Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaBest to have a car or some mode of transport; although can walk to beach easily in daytime- can't walk to town for evenings easily and no buses available . (But wheels are highly recommended for exploring the best of the entire island anyhow) Room is beautiful but compact, not much space for clothes for 2 people. Pool open 9am to 7.30 pm- would be better if was open for early morning swim and evenings
Excellent views of the bay from room patio and restaurant and pool areas. Staff very friendly and take a personal approach - homemade lemonade and helpful info on arrival. Lovely breakfast with excellent variety each day. Free shuttle to and from ferry port is a real bonus and driver offered great tips on the area.

BelgiumWe like the place very much, maybe there are few points that can mean to other people, such as: bathrooms are very small, shower not completely closed so water goes everywhere. Pillows have some kind of smell when pressed against them.
Staff is extremely helpful and very polite. View from the rooms are just stunning. Breakfast delicious and diverse from one day to another. Hotel bar open all day until late in the evening. Great WIFI coverage.

AustraliaOur stay at Akrotiri Hotel was an absolute dream. As this was the first few days of our holiday, we were so happy to be able to truly relax and soak in the experience of Paros. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they assisted us in organising transport around the island. The breakfast was incredible with so many choices and fresh home made food. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants the best stay in Paros. We will definitely be returning in the future.

GermanyNothing to dislike, really
The room was spacious and very well equipped, including AC and a small fridge. It had a balcony with stunning views over the Paroikia bay. Really, really nice. The breakfast was very good, home-made food, really tasty and varied. We loved it. There is a nice pool and space to park the car. It’s possible to walk to Paroikia (20-30’) and to the beach (10-15’). And last but not least, all people working in the hotel were extremely nice and helpful. They gave us a lot of information about the island and offered to pick up us at the port upon our arrival. We can really really recommend you to stay in this hotel, such a nice experience.

United KingdomA car was definitely needed for the location (as mentioned in other reviews). The hotel staff work with a car rental company who will drop off the vehicle at the hotel if needed and there are plenty of rental companies in tow, so this wasn't an issue. We enjoy walking and walked into town a few times but found it to be a little difficult on the roads and hills (and in the heat!) at times.
The hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations (though the recommendations were quite pricey for what we were looking for). We enjoyed the pool area and breakfast was great - a really good selection and different each day we were there. The view from the hotel was lovely.

SwitzerlandI would prefer some more space in the room, especially for luggage, but that was not a big problem. Also, the town is not very well accessible on foot.
The host was exceptional, welcoming, and informative, with a personal touch, but still very discreet and polite. It was an exemplary case where the persons made a difference. The rooms were in very good shape, with a nice swimming pool area.

United StatesI knew this when booking but it was further from town than I would have liked. I am use to walking a lot so it wasn’t bad I think I just would have spent more time in town if I had booked something closer.
Every staff member was incredibly kind and helpful. Margarita and Electra were especially pleasant. I felt so welcomed and truly enjoyed my stay at Akrotiri.

United KingdomIt's hard to say what I didn't like but if I had to, a kettle would have been a welcome addition to the room. The hotel is located about 15 mins walk from the town centre, it's a pleasant walk but some of it is uphill (hence the amazing views!) We managed well enough but anyone with limited mobility might struggle with parts of it.
What a fantastic place to stay. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was incredible with a huge variety of freshly baked goods on offer along with yoghurt, fruit, toast etc. The pool area was very clean and the pool itself was a good size - the pool drinks service was an added bonus! The room was lovely with an amazing view down to Parikia. Because of the location of the hotel we stayed in to eat a couple of nights. The menu choices were good, food was freshly prepared, delicious and the prices were good too. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing time. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Paros.

LuxembourgNot really a bad point as I knew it: better have a car/quad/bike to get here, by foot is a bit far away (especially at night) from the town.
Very friendly staff, always smiling and helpfull at all times. Relaxed atmosphere, superb breakfast (greek homemade and changing every day), great view with the pool overlooking the bay. Large pool perfect for swimming and great cocktails and snacks.

AustraliaThe hotel is a bit out of the main centre for walking, To improve for guest the owners should make representations to transport authorities to install a bus stop nearby.

FranceWe had room 202, which has a sea view but is at the bottom of the property and the noise of the pool filtration/pump is very audible and constant. A bit like having a hoover on day and night, non stop noise hindering having window open or sitting on terrace.

The most beautiful hotel. The staff are very helpful and accommodating, the hotel is clean and well equipped. We looked forward to the amazing breakfasts every morning - wow! The views were stunning. Little buttons by the sunbeds by the pool to press when you wanted to order something off the menu - enough choice on the menu that you could have dinner there if you didn’t fancy going into town. It is walkable into Parikia if you are able to- around 25 minutes walk which is via the beaches. It’s a pleasant walk. It may be a problem for people who are not as mobile but it is clearly pointed out on booking.com that this hotel is not in the centre of Paros. We chose not to rent a car and walked in and out of the town daily - not a problem. Free port transfers on arrival and departure. We were so sad to leave!
