view to the pool and big windows. Also a big balcony connecting two rooms. Quite and comfortable for couples or family.

Fantastic location, the restaurant overlooked the beach and you could sip drinks with the sound of the waves. The room was large and fully equipped.

If you are looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable, old-fashioned but with modern facilities, welcoming accommodation then Ariadne Beach is for you. Communication was good and our requests were taken into consideration. Easy check-in and check-out. Very nice breakfast with freshly cooked eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, sweets …. Standard apartment 20 was spacious and pleasant; huge balcony with part of it sunny and another part in shadow all day was a bonus. Bathroom was on a smaller side, but well-organised and water pressure was great. Excellent Internet. Caring and professional staff. We had a minor problem with drainage in the shower and it was fixed immediately (in less than 2 hours everything was perfect). All in all, highly recommended hotel in the middle of Platanias.
