Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SpainThe cleaning was not deeply done. The kitchen wardrobes were sticky. There was too little cutlery or even glasses for us. Also little details as coffee capsules (not even one for each, no sugar the first date…) We had to ask for checking in instructions several times because we were not getting them the morning of arrival
The apartment is nice very well located, nice and the beds are confortable. The reaction to problems (coffee machine not working) was quick. Cleaning was done every day and towels and sheets changed daily.

United StatesOne of the shower doors in the bathroom was missing, and there were a few cockroaches in the kitchen one night. Otherwise, no issues!
The location was superb, and right above a delicious bakery where we bought food every morning. The house keeper was also super sweet, and cleaned the house every morning.

CanadaThe wall between the apartments are very thin. The group next to us were really loud and partying until 3am. That isn’t necessarily the owners fault, but bad luck. My husband was upset because when you turn on the air conditioner, it made the whole apartment smell like cigarettes. There were also weird quirks, like we couldn’t close the bedroom door, so we had to lean our backpacks against it to have some privacy.
The property seemed to be in a great location, and the owner was very kind, responsive and helpful. There was also quite a bit of space, which was nice. The bakery below was delicious.

Tiny apartment but cosy, 2 real bedrooms with double bed (confortable matress) upstairs plus 2 single bed downstairs (coach). BrazilThe location was OK. Considering that we booked in the most valuable area in Mykonos, you can’t compare with a place in the other side of the island. The Location was fairly good. But so is 95% of the places in that neighborhood in Mykonos. The hosts were impeccable, and the cleaning lady was very good as well. Other than that, very very disappointing. Probably the worst place i’ve ever stayed in my 5 times in Mykonos. no coffee machine, no toaster,
the hosts were very quick in responding messages and solving issues. The cleaning lady did a great job and she was very kind.Bed was comfortable.
