The location of the Amalia was absolutely AMAZING! We were in the center of EVERYTHING and could walk to the Plaka, the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum and many other attractions. (Nothing was more than a 15 minute walk!) It is also across from a beautiful park. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean...(knit-picking, but the carpet could use a refresh in our room), the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. Oh, and the AIR CONDITIONING was awesome in the 100F heat wave! We had a balcony and a noisy, but beautiful, view of the main street below and the park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Athens.

The low beds could've been higher.

Comfy, clean room with a balcony and view of the Acropolis. Could not ask for more as other hotels with views would have cost much more. Joined tours which left from Amalia this made things very convenient as I only had a day to explore Athens.

The hotel is in a very central location. The facilities are exceptional. The panoramic view from the rooftop restaurant is breathtaking. The breakfast buffet is a wonderful start to the day with a great variety and selection of fresh food. But by far the most outstanding thing about the Amalia hotel is the staff. My companion broke their arm in Naxos and required emergency surgery back in Athens. When I advised the staff at the Amalia of this they went out of their way to help me in any way they could. They were always conscious of checking I was ok. I will not forget their kindness. Exceptional in every way.

The rooftop restaurant pricing wasn’t exactly cost effective, but you’re paying for the view!

Located across the street from the nicest park we’ve walked through in a long time, and the Parliament Building ( don’t miss changing of the guards). The Acropolis Museum, Acropolis and Parthenon are all within a short walking distance. Restaurant rows, shopping and culture abound along adjacent streets. Breakfast was fantastic! Staff were friendly and helpful.

The only bad thing is the room with terrace facing the main street. With unbearable traffic noise all day long, it was very hard for me to sleep. Also the lobby is really a disappointment for 4 star hotel. It doesn't look welcoming.

Staff is really nice and friendly. We arrived Athen by overnight flight from New York and they found rooms for us right the way. Everyday we return, the room was cleaned. The location is super convenient, in the close proximity to several major tourist districts: Praka, Syntagma, Kolonaki and Acropolis, and face the Athen's "central park". We literally walked everywhere. The room is airy and large. New restauant on the roof offeres drinks and pretty decent modern Greek cruisine.
