Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing, it was genuinely perfect.
It was a perfect in all aspects. A wonderfully run family business, with the owner who was a lovely gentleman. His daughter and son ensured that nothing was too much trouble and catered for our every need. It was perfectly located 10 minutes walk from Tinos town. The apartments were immaculately set out and finished to a high standard and a credit to the owners. There is a beach directly in front of the property with beach service, including drinks and food. If a resident then the sunbeds were free to use.

GreeceI tried a lot to find something to write here, but I could not......... :)
Everything was great. The room, the service, the umbrella sets at the beach and the service there, the whole sense of hospitality (original, not pretentious). Breakfast was also very good and with almost no time limit (!) Alexandros and Marlena, two young people with a lot of drive for their work, will offer you a memorable stay ! So, please do not go there, because it usually is full, and we would like to go again in the near future..... :)

I can't say enough good things about Marlena and the staff in Alemár (and meeting baby Paulina) -First & foremost the staff gave us exceptional customer service, friendly, helpful, and so welcoming -The breakfast everyday was fresh, lots of options and really nice -Beds were excellent & very comfortable -The food & drinks available on menu during the day is excellent. -The beach is literally at the front of the property, our room was spotless, great air-conditioning, black out shutters, app enabled tv, pod coffee machine & fridge. -Location is 5mins walk from Tinos town -We spent a week in the Alemár and we would definitely comeback for a lovely relaxing time with beautiful views & lovely people thank you everyone at Alemár

Incredibly clean, peaceful, and lovely inn about a 20 minute walk outside Tinos town. The family who owns it is so kind, and it is easy to relax there. The upstairs rooms are smaller but have excellent ocean views. The included breakfast is delicious. We woke up early just to make sure we made it in time for breakfast. 10/10 stay and would absolutely return again.

SwitzerlandThe hosts were ever so kind, nothing was too much to ask. We were allowed to check in early and check out late. The location is great: close to the port, but in a quiet area with a beach just in front. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast (cooked to order) with fresh ingredients was simply delicious.

United StatesThat I didn't get to stay longer. There's not even a negative I can pretend to come up with!
What an amazing place to stay. The staff (aka the family) are fantastic, extremely helpful, the breakfast is fantastic, the location is fantastic, the rooms are great and the location of the hotel is great too. It's away from the main tinos town but is also only a 20 or so minute walk there. They helped with some of our last minute needs and were just a joy to be around overall

CanadaThe property is not a hotel as much as it is a condo hotel, operated and serviced by a family with roots in Tinos. You won't find a front desk or bell hops to help you with your luggage. But what you will find is a delightful place to spend your time on Tinos, right across from the beach. Think of it more as a rented apartment, but with the key hotel services like housekeeping and food & drink. The room I stayed in was spacious, with a comfy bed, and a generously sized bathroom for Greek island standards. I was on the upper level, with a direct view of the beach and sea. On the ground level, the rooms were enormous, with separate bedroom and living areas, separated by a small kitchen. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels offered daily, and with the sheets changed once during my four night stay. Across the road, right on the beach, is a pergola protected from the wind where you can get breakfast in the morning and light food and drinks through the day. Loungers are available on the beach and you can get food and drink right on the beach, as well. The breakfast is included in the price of your accommodation. While there are only about 7 menu items for breakfast, each item is delicious and was accompanied by fresh orange juice, your selection of various coffees (multiple freddo espressos for me), and a complementary slice of cake, spanakopita and lovely sliced bread with various spreads. I kept going back for the Strapatsada, the scrambled eggs with feta cheese, cherry tomatoes and fresh basil - so good. The breakfast was an absolute delight, especially served sea side in the property's pergola on the beach. There are towels in the room for use at the beach. A small cafe ground level offers light fare through the day. And the property is just a 5 minute drive from town and the port. Also on the beach just down from the hotel are several other beach bars. Alex and his family/team were great hosts.

DenmarkThat I couldn´t stay more.
This place exceeded my expectations. First of all, because it is located in one of the best places on the island, it is just 5 minutes from the center, but far enough to be in a more relaxed place, without the city center's noise and movement. The rooms are very comfy and spacious. The food is delicious, and the beach is just crossing the street. Nevertheless, what I highlight the most is that this is a family business, and the owners are just fantastic hosts. Also, the people working there are very candid and close, so overall, spending time in Alemar is a very nice experience. I recommend choosing the second-floor rooms as those have a direct sea view and are very nicely decorated.

United KingdomNothing to report. One of the best places we've stayed at!
The hotel is in a great location, right on the beach and only a short walk from Tinos town. Alemar has everything a tourist needs to relax and be well looked after by the unbelievably hard working Alex and his family and staff. They are all so welcoming, friendly and courteous. Many other hotels etc could do themselves a favour by taking a leaf out of Alex's work ethic. Guests want for nothing. Alemar is a must if visiting Tinos. Great job Alex, keep up the great work.

The family who own and run the accommodation made sure that we had an amazing time. The accommodation was perfect, clean, spacious and we appreciated the extra touches - insect plug-in, clothes airer and pegs, large balcony with good outdoor furniture. The full size fridge was a bonus. Alexandros the owners son worked hard and always had a smile on his face. Breakfast was amazing with a good choice daily.

United KingdomGreat location right on the beach and close to town. The room was large and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the clear, blue sea. This is a family run hotel and the staff couldn’t have been more delightful. If you find yourself in the fabulous and little known island of Tinos, stay here, hire a little car and explore. You’ll love it.

LithuaniaNo issues with the property. Maybe one comment for future travelers that hotel is about 25 min by foot from Tinos. If you have a lot of luggage it's better to rent a car, get taxi or catch a bus (summer only) as there are no sidewalks for half the path.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room modern and beautifully furnished, clean, all facilities working. Spacious shower, good choice of toiletries. Bed very comfotable, room was quiet. Breakfast was exceptionally tasty, a lot to choose from. The terrace on the shore and restaurant is the highlight of this hotel. Really loved it and would recommend to anyone!

AustraliaWhat a beautiful spot on such a lovely island. The staff (all of them) were amazing and attentive to our every need. Situated directly across a small road to a quiet beach front and only a small stroll into town. My family and I loved it and we can’t wait to return.
