Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe shower runs out of hot water fairly quickly--however this is avoidable if you turn the water heater on at least 15 minutes before you shower.
We loved everything about our stay at Aeries Mandrakia! The cottage was beautiful and charming. The location of this seaside cottage can't be beat--just steps away from Medusa restaurant and next to a delicious outdoor smoothie/cocktail bar. We loved sitting out on the porch, watching the sunset or drinking our coffee. The host stocked the kitchen for us with eggs, yogurt, cereal, bread, coffee and juice--among other treats! This was just the perfect stay for our trip to Milos...highly recommend!

IrelandI would have liked the hot water to allow for a longer shower.
Beautiful location with sea views. The property is beautifully designed and maintained. The food provided was a lovely touch and meant we didn’t have to shop for breakfast! The lady who showed us around was so helpful, gave us good tips and we also got a great information message with beach and restaurant recommendations etc.

She was the most amazing host I have ever met. The kitchen is fully stocked with grocery. We are steps away from one of the most famous restaurants on the island. I would definitely come back again!

ItalyThis unique accommodation in the beautiful village of Mandrakia exceeded my family and I's expectations. The location was the perfect base point for exploring the island of Milos, and we loved returning to it in the evenings after our days exploring. We had our own car (which I'd recommend to anyone visiting) and travelling between the different villages and beaches was straightforward and didn't take much time at all. The house is super charming - with its stone interior and modern furnishings we felt immediately at home. Everything was clean and well maintained. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the owner, Magda, who explained everything about the house to us. We found the fridge stocked full of items for us to make breakfast during the following days (fruit, eggs, cheese, greek yoghurt, toast, jams, milk, etc). This was such a thoughtful gesture and was deeply appreciated by all of us. Every detail and consideration in regards to our stay was planned perfectly. There is a spacious terrace with a bench and chairs outside. You can watch the sunset over the village in the evening (breathtaking). Finally, the house is 100 m distance from one of the best restaurants on the island - MEDUSA. Definitely a must try while staying here. I highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to experience life in an authentic fishing village in Milos in full comfort and fashion. I'd be delighted to stay here again in the future. Well done to the owners and entire management team!

United StatesIt is outside of town, so you need to rent a car or schedule a taxi. I actually liked this part. Just know you should probably rent a car or scooter.
This was the best accommodation. "Breakfast" was included but that really meant a stocked kitchen with other foods besides yogurt and eggs. So many 10/10 on this private, stand alone studio. This is perched above an old, small fishing village. There is a coffee spot and one restaurant, Medusa's which was delicious. I would recommend this to anyone and stay here again next time.

This property was absolutely phenomenal! The location was amazing, set in a gorgeous fishing village with a great restaurant. John, our host, gave the best service we have ever had from a property. When we arrived we had everything provided for breakfast the next morning……eggs, ham, cheese, cereal, bread etc..extremely handy when there is no shop in the village. And then every second day we would come back to home baked treats! They were extremely thoughtful and couldn’t do enough for us, we absolutely loved this place!

New ZealandHot water tended to run out quickly, but nothing we couldn't manage.
Excellent property overall. Great range of breakfast supplies provided and a well appointed kitchen for self-catering. Sercice and communications with property owner was excellent. It was spacious, the outdoor area had both sun and shade. Location was lovely with lots of swimming options and even with the road there it felt quiet and relaxing.

Everything about Aerides Mandrakia was lovely; the home, the hosts, the location, everything. We showed up and the hosts showed us around the house, had the pantry and fridge stocked with breakfast and lunch items and plenty of bottled water. The home is perfectly laid out with a great bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and sitting area. The hosts also provided their direct number in case we had any needs (we didn't). Nearby Medusa is an incredible restaurant with a gorgeous view; be sure to arrive early as a line with form. Finally the view from the porch is breathtaking. We spent most of our time relaxing there and enjoying the view. If you're on the fence, do it!

The apartment was situated in by the beautiful fishing village Mandrakia, where you can eat at Medusa, one of the best taverns on Milos. It was very comfortable and had multiple places to recline, relax and chill. It was well kitted out and the host provided everything we needed including great coffee and things for breakfast Its really easy to explore the rest of the island and a short drive to adamantas and plaka for more greaat food. I would definitely stay again.

United StatesVilla Mandrakia My (now) wife and I stayed at Aerides Mandrakia for a weekend after our wedding – we couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The place was clean and well laid out and the hosts had helpfully left some food in the fridge. It was just what we wanted to chill out and just destress from the wedding itself. The villa itself is situated on the road just up from the tiny village of Mandrakia and the porch offers wonderful views of the sun setting behind the hills opposite the bay - we loved sitting out watching them! There’s also an amazing restaurant 50m down the hill that serves fantastic local (and very well priced) Greek fare. Would definitely advise having independent transport as the village is a 10-15 min drive from any major towns. Loved the stay and our only complaint was that we hadn’t gotten there sooner. If we’re ever in Milos again, we’ll 100% be staying there!

MexicoThis was the most gorgeous little house we've ever stayed in. The interior decoration is stunning. It's got thoughtful touches, and everything you could possibly need. The little town of Mandrakia is a nice, tranquil base to explore the island from, and you'll appreciate the view of the bay from the porch. Although there's a road in front of the house, it's not too busy. And the host, Maria, was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. Staying in her house was like staying with family. All in all, this was probably our most memorable booking ever, and certainly our favorite among our stays across Greece. 10/10.

I don’t know where to start, everything was just beyond our expectations! Great location to reach everything there is to see on the island of Milos. The house is beautifully decorated and some groceries await you on your arrival (milk, water, fruit, eggs, cake, bread, marmalade, Kellogg’s…). Everything you may need in the kitchen and/or the bathroom is available which made our stay really comfortable. We also felt really safe regarding the Covid-19 situation as the house was perfectly clean. Finally, the host is adorable and very helpful. We will surely book this accommodation again if we ever come back to Milos! We wish we had spent our entire stay here. We highly recommend Aerides Mandrakia Milos!
