Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation is a little far along a main road (15mins walk) if you prefer to be in the center. But it was OK for us.
We loved staying at Archetypo. George is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about Naxos. He gave us free transfers to and from the apartment. There are bikes to use for free and we rented a car direct from George which was much simpler than going to a rental place. The apartment was decorated lovely, and the terrace was a great space to have. Would be a nice touch to put some sunbeds or a bbq on the terrace as it's a big area. Breakfast was a lovely touch brought to your room, and so much variety of food! Location is a bit out of town (15-20mins walk) so if you don't mind walking then it's fine. Would definitely reccomend staying here!

CanadaA little far from the city center (walking distance as we didn't rent transportation), but with a car or ATV would not have been an issue at all
George and his family were exceptional hosts. George met us at the Port to pick us up (no charge), provided a mini tour of the city on our drive to the accommodation, and also stored our bags on checkout day before once again providing a free ride to our next ferry

United KingdomThere isn't anything we didn't like and we would return to this Villa if we visited Naxos again. However, there are some things we think were missing that would help elevate the villa even further. These missing things did not impact the quality of our stay or our opinion of the villa or family who run it. The things include: - Supply of more hangers (each room only had about 6 and we had to go out and buy more - we were a group of 4 who stayed for 8 nights, so 3 hangers per person wasn't enough). - Supply of 2 no. keys on arrival (we did ask for a second, and we're given one, but it would have been ideal if we'd have been given them both at the start). - A lock on the gate for extra security. - Supply of a tea towel in the kitchen (again this is something we went and bought). - An extra step on the pool ladder as you are getting in (my mum had recently just had a knee operation and she found it difficult to get in / out of the pool, and on one occasion when she was getting out she couldn't find the step and fell onto her operated knee). - Some of the screws within the wooden decking are protruding from the wood and could stump a toe or two. - Shower hose could have a higher hook to allow for easier showering. - Cubby hole in the bathroom (under the stairs) would be a perfect place for a washing machine.
We loved the villa and I was sad to leave. The bedrooms were super comfortable and every night we slept amazingly. I would love to know where they got the pillows so I could buy some for my home. The 2 bedrooms are on different sides of the villa allowing for extra privacy and despite the villa being on a main road you couldn't hear anything at night. Overall, we were really impressed with how well we slept. The kitchen was well equipped and had almost everything you needed. You had 2 no. coffee machines to choose from, the fridge was large, and there were plenty of plates and dishes. All the rooms were air conditioned and could be well ventilated using the windows. Every window had a retractable bug screen so you never needed to worry about bugs getting in. The shower had good water pressure, the bath drained quickly, and the toiletries supplied were nicely scented. The outside space was just divine and we spent a lot of time here, particularly around the pool. The space feels really private and you don't feel overlooked at any point. The pool was a good size for cooling off and playing around in for a bit. We loved having our breakfast on the outside table in the morning and the benched area was perfect for a game of chess. The hospitality of the owners was really good and every morning you got your breakfast basket delivered by a member on the family. On arrival the son checked us in and gave us a good overview of the island. The villa was very clean throughout and it could cleaned daily by the maid who did a very good job each time. Overall, we really felt at home in this villa and would love to return

RomaniaRent a car, if you don’t come by car in Naxos. Although the best beaches and Naxos Town are fairly manageable from the villa by walking & by bus - departure station at 15 minutes distance from the villa by foot, arrival at 5 minutes distance by foot, but the road is a little bit shabby and there are portions with no sidewalk - it could be sometimes a little bit difficult to get through the beaches, the Chora or villages in the middle of the island.
What can I say to reflect the reality as much as possible? Absolutely fantastic accommodation in Naxos, a vintage charm villa from the 1800’s that can easily accommodate 6-7 people, with all possible facilities at your disposal, an excellent, different breakfast delivered every morning on the terrace, a small, but more than enough private pool, fabulous and inviting courtyard that made the evenings memorable, superb staff that picked us up from the port and drove us there at our departure, great attention to details inside and outside the house, daily cleaning, top mattresses, and the feeling of recharging your batteries present all the way. So it was kind of perfect, could even say it was the best accommodation we have stayed in Greece - and we did try quite few - so glad we found it available on Booking :) and that we were able to spend some quality time there, in beautiful Naxos. Missing it already 🥹

