Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThere is no playground (there used to be one). There is a security light in the room that disturbs a bit (most people won't be bothered by it though).
Free roaming dogs, cats, lizards and horses...you either love them or you hate them. We loved them. The host is a very interesting and welcoming person. The ambiente is simple and nice. Very relaxing, like making a small time travel.Breakfast is good.

IsraelIn the specific room we were in, the bathroom could have been slightly upgraded. Beyond that there is nothing
amazing place. The view of the surroundings and the renovated buildings are simply beautiful. Maria is a nice woman who cares from the bottom of her heart. She definitely made a pleasant and family atmosphere for us there The breakfast is delicious and nothing was missing. Excellent location for families and lovers of peace and nature.

Maria, the owner of the guesthouse is by far the warmest host I've met. I was treated like family and we'd share laughters when we see each other. The guesthouse is surrounded by animals and trails as well, so perfect for families and hikers. I really really enjoyed my experience there. Will return 100%.

LithuaniaBreakfast selection could be better, but it was not a big problem because of a place
It is an amazing location on the countryside, exceptional calm place, where you can see natural beauty of Greece: farmers fields, sheep etc.

United StatesHost was nice, but it would have been difficult to communicate with her if my husband didn't speak Greek. Since she studied in France, I assume she speaks French well, though. We were expected to eat dinner there, even though we hadn't planned on doing that. Host made one home-cooked meal for all of us, which was delicious, but the portions were massive, and we didn't want to let any meat go to waste. Most pork I've ever eaten in my life.
The puppies and kittens! Horses in the yard. Goats across (and in) the street. Rooms, dining area, and shared spaces were beautifully designed in rustic style, by the host herself, who studied architecture in Paris. Delicious home-cooked meal (not included). Very reasonably priced, including wine.

Austriaeverything is perfect at maria´s place!!!
this is one of the best places we have ever been! maria, the host, is incredible. the rooms are in several houses within the area, there are dogs, cats and horses. the breakfast is fantastic and maria also made us lunch one day! also she invited us to wine and other drinks several times, had good travel tips and has interesting stories to tell. she is an architect too. you can see that the way the houses and the rooms are made. the place is close to karyes and other beautiful mountain villages. everybody should stay there at least once, if in peloponnes.

GreeceIt would be an understatement to talk about host Maria's hospitality. She runs the place so conveniently, it's animal friendly and it is perhaps the best place for retreat you're going to find in this area. She made us feel like home in nature. I will definitely come again.

The location is very nice, in the nature. The owner, Maria, is an architect and she restored all carefully with the local traditional taste. The room with a rock inside is amazing! We had 2 breakfasts and 2 dinner with local products , wild pork , good wine! Maria is an amazing cook! We highly recomanded this place

Germanya place for individualists. In the middle of the mountains of Greece an oasis of calm and relaxation. The accommodation leaves nothing to be desired. everything is clean and tidy, the breakfast is plentiful. The hostess is helpful. The next town is only a few kilometers away and has good restaurants and shops. To be recommended at any time!

GreeceWe were placed in a room without an air condition even though we have booked a room with air condition. We had to ask for it and changed room on the second day. The second room, we were placed in, had no refrigerator. The double bed has two single mattresses and not one big mattress. The owner smokes in the kitchen and the indoors dining room, while guests are having breakfast. The free roaming horses are aggressive and dangerous. I was attacked by one of them. The free roaming cats and dogs are in a very poor condition, they look very sick and they are starving.
The location is good.

AustraliaThe location was bizarre. The bed was as uncomfortable as I’ve ever slept on. There was no airconditioning on a 38 degree day, and 70 Euros is far, far too expensive for a guesthouse with 40 year old beds and no aircon.
Maria was a lovely host who probably works too hard with no other staff to help. The resident animals were cool.

GreeceThe communication with the host was a bit difficult/absent that night, she was facing some issues and there was a misunderstanding that left our room without warm water. it was solved the next morning after we talked again to her, and finally we had our shower
The location is amazing, the place is very beautifully constructed, rustic style, cozy, like a mountain refuge. The room is beautiful. Breakfast is plentiful and was included in the price.

AustraliaSo unprofessional to not meet or even respond to a confirmed and pre-paid guest. If I could give zero stars I would.
Despite arriving at the confirmed time no one was there to meet me. I messaged, called and text multiple times without response. The Booking staff also could get a response from the property. Finally I left, as it was dark and getting colder and there are no facilities near this property, it is 30 minutes to the nearest town.
