Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe stayed one week at the Aeolos Beach Hotel and it was amazing!! The bungalows and all the flowers reminded a typical Greek village. The bungalows were spacious and comfortable. The garden and flowers were simply beautiful and the restaurant at the beach had a breathtaking sea view. We wanna thank Maria for taking care of us so well, we felt truly appreciated by her every time we had dinner. She was excellent!!

AustraliaFood offering was generic. food was fresh and good quality but having eaten at lots of tavernas, more Greek food would have been nice. most guests seemed to be on package tours where meals were included.
lovely sea view room with view over pool to the beach. very spacious room. Great to be located a little way out of Kos town. we had a rental car which made getting around easy.

IrelandWe had an issue with the hot water (there was none) for 2 days. The issue was quickly fixed and we received complimentary late checkout plus a bottle of wine. No issues overall, staff very good and reception very attentive! Great place to spend your holls!!!
Very clean, comfy room. We had a bungalow right next to the pool and 10m from the beach. Everything was spotless, very clean throughout, daily cleaning and the pool was just 5 steps from the back of the room. Top tip,ask for a ground floor room, you will not regret it! The food was very good, with many choices! The reception staff were great. We arrived very late due to a flight delay and we had water, wine and food waiting for us in the room! We also had complimentary late check out and drinks! Will definitely stay here again!!!

AustriaWe booked the all inclusive version- a better variety on cocktails would have been great. it doesn’t have to be high end, but just not all the same typical sweet taste.
you get good value for your money- it is not very luxurious but it is good 4 star resort in Greek standards. All the staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is typical hotel buffet food, but it is all around really tasty. the location is very convenient and the area is so huge, even with the hotel totally booked - there must be at least 300 at once - but there is plenty of space for everybody and you still can have a quiet place near the beach.

NetherlandsThe food is ok and served as buffet. As possible improvement, the hotel could serve one first dish and one second dish, prepared/cooked like normal restaurant. The half board solution was for me the best since I could enjoy excellent food at cheap price in outside restaurants for lunch and a lighter dinner in the hotel. If it is windy, the hotel is going to get all the wind, but this is probably a common "issue" for any hotel on that side of the island.
The Premium Bungalow Sea Front are very very very nice, internally and for the wonderful view of the sea and the premium swimming pool. I really recommend to spend some days in this hotel.

United StatesMost of all, bedding and food. I felt like I was staying at Motel 6. The mattresses, bedsheets, pillows and bedspreads were old. They put 2 single beds together for us. There were old brown bed spreads only on the top of the old sheets. As far as food is concerned, we did know what to eat after the second day. They served the same food, stale bread, frozen or canned vegetables, awful sweetened fruit flavored drinks breakfast time. For dinner time, we had to buy drinks including water. Dinners were pretty bad. So we ended up eating dinner outside. Property needs maintenance such as new paint, minor repairs and landscaping. We had bugs in the balcony for 3 days. They sprayed and swept the bugs for 3 days. It is a 2-star hotel not 4-star. Hotel guests were mostly Europeans. They play loud fast music in the dining hall although they called it a restaurant. It was more like a cafeteria of a college to me.

NetherlandsWe had a lovely stay at Aiolos Beach Hotel. The room was spacious with an extra couch. It seemed recently renovated and the bathroom was very modern. We found the food at the hotel very tasty with many options. In specific, in the dinner you could taste all sorts of Greek traditional meals which reminded me my Greek grandmother’s cooking. This is something very special and rare to find in Greek hotels. The hostesses were very friendly and did their best to make our stay memorable. All employees were professional and cared to support you. The swimming pool was huge and we had great time drinking coffee and beers while getting some sun. The lifeguard made you feel safe, especially those with kids playing inside the pool. The hotel’s wifi was decent and never faced any strong issues with it. Of course you have to keep in mind that you are visiting an island that cannot benefit from the high speed of mainland’s hubs.

HungaryAs other opinions reflected on it as well, the buffet style dinner was rather disappointing, as the food was tasteless and not seasoned at all and we had the impression that most of the dishes were made of canned tomato puree. It was edible, but to have an authentic greek experience, I would suggest to explore in the town nearby.
Booked the premium bungalow and it was magical! The location was perfect, you open your door and you see the pool and beyond the pool the gorgeous beach and sea. Staff was very friendly. The premium bungalows seemed to be built recently, especially compared to the average greek rooms the furniture and interior design felt modern and new.
