This was our second stay at Hotel Ardamis. It is beyond magnificent. A perfect location in Monavasia. We had a three story townhouse with a small kitchen. Beautiful huge bathroom and a fabulous bedroom and comfy bed.

Monemvassia is a very special place and it is always a pleasure to enjoy the special byzantine atmosphere of any of the Ardamis apartment rooms. It is not a regular hotel and things like breakfast are taken in one of the establishments on the main east wet path running through the town.

Minor niggle - lighting in the room was a little complicated. But don't let this put you off staying here!

Good location. Quirky room with narrow staircase leading to upstairs kitchenette, living area and balcony. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

    Everything was perfect

A stunning historic property in this delightful town. An original stone building, sensitively converted. We had not merely a room but a large suite (we hadn't requested) only steps from the sea wall at the bottom of the town. Not far from the entrance gates, which helps because one must bring one's luggage by foot through the city due to understandable traffic restrictions in this historic old town. The property was beautiful and tasteful. We were so sorry we could only stay one night and would love to go back.

Good location, wonderful hosts, and tastefully appointed, 2-level property. Great terrace on upper level (where the bedroom is) with sea views. We've spent only a day there but I can easily see ourselves spending a whole lot more, just lazily watchting the world goes by... Very, very nice place.

    Nothing.

Monemvasia is one of the most stunning places my wife and I have ever been, a mysterious citadel with a long history and astonishing vistas. To stay in the old town is a true privilege. Our room at Ardamis, a medieval stone structure that has been carefully and lovingly turned into a hotel, was a duplex that featured a second-floor terrace with fantastic sea views and a spacious first floor with a raised bed and delightful décor. We loved our stay at Ardamis!

The absence of physical light. The apartment is dark as there are only two small windows. There is not a private balcony just a common yard.

The apartment is spacious, clean with traditional furniture. Beds are very comfortable. Its ideally for families. The owners are very kind. Its pretty close to main castle entrance.

Everything! The owners are very kind, they kept our laggage ater check-out and allowed an early check-in.. The place is just magic! So carefully decorated, with a lot of lighting scenarios, just in the ancient city centre and with an amazing terrace! The bed was so comfortable, and the where even Christmas tree nicely decorated! It was just an amazing stay!

Best hotel and location of our 15 day Greece trip
    • Leisure trip

Need to use a luggage cart person to get from medieval walled village gate to the hotel but well worth the about 5 euros cost. On street parking about 860 meters from the village entry gate. Best of 8 locations we stayed at in small hotels in our Greece 15 day trip.

Beautiful 2 large rooms with bedroom area and large sitting room. Both rooms with barrel vault stone ceilings. Very walls are exterior walls and no room above for a quiet stay with no neighbors. Outside door door to patio. A different outside entry door about 50 meters to medieval town wall and view over wall to ocean. Parking on narrow road about 860 meters from village medieval entry gate. No motor vehicles within medieval walled village. Drop off luggage at medieval wall gate, park car, then pay about 5 euros for luggage cart man or young man to carry luggage to Ardamis. Owners nicely paid for luggage to be brought to village gate at check-out time. Note rough cobblestone lanes in village and gradual steps up or down. Good location for 1 overnight stay to better appreciate this medieval walled village situated on the slope of a mountain facing the sea. Fun to stay after day trip tourists have left that were bused to the village. Friendly older couple live on the premises.
