Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot enough sunbeds at the pool, they were very spaced out and could easily have been half again, you couldn’t get a space after 9am, had to use the beach which wasn’t always my preference, only got to the pool 2 days out of 10!
The location was great, opposite the beach and a 10 minute walk to the old town, supermarkets, bars and restaurants all around

PolandNothing. The only problem is parking spaces nearby, but that's not the hotel's fault.
Very good location, right next to the beach. Close to the old city center. Hotel with 2 outdoor and 1 indoor swimming pools. Large room, with a balcony and a sea view. Comfortable, large bed. Very clean. Comfortable bathroom. A bottle of wine and a capsule coffee machine in the room were a nice addition. Very good breakfast. Very good and polite service. If I can, I will also choose this hotel next time.

United KingdomI was surprised to learn that it was against hotel policy to lend guests irons for "safety reasons" despite the presence of a hair dryer, coffee machine and kettle in the room, all of which pose their safety risks as electronic devices. This was the first time I'd ever encountered a no-iron policy in a hotel in the 40 countries I've visited in my time on this planet. I suspect if irons were left on in the hotel rooms in the past risking a fire, a better solution would have been to supply irons with automatic shut-off features if left unattended or inform guests ahead of time rather than have us arrive with no way to iron our shirts for business meetings the following day. There was no next-day turnaround as the only option was to pay 4 euros for a two-day shirt-iron turnaround time or purchase my own iron. Needless to say, I had to attend with a wrinkled shirt. Also, some of the outlets in the room didn't work very well. It would have also been good to have a sliding door between the room entrance/toilet/shower/sink area and the bed/sitting area for additional privacy and to dampen corridor noise at night.
The staff members, for the most part, were amazing and greeted us well upon arrival, and I felt very welcome. The room was large and had a sea view, as you asked, with a balcony, and the sink, toilet and shower were all independently accessible. There was a good-sized safe for valuables, including electronics like laptops/tablets. There was also a brand-new L'or coffee machine. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a fantastic range of treats. The proximity to the beach was unbeatable, such that guests from other hotels used sun loungers and umbrellas. March is low season so it wasn't a problem, but the staff acted on it and charged visitors a fee to ensure hotel guests were not left wanting a spot on the beach.

United KingdomThe interconnecting doors might need better soundproofing if you had moody neighbours in the next door room, which luckily we didn’t.
It was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Nice and quiet. But with lovely atmosphere and gentle music into the evening and from 9.30am drifting up to our room from the bar. We could also experience the live music every night from the bar or even from our own balcony if we felt tired and like staying in our room. The entertainment was really good. The breakfast buffet was very good, so much choice of full English/ hot items with a great selection of continental and local Greek dishes and sauces and syrups to sample. There was bottomless refills of tasty sparkling wine every morning too. With an option of late breakfasts til 11am if you want to lay in. My daughter needed a gluten free and dairy free diet which they catered for well by labelling allergens clearly by each dish/dip/juice etc. In fact the detailed labelling and extensive choice of foods and quality made it so easy and fun and good value that we chose to eat dinner at the hotel most nights. I would definitely consider going all inclusive next time (if you have a big appetite) which would include all alcoholic drinks, snacks and local delicious goats milk ice cream which you are able to order from the free sun loungers at the beach which is right opposite the hotel and really clean and beautiful overlooking the old harbour and sparkling lights of the bay. The town itself was happy and buzzy even in late October, my teenager liked the shopping opportunities in the old town and I liked the old fort, churches, lighthouse and pretty streets. I can recommend booking the taxi from the airport with booking.com, it makes for the quickest, most luxury way to get straight to the hotel/airport on time and in comfort. I always use this facility and it takes the stress out of travelling (they track your flight so even when you’re an hour late they have been waiting with a name board and smile when you come through departures.

IrelandNothing we didn't like.
The hotel is in the perfect setting close to the old town and across the road from a lovely beach. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and made you feel welcome. The breakfast was lovely with a good selection of food and was constantly being replenished. We had a spa treatment and thoroughly enjoyed that. Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel and the extras like a cold juice on the beach each morning were an example of the added extra touches.

Amazing place, ideally located. Breakfast options were above expectation with broad variety of options & excellent quality. Hotel is optimal for walks to and on the beach as well as near many attractions and old town. Staff were friendly and willing to do the extra mile in service in "out of the box" requests. To top that they make one of the best Bloody Mary Cocktails I've tasted even compared to awarded bars.

The service was 5 star. From the minute we walked in we were greeted with a fresh orange juice, a wet face towel as it was an uncomfortably hot day and a glass of water. Our bags were trolley up to our room. We were upgraded and our view was special. Location was great. Free entertainment every night. Every morning there was an impressive breakfast spogaaboard to choose from. Staff were impeccable. Pools were inviting. They have is a lovely little gift upon departure. Main market was a 15 min walk. Banana lounges were inclusive. They gave us complimentary watermelon on the beach. 10/10

AustriaIt is such a shame that the road between the hotel and the beach has not yet been pedestrianised. If it were done and the often noisy traffic re-routed to the rear, it would mean a vast improvement for visitors, the hotel and the surrounding restaurants alike, especially if they were allowed an extra line of outdoor seating. The hotel's main pool on the first floor has a wonderful view, yet is so small and not enticing enough to warrant swopping a sunlounger on the beach for. In the room we had on the sixth floor, the safe was not fixed to the wall and therefore it and its contents could be easily removed. It needs to be bolted to at least the wardrobe, if not the wall! Much of the hallway carpeting outside of the rooms needs a good clean sometime soon! The lift system has room for improvement, as without an up or a down lift-request button guests are forever hopping into a lift that is on its way in the opposite direction.
The reservations team have earned the 10 on this review - for accommodating my several changes in the booking prior to arrival, even though they could have refused to do so. That was much appreciated, so a big thank you to them! The hotel is nicely located by the beach on which there are more than enough sun-beds for all. The front desk was always well-staffed, so no waiting for assistance. There are numerous restaurants and shops close by and the old town and port are a pleasant 10-15 minute walk away. The breakfast was pleasant, the staff friendly and the Sunday morning live music was a delight to hear. The outside bar for late-night drinks was lovely too.

United KingdomIt’s sadly quite competitive for a lounge by the pool, but there are plenty on the beach. We only had the breakfast included, and opted for dinner one night, unfortunately the food options left a lot to be desired and choices were pretty average (definitely recommend going into town for some great restaurants instead).
The room was fantastic, comfy and clean with a great view of the beach. The location is also great as it was a short walk into the Old Town, and close to many shops.