Everything about our stay at Archetypo was incredible. The family were so accommodating and we really felt like part of the family for our stay. Mina and George were incredible and made the stay very special. George as a local was extremely knowledgable about pretty much everything and anything on the island and we got some really good recommendations for activities and locations which were away from the crowds. He was also more than happy to give us lifts places if he wasn't busy which made things really easy. The car rental offered was really reasonable and allowed us to get all over the island which was very special, and allowed us to check out the local villages and more remote locations. Breakfast was always delivered to our outdoor space whenever we wanted and was always delicious - a great way to start the day! Finally, the room was absolutely beautiful. It was really nicely decorated and felt very calm and peaceful. The hot tub was a great addition as well, and we enjoyed a few glasses of wine relaxing after a long day in there! Overall a really wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

United KingdomWe count our blessings: we felt overwhelming gratitude when we set foot in Archetypo Villa. While it's just a 15-minute walk to Kastro or the famous Saint George Beach, the Villa itself is nestled in a more authentic and less touristic part of Naxos Town (Chora) compared to the bustling port area; this gave us a genuine taste of Naxian life and provided a perfect backdrop for a truly immersive Greek experience. The Villa is a typical example of local architecture from 200 years ago. As designers ourselves, we were captivated by the Villa's unique character: distinct from the typical Cycladic white and blue, it blends its Byzantine flair, earthy tones and design-led decor with the island's natural beauty—a testament to the rich history of Naxos. But what sets Archetypo Villa apart is its soul—the Archetypo family. Mina, Stelios, Geiorge, and Adonis welcomed us with the kind of warmth quintessentially Greek. Their hospitality (or "philoxeníā" in Greek) went beyond pleasantries. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced with open arms and treated not as guests but as special family members. From George's kind pick-ups from the port to Mina's delightful breakfast spreads setting the tone for our day ahead, every gesture reflected their generosity and love for their guests. It's an age-old Greek tradition passed down through generations, and the Archetypo family embodies it beautifully. Archetypo Villa is not just a place to stay; it's an experience, a memory, a piece of heart left behind. To Mina, Stelios, George, and Adonis - thank you for making our visit unforgettable. We carry a part of Archetypo Villa in our hearts and can't wait to return.

United StatesNothing. Everything was perfect! Would recommend getting a rental car, as the walk to down could be a bit long with small children.
Everything about the experience of staying at this property made us feel so special. The owners were incredibly welcoming and generous, from shuttling us from the port, to brining us food from their restaurant (which they would not let us pay for), to the incredible breakfasts made fresh each morning with special touches for our toddler. The pool and patio are gorgeous areas for relaxing and eating meals, along with the wonderfully decorated indoor space, complete with comfortable beds, ample space for relaxing, and well-functioning kitchen. Archetypo Villas made us fall in love with Naxos and we will be sure to return in the future.

You cannot find more hospitable, kind and generous people than this family. They know what it means to take care of their guests and go the extra mile. The food was outstanding and the accommodation stunning!! This family did whatever they could to not disappoint. Wow, truly a gift from God and we can't wait to return. The location was fantastic. If we could, we would give them a 10 star rating. Thank you from our two families of six people each.

AustriaWe wanted to stay somewhere special for the end of our holidays in Greece and Archetypo exceeded our expectations. George was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated and the private jacuzzi was working as intended. Our personal highlight was the daily breakfast, which was out of this world amazing and got brought to our room at the time we wished. And all of that for a really fair price. We truly felt like queens for 3 days and can't wait to come back in the future!

The pool was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens). FranceI'm a really picky customer usually... and yet can't find anything negative to say about Archetypo's!
We loved everything about our stay at the Archetypo's Family ! - Everyone took care of us so well (they came to pick us up from the port, and also dropped us when we left!). Also, the check-in was really great, George took the time to advise us on where to go, which places to see, how to walk from one point to another... - Breakfast was absolutely delicious and designed in a very handmade and authentic manner (fresh bakeries and fruits, organic and local products like honey, yoghurt...). - Good location (the walking distance from the city center is around 15 minutes) - And of course, there's the accommodation itself... A true heaven! Our room was brand new and very well decorated, we could feel extreme attention to detail. Not to mention the bed, which was particularly comfortable (as comfortable as any bed in any Sofitel!) In short: if you come to Naxos, you have to go there!
