Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI had a bad fall coming out of the swimming pool into the toilets with a highly polished floor and am still recovering two weeks later. Although the staff looked after me and took me to the medical centre I feel that the floor is a health and safety hazard and there should be non slip mats in there as the same could happen to someone else and could be worse next time
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff

United KingdomNothing we loved it. There are some comments about it needing updating but we thought it had charm and faded glamour
Located about 5 minutes from the town promenade. The hotel is spacious and clean with a lovely pool and bar area quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious with a view of the mountains, very quiet with excellent air con and a kettle and coffee machine and toiletries. We were very impressed for the bargain price we paid and would definitely stay here again. The staff were friendly and helpful.

ItalyMorning traffic is noisy, but this is the 'position compromise' you have to pay
The position was fairly good. 5 mins walk for the Skopelos Town center. The room was well equipped and cleaned perfectly daily by the local personnel. The staff at the reception has been very keen on any request and even in the case of a bee puncture my wife occured on Admantos beach, the service from the hotel has been prompt and effective. Indeed a postive stay feeling also the authentic Greece at the Bar of the pool.

United KingdomWe loved everything about this hotel
Hotel is gorgeous. A few steps from the port. Opposite there is a supermarket. The pool bar (new addition) offeres great fresh food at very good prices. We enjoyed Costa s cocktails and fresh hamburgers. Staff was always attentive and helpful. Special mention to Alexandra for being so kind and informative. This hotel is great value. Pool towels given. Spotless clean. Amazing location. We had the best time.

United KingdomWe chose to not take the optional breakfast as we thought it was a bit pricey but bought yoghurts and fruit or bougatsa from across the road.
Literally less than 5mins walk into town and yet quiet for us (our two rooms 205, a family suite, and 207 faced the back of the hotel and overlooked a large lush neighbouring garden - might be noisier for those rooms facing the main road). Coffee bar and bakery across the road, as was a supermarket. Delightful pool area had tables and chairs both in sunshine and shade. 10 sun loungers, great bar with a selection of food. Costas the barman was the most knowledgeable cocktail maker, telling us about different spirits and combinations and also made brilliant cafe freddos. We spent quite a few evenings drinking cocktails made by Costas either before or after dinner. All the staff were very friendly.

Amalia hotel was a great choice! Very friendly staff, modern appearance, beautiful and spacious lobby, everything shines in white… Great location, close to restaurants and the city beach. Enjoyed also the well arranged pool settings. One of the memorable highlights was the pool bar managed by Kostas an incredibly good barkeeper. His Caipirinha was the best ever had! We absolutely LOVED our stay at Amalia. We were on holiday as a group of 3 friends who meet somewhere every year as we live in different countries. 2 of us stayed for 10 days, and 1 stayed for 7 days. Everything about Amalia was excellent. From the minute we arrived, we felt at home. The hotel is a beautiful, family run place, spotlessly clean, the staff are all wonderful, kind and fun people who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. We spent a lot of time talking to the staff and getting to know them and really enjoyed their company. The breakfast is great (the olive bread was a particular hit with us), Kostas is a fabulous bartender and makes the most amazing cocktails - catered to your individual taste and preference. The pool area is very relaxing, with good music and at the right volume. The hotel location is perfect…. A 10 minute walk into Skopelos town and heaps of beautiful restaurants close by. We can’t recommend Amalia more highly and couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more than we did. It’s a very special place, with very special people. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely return. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Everything was great. Comfortable bed, spacious room, nice balcony. Clean and fresh. Much better than the pictures on the site. Fantastic personnel, especially the guys at the pool bar - best coffee and cocktails on the island! Very happy with our stay! Definitely coming back next time we are in Skopelos!
